Was checking Lupinko's twitter and he hasn't post anything Marvel related as of late.
I was hoping to get more teases these last few hours, the thread and whatever rumor appears will have to do lol
 
You know thats something I haven't thought about. A lot of character inclusions seem to be asked for by the MvC team. Like it doesn't seem like capcom higher goes "you can use anyone". Rather they go to other dev groups and ask, which is interesting.

This is based off comments like the MonHun team saying no for 3, and stuff like that. I bring this up because I wonder how this works for older series with no real face or group to them.

Would that be a case where they just ask higher management? I can't imagine they had very many roadblocks to add firebrand or Hagar.

I could deal with this. But wow. Even with a roster of 30. Really shows how much a group of 3 can take away from roster diversity.

All things considered I think this is a fairly reasonable/safe-to-predict roster but Bison as a third SF rep doesn't make all too much sense - I imagine it'd likely be Akuma again. I also feel we'd get Dante over Vergil.

I guess you can argue CapCom might be an out-there guess but these games usually always have at least one "out there" inclusion.

Bison is one of Capcom's biggest, most well known villians. To be honest, it was weird he wasn't in MvC3.

You realize that Carol is Captain Marvel now, right (at most, her old Ms. Marvel suit may be an alt)? As for Scarlet Witch, as mentioned before, Capcom would have to beg to get her in. You also forgot Groot, who Polygon leaked. Also, no Dante?

I had Uncle Dante in there initially but subbed him out- maybe it's just the circles I run in, but Vergil has always seemed like a more popular character despite it being Dante's series- and he was a ton of fun in 3. Could see them going either way.

Surely it'll be Dante using his DMC5 design, soon to be revealed, r-right guys?

Yeah, but I used the Ms. Marvel design cuz I like it more; same reason I used DnA Rocket and Star-Lord. In my head anyway, Groot and Rocket could be a single character or something, so it could give me another space to put another character on the sheet.

I'll give you points for the DnA designs for the Guardians, though they'll likely opt for the movie costumes. As for Carol, I honestly prefer her Captain Marvel costume, even though I did like her old Ms. Marvel costume. Plus, there's another great hero who has the Ms. Marvel name, now.

As for Rocket & Groot, Polygon mentioned Groot by himself while Eurogamer mentioned Rocket & Groot separately.
 
so wait, the bigger question is, are we gonna see any new characters at the exhibition or the announcement tomorrow?

when this shit happened with sfv, we only saw chun and ryu. do any of the cool kid insiders know if we're gonna get just a shitty ryu/whatever vs cap/iron man showing (which is not shitty at all because holy fuck marvel 4) or can we expect some more hype to be thrown our way in regards to characters?

He could have a really fun moveset with his Nero arm and his Angel and Demon subweapons. In a way bigger roster, I'd be fine seeing him as a third DMC rep to replace Trish, I just don't think he'd be better than regular Dante-Ass-Dante.
