"They don't like the faces."

"Okay."

"Maybe we just tinker a little bit here and--"

"FIXED IT"

So X's huge cliffhanger will never be resolved, huh....

Yeah, as much as I'm excited for Xenoblade 2.

I'm actually pretty annoyed that they've just left it on that cliffhanger. It was a shit cliffhanger anyway, but, at least I thought it might have been solved before. Argh!

Why. Why is this anime.

It clashes so horrendously with the 3D environment. If they needed to go anime they could have used Kozaki's designs or just scrap the 2D design part of it altogether. How do they plan to sell this to more international territories like this.

Why. Did they just give up on 3D character models? There was a middle ground to take and they just ignored it.

Why.

Look at the weapon and environment and enemy textures and then back at the characters. Tell me you aren't confused as FK.

So if its coming later this year it has to be really short something right? I love Xenoblade but so far I'm not feeling the same kind of excitement I had for XBC or XCX.

The original Xenoblade was basically a shonen anime until the endgame.

This looked great! Large creatures, running around fields... really felt like Xenoblade. Coming in 2017 too!

Best news is that XB1's music team is back. Hell yeah!

Wow, I mean XBX's story was terrible compared to Xenoblade, but the whole excuse was that game #1 was just setting up the plot for a more story-driven game #2.

This is like if they made Xenosaga Ep1 and then their next game was Xenogears 2. I mean that's cool and all, but it just makes XBX look even worse if they ditch the franchise complete and the game universe never really amounts to anything.

Kinda disappointed that this is not a continuation of X especially that ended on a cliffhanger.

It's not just the cliffhanger, XBX explored a very tiny bit of the universe as a whole. The Federation, the Samaarian, L, some of the more misterious races, hell one of the two factions that destroyed Earth in the intro was barely mentioned in the game. There was a great set up to work with.

If this follows Xenoblade 1 "mold" of being typical shonen fare with a Takahashi twist at the end I'm gonna be very disappointed.

XCX port is surely still coming, there's a bunch of stuff reported by multiple sources that was just a no show today. Hell, Mario Kart barely got a showing

This is freaking incredible. The first Xenoblade is my favorite game of all time and was just disappointed by X. So this sequel was exactly what I was hoping for. So freaking excited for this

I'm surprised at the character model hate. Yeah it's anime, but I'll take the blatant anime look over the weird ass looking characters of the past two games. I bet this one sells the best by far too

of course they finally move to a cell shaded look and don't do it with Tanaka who's style is best suited for it. T_T

SO HYPED THO OMG

Ugh at the character designs. XCX's designs weren't that inspired but I'll take it over the bland Tales-esque anime look. It doesn't really bother me that this isn't following up on XCX since most gameplay mechanics were middling (and the story was awful) so hopefully this is working from a fresh slate. XC's ending gives the opportunity to do anything (as we saw with XCX).

The most bizarre part is that XCX was already setup as a sequel to XC.
