Overwatch: Reflections comic out [Hanzo cake obsession and Roadhog's circumcision]

The outrage over Tracer being a lesbian is precisely why that would never, ever happen.
We're still a good 100+ years before we accept Trans people. Wait, we elected Trump. Make that 300 years.
The canonical plot really hasn't even started yet. It has gone as far as: a second Omnic Crisis may be starting, and Winston has initiated the Overwatch Recall. It feels like most of the material is still just establishing who the cast is so far.
It's like Mortal Kombat in that regard. There are hints of story in the games via stuff in the maps and interactions between characters but the gameplay itself is non canonical.

Technically speaking the only media that's even set after the Recall either includes Tracer or Winston. Essentially every other short, comic, and detail is set before the Recall.

I wouldn't mind. The guy is such a lovable dork, and everyone needs some lovin'.
The new comic is such a cute story, and the scenes where we see the characters doing their own thing on their respective holidays was particularly sweet. (Dat Genji/Mercy letter exchange.) It was also funny seeing Roadhog and Junkrat having a blast at Luna Park.
Reaper is an interesting case. He looks kind of silly sulking in the background in his grimness and all, but I have to wonder who the people in the foreground are.

I'm not sure they are meant to be anyone, just a happy family that Reaper is watching in between doing whatever Reaper stuff he gets up to. Up to the viewer how to interpret that; maybe he on some level misses having friends and family? The only people we ever see him with are Widowmaker and Sombra and they both ditched him to go do other things on Christmas (hell, Sombra is drinking with McRee which is like an extra smack to Reaper).
That or he's just sitting in the dark getting pissed. FUCK HAPPINESS AND CHRISTMAS CHEER, DARKNESS IS ALL THAT IS TRUE.
Just look for anime avatars on YouTube. Got to scream how upset they are that Blizzard is pushing the Tumblr/SJW agenda.

I do t know, that's why I'm asking - it crashes whenever I get half way through the comic. But lots of people commenting on widowmaker and her husband so wanted to know what it showed!
Maybe figure out how to read that part, because....

Wait hold on it's late at night on like Christmas Eve or whatever to the point that everything's closed and Winston was expecting them to be there already, and Tracer and Emily somehow booked a last minute flight from London to Gibraltar under these conditions and got to the Overwatch base on the Rock of Gibraltar in time before the night was over
It's just such a weird panel, and given that we have confirmation about Torb's family, I thought we might have got a similar response to Reaper sitting there in the rain waiting to kill Bruce Wayne's parents.

Do we know the range on teleporters in the Overwatch universe? We know they exist already, so it's not too much of a stretch to say they both just zapped over to the base.

Like I know that it's the future and the answer is that they have flying car Ubers that can cross international lines in like 30 minutes but it just struck me that these two locations are quite a ways apart

I think the idea of the comic is that the late meeting is a red herring.
Winston is sitting there wondering where Tracer is, and then you see Tracer rushing and worrying she will be late.
However, in reality, you find out Tracer isn't rushing to meet Winston, she's rushing to buy a present for Emily.
She's just *also* late to Winston's event, which might be happening the next day, or even later.
Tracer is a host confirmed?

The real twist is Blizzard does it but nobody cares because it is a woman and Winston is straight.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they do. Winston is sentient with human-level intelligence. Also, a primate. In a setting where people are dating omnics, it would seem weird if more progressive people thought there was something wrong with Winston falling in love with a human being.
Though I suppose logically, Winston should have some desire to be reunited with the other uplifted Moon Gorillas.

I have a theory about that Reaper panel, and I'm not sure anyone has said this yet. That's Gabriel's son (or daughter) and grandson, and that gift was FROM Reaper to the boy. Because who gives their kid a present in the pouring rain I'd they can avoid it? It looks to me like Reaper is kneeling, as you should do when talking to small children. So why is Reaper skulking? He can't let Talon find out he has a family or else they will use them as leverage over him. Or maybe he doesn't want anyone to see that the Lord of Death is actually a family man so he's protecting his image. Either way, I believe that is Gabriel Reyes' family.
