ACE did some of the best tracks in Xenobladem so I'm glad they're back on board.

Sucks that Shimomura's name wasn't there though.

Soraya Saga seems pretty sure it'll be released in 2017.
She never said the date like this.
I'm sure it's no XenobladeX situation because they had so many problems to deal with on this one.

Japanese version that is.

Glad they got all the original composers back (except Shimomura). Manami Kiyota is especially welcome since she wrote the majority of the music you heard the most in Xenoblade.

I wonder if Mitsuda will just be contributing a song again, like the first game. Would be nice to hear more from him.

I still think this game will come out relatively soon. Graphically, and technically with the world size and what they're pushing it doesn't seem any more complex than XCX. I feel like they have a pretty good grasp on making this kind of game, and this doesn't feel like a jump technically like Xenoblade -> Xenoblade X,

This is...lame. I want Baten Kaitos 3 instead. I hate that Monolith Soft only makes Xenoblade games now. Same fucking MMO combat system, story structure, yeah the open world is pretty but the quest system is going to be atrocious with filler everywhere, pointless collectible everywhere, at least the music is going to be good.

But holy shit, talk about a lame trailer.

Why didn't they start with the Monado and giant creature shot? That's iconic to Xenoblade. Instead you have terrible looking cutscenes that don't look cool and aren't nearly as evocative.

"I'm going to Elysium for you."

Yeah man, real good stuff there...

There will never be a Baten Kaitos 3.

We need to let it go, unfortunately. Xenoblade is Nintendo's Tales-like franchise now.

I never finished either Xeno game so I think I'll skip this one. I admire the scope of the games, but the quests are just horrid and the story complete trash.

I think if they took the mechanics from Xenoblade/X and refined it, then it's possible that release time is actually faster than people may believe.

If it really is a sequel to XBC (instead of FFesque),
looks like Bionis is moving.
The symbol on the girl's chest has the shape of the Zohar, it's slightly different from the Lifehold.
There are Nopons.
The blond girl's tiara is different too.

"I love this world because you're in it!"

Wow, you're making Luna from FFXV blush with that line. lol

I think the translation is off. A direct translation of that line is: "This world that has EVERYONE in it, I love it so" or "I love this world, which has everyone living in it."

Logo is eh, game looks like an insta-buy.

My faith was shaken by X, but going back to the fantasy vibe sucks me right back in.

Will be shocked if this shows up before holiday 2018 in the US though.

+ They fixed the character faces! We're full blown anime now, but huge improvement.
+ Sense of exploration and adventure was strong in the trailer.
+ Music was good.

- MC design is shit.
- Framedrops all over the place in the trailer

Sign me up day 1 anyways, best announcement of the night for me.

Weird that they're calling it Xenoblade 2, but it looks great. Not quite as mindblowing as XCX, but then , few games are. It's only a teaser so I'm very excited to see what the game's gonna offer. Skells in XCX were one of the best things in a videogame ever devised, so I'm definitely expecting multiple means of traversal in this.

The characters look alright, it's generic anime, but it's sure better than the grotesque aborrations of XC and XCX.

Made me laugh. The couple of lines in the trailer alone almost confirmed that I'm likely not going to enjoy the story/writing at all, but it's not like that stopped XBX being fucking addictive as hell.

That was a very good trailer. They sure know how to do things on a grand scale. The sword revealed was great. Very excited for XBC2's release, whenever it is.

Now... I'm going to admit I thought the sky dragon was going to eat the world tree up until it was revealed to be flying far in front of it. Sort of bummed it didn't happen.

Noticed there are actually character names "revealed" in the script text behind Takahashi's name. You can see lines for "Rex" and "Jin" in the script.

No, it's not off. Context is important, she's probably talking directly to the party, so when she says "everyone" it is contextualized as everyone she is talking to, ie: "you".

They gotta change that main characters design man, or at least start with different equipments, because I hope I don't have to wear that fucking outfit.

I'm fucking in all the way though.

I really, really hope they fix the awful battle system from the previous games.

Those obnoxious bubbles on the horizontal line are simply terrible. They really need to rework the UI in general.

I couldn't play Xenoblade after about 5 hours in because I got fed up with the awful UI, I still haven't cracked open my copy of X after playing a demo of it and seeing the same annoying UI.

Monolith, I like you guys. I like your games. Please fix this for me.

This looks really rough honestly. The game looks like it's ready to crash any moment with that frame rate.

Hopefully it's the result of a slowmo effect for the trailer.

So...no love story? :(
