There's tons of contact on a hail mary. It's just the way it is. Unless people want refs to start calling dpi for contact before the ball gets there because every hail mary would have dpi called.

Cobb barely affected where the defender was or where he was jumping. Tate straight up sent a guy to the ground. They're seriously incomparable.
The Seattle fail Mary wasn't even a catch anyway because the defender had possession of the ball when they hit the ground.

Browns got called for a PI on a Hail Mary a couple years ago against Detroit. Lions got an untimed down and won the game.
