I want them to reveal the games MAX 2 years before release.

Look at Bloodborne reveal to launch. Perfect, just perfect.

I actually think announcing FF7 remake early was a good call with the plans they have. Imagine having to explain that the game is going to be released in parts when it is to be released within a year. With it having a ways ago I think it will be plenty of time for everyone to accept the plan they have. Anyways so far they have been pretty good at giving info about it and actual gameplay footage,

Yep.

We learn of it now and wait until release. Or we wait years to know about it and for it to get released relatively soon afterward. It doesn't matter how you slice it because you're going to have to wait for an extensive period regardless.

Yup. perfection is saying it lightly. It was nothing but hype.

project beast leaked trailer --> E3 trailer --> nightwork test alpha --> release date

in less than a year.

Just perfection.

I can't imagine people whining at E3 2015 if it ended up having Horizon, TLG, Shenmue 3 (this at least has a real reason for being revealed early) and a ballin' Uncharted 4 trailer. There was a bunch of other neat stuff as well.

You could have easily cut FF7R and Dreams from it, tighten the pacing and have a great show. Hell, work with Square and throw in KH3 and Nier trailers Square had if possible.

I think everyone can agree that pubs should at least cut out the CG Trailer announcement shit though. I stopped caring about delays (honestly everyone should stop getting so invested in release dates) so I can wait as long as the devs need.

Right if anything Horizon should be the template going forward when it comes to unveiling new games.

I don't really agree we have had substantial updates and footage with dreams even though that has a long way to go.

That's true and it's miles better than what SE is doing with VIIR/KH3 with year long (and probably more if they don't show at PSX, which they won't) almost total silence. If you pay any attention to the Dreams project they have shown tons outside of press conferences.

Here's the thing doe, IMO Dreams announcement was totally wasted at E3 2015. Firstly because nobody knew what the hell it was and quickly forgot about it. It desperately needed at least a fast look at the creation tools on stage, and secondly it was overshadowed by UC4 and Horizon SO hard, partly because those two actually got lenghty look at the actual game in action.

Dreams IMO should have been announced later for bigger impact. Especially when it was still so far off.

I hope to god Colin and Greg at least try it out on the show floor. If they refuse to even do that they will look at total fools. This physically hurts me too I like them but the PS Pro ignorance has really dissapointed me as a fan (not saying they have to like it, I want them to try it and report correct information)

This brings up another important thing. I hope no one complains about the obligatory third party game trailers they have to show due to publisher relations. As long as they don't bring people on stage to talk about it there is no reason to bitch. If it's like E3 it should be fine.

Apparently Japan Studio is doing one, but it hasn't been announced yet.

A good place to start on the JRPG front would be actually acknowledging titles like Persona 5, Gravity Rush 2, and Nier: Automata in the west... Just sayin'.

Well I was already going to get the HD Collection LE art book signed too since that's the only thing I have for MGS2 (my GOAT) and I don't want to hold up the line too long. I guess I could just take both and read the situation haha

If he's going to sign autographs, it'll probably be with a black marker so I'd say MGS3 because you'll have the signature directly on the cover.
