Loved the japanese VAT!!! (didn't listen to any other dub)

The trailer (together with the SMT 5 & Fire Emblem musou announcement) was the best of the show.

The variety of environments and the gameplay segments were awesome!!

What are the chances of being able to choose which voice acting you get? Loved the Japanese VA but some of the English dub rubbed me the wrong way.

Incredible trailer btw. Legit goosebumps.

I have the impression that...

Zelda was trying to be the "Link" protecting Hyrule during the 100 years that Link went asleep. At least during the recent period. The clothes almost giving it away that she's not in "princess clothes" and the fact that she says that she tried everything and didn't matter.

EU Boxart.

First time since Soul Calibur for Dreamcast that I'm buying a console at launch
for one and only one game.

Last Nintendo console was the Gamecube.

Legit fucking chills all over. Need to watch it one more time.

Wow! The game looks amazing, albeit technically unimpressive.
I hope this won't undermine the art direction.

10/10 trailer. Dat music! O_O

Man, the voice acting adds SO MUCH! Shame on everyone who kept saying they don't want it in a Zelda game. It's a damn requirement!

Any comparison pics between the Switch/Wii U versions? I'm probably going with the Wii U version if there are little differences visually. I expect both to more or less hit the same fps. Way too little day-1 games for me to get Switch at launch.

You could have said this about MGSV trailers before that game came out

Actually I would never say that because the MGS games before V were really story focused, so I would say that MGS V was just like the games before it and not "more" story heavy.

But yeah, point taken, it makes sense.

Yeah, I watch the game shown at E3 for two hour and I watch this, these moments feel few and far between. Man, I want to be excited after watching this trailer.

Nintendo, a company that has barely made a single truly great trailer in the last decade, just made one of the greatest video game trailers ever. Holy fucking shit. The art, the cinematography, the pacing, the music; I have no words.

E3 Demo had towns and NPCs removed.

I know. I'm talking about the huge calamity and the tone that it sets in the trailer. This felt really high stakes. With the current gameplay structure in the open world, I don't expect there to be the same kind of focus. I haven't heard music that is remotely similar in the gameplay demos, either.

So Nintendo pulled off to beat zelda OT.
I know we need to play it first, but damn, I didn't see any games in the last 10 years that was that amazing. I hope it hits the first place above mario galaxy on gameranking.

I'm at that level right now. The very extensive gameplay showings didn't make me nearly as excited.

Same, and I watched the full e3 coverage several times, but I was able to keep my hype grounded even if I was excited from all that. Maybe because it was direct gameplay and my mind never made up stuff to fill in the blanks/make up it's own story.

Smart deduction from a cinematic launch trailer

actually I just read the quote about the game's story:

This game has a heavy focus on experience and also freedom. It’s not really story heavy. You can choose to do all of the tasks and all of the missions and you’ll still get to the end, or you could choose not to do all of them, and you can still get to the end.
The story isn’t as clear cut as it was in the past with the existence of Ganon, Link, and Zelda. With this one it’s a little bit more vague. You’ll kind of feel what Ganon is, and you’re going to feel maybe this is what Zelda is like, or this is what Link is like. It’s really Link’s adventure in discovering all of that.

And yes, what he said still makes sense because even if this Zelda isn't story heavy it can still have more story than the serie's standard since they never were story heavy anyway. So I now get what he meant.

But anyway, this trailer had some cutscenes that I wouldn't expect from a Zelda game, which is amazing imo.

Watched it 5 times now and the second half of the trailer made me tear up every time. Holy shit that orchestral soundtrack....

Yep, the more laid back music was fine but god damn if Zelda isn't at its best when it's got a huge orchestral score behind it

Got ya but I would wait to see what they show tomorrow as they may be willing to show off more then just the sandbox for Zelda. Don't forget the demo did have the guardians and and rock monster. We even got that Horseback vs Guardian footage and all those seem to be dynamic battles that can just happen in the world.
