DOTA 2 v7.00: New Journey (Test Client Dec 11, Main Client Dec 12)

I don't really see what talents make the game any worse. It seems like a new way to deal with an old problem, that being the game can be decided purely in the pick phase. While this might still be the case, the talents seem to allow players to make mid-game strategic individual choices to meet changing needs.

But who am i to judge. it's different so it's bad?

No stats either? Fuck this. Came to Dota because it had gameplay that let the player freestyle. This is garbage and pens you in.

Well, no Items can do so much: You mana drain SK, he can't resurrect. He picks the no mana cost for resurrection and he is no longer disabled as a choice from the get go because he has super hard counterpicks.
 
* Moved Roshan location to a new area in the upper left rune location.
* Reworked entire jungle terrain for Radiant and Dire (both primary and secondary jungles) and connecting routes
* The Primary jungle for each team now has 1 Ancient, 2 hard, 2 medium, and 1 small camp (previously 2 hard, 2 medium, and 1 small)
* The Secondary jungle for each team now has 1 Ancient, 1 hard and 1 medium camp (previously 1 ancient, and 1 hard)
* Reworked many ward spot locations and juke paths
* Adjusted tree distribution to the left of the top radiant barracks
* Added various juke paths near the map edges between tier 1 and tier 2 towers
* Added more pathable areas near and below the side shop for each offlane


* Neutrals spawn time from 0:30/1/2/3/4/etc to 0:30/1/3/5/7/etc

soo many things change here:
- now blocking camp (and deblocking camp) wont give you that much return of investment.
-4 total ancient camp wtf
now playing support in early game will be harder wont it

I like the concept of Talents, but some of them look super OP on paper.

7.01 when? Also, when is Icefraud going to add ability capsules, so I can change my talent late game???

I was talking about the wording, not the actual stuff.

Also, I hate this in general. Used to be able to have to choose and you'd get incremental bonuses - i.e. when AM/Jugg/WK would go stats to get more mana or health early, at the cost of skill levels, or you'd be better off with stats. Surely people remember 1-1-1 AM/Fighting Jugg, or when AA was garbage and you could max cold feet and then 1-1 and skills. + you'd get the bonus then. Now they can't make that choice because they're penned into whatever BS talent they get that Valve/IF decides is fine AND stuck waiting til 5/10/whatever.

They get both their skills and a free item now. Shits lame. Anyway, enjoy the patch. I'm done debating this.

Purchase Items

No more scrambling to purchase items and get into position for that pre-horn smoke gank. Now you can purchase your starting items before you even spawn in the fountain. So finish your shopping early and start moving around the map the moment the game loads.
