I think I've seen the trailer 100 times at this point.

And I don't think a single trailer has sold me on a game more than this.

Is there a quote for this? I've just been looking these past few days and haven't found one. Might just be overlooking something.

During the E3 Treehouse they said the game also had regular dungeons. Didn't specify how many.
BUT, considering there was a rumor before E3 about the game having 100 mini dungeons and 4 main dungeons, and come E3 the 100 mini dungeons rumor was confirmed, and now on the map we see these 4 animals, and 4 pillars in front of Hyrule castle. People are just adding up everything together.

Are there any direct feed non-Youtube videos of the game out yet? I want to see how it really looks on the Switch but Youtube compression is making even the best videos look like crap.

This one from Digital Foundry is the best one you are going to get:

It's for the WiiU version though.

As someone who is uninterested in a Switch, guess im getting it day 1.

Sigh.....
You could probably find a Wii U for considerably cheaper than a switch

Or if you have a decent PC you could buy the game and use the CEMU emulator which is perfectly legal and apparently runs the games surprisingly well

Its the insanely good music man, and the editing so the pace of the trailer matches the pace of the music. Too good.

It'd be great if the Switch version had motion controls. There's not the slightest hint of it, though.

It does, for minimal aiming and stuff.

A "decent" PC? You need a very powerful PC if you want the game to run smoothly, and if you want to increase the resolution then you'll need even more power.

Don't expect the game to run perfectly right away. First, you can be sure Nintendo will add some kind of protection or programming trick that will make it harder for CEMU to emulate the game. Usually those tricks rear their heads and make you get stuck or crash the emulator.
Secondly, CEMU still has bugs and kinks to work out. Specially if you want to play with a higher resolution. That always introduces issues that crash the games. They usually work on a per-game basis (for high profile games) to fix those issues, so it could take a few weeks or months before BotW is able to be played from start to finish flawlessly.

I think I've decided I'm going to let my old E3 Wii U Zelda pre-order play out and access the game that way. A Switch will be coming later for me.

I'm hoping the two versions are somewhat comparable.

Wow, that huge elephant beast was seen since the E3 "beyond the plateau" demo and no one caught it until Zeltik pointed it out on his latest analysis.

Wait what??? You mean we've seen the elephant? I though that was the only one we haven't seen yet.

Well, the camel or elephant, I can't tell which is which, but it was seen in the E3 beyond the plateau demo, it's just that the video cut as soon as it appeared on screen. Good catch by zeltik.

Just saw the video and yeah great catch and analysis.

Also I'm not sure if this has been asked or not but do we know which regions on the world map are what yet?

Is anyone else annoyed that they've carried over sound effects for explosions, rock breaking, rupees, and opening the treasure chest for every Zelda since WW? I wish they would create new SFX already.

Not sure if this has been said here already, but just noticed that from a language comparison video:

edit 2: interesting thing to note, the localization in French implies different things from the others for the Goron (implying he's helping against a boss, saying "he's open for you" or similar), and Zelda saying "stop it" to the machine doing a red aiming at the end, as if she had control over it, unlike the English saying just "no!"

Second basically implies that Zelda fucked up in the past imo...

I dunno if it came up yet: So in the last split second of the trailer, you can see Zelda trying to stop Link (?) from pulling the Master Sword out of it's pedestal, or at least that's what I make of it - are there theories of what's going on already?

Seems to be the same scene where Zelda yells "No!" at a guardian. The guardian had a laser pointing at Link's head and was doing the beeping thing. The Master Sword is wrecked in this scene and Link looks like he can't stand up. Link and Zelda were probably both caught in a blast from a guardian and Link took most of the hit. After Zelda saves Link with her fancy magic she's probably helping Link up in this scene...?

Link looks pissed though. Also there's more of this scene at the end of the first trailer...

I really hope the game just starts like the event demos, with Link waking up.
The traditional legend opening would be dumb.

I think they've confirmed it's how the game starts. It might be a Skyward Sword like thing where if you don't press start, it'll show a trailer on the menu screen.

Link having amnesia and having to find out about the past seems to be a pretty integral part of the story so I doubt we'll get any sort of prologue.

Actually, the Goron says in french : "It/He is yours". Edit : Ok, I understand why you went with "He is open for you" as a translation, if it's indeed during a battle.

And you right, the french dub in the trailer is some times barely audible.

Are the sages going to be...summons?

Ocarina of Time wanted the sages to actually do stuff but had to ax it. Wind Waker had sages in the dungeons...but their AI was so bad you basically had to carry them through everything. -___-

I'd love to see them do more with the sages/important racial diverse supporters.

I've tested out Cemu on my gaming PC and it has no issues. I'm ready for the Wii U version of this game, undubbed, running in forced 4K.

It will probably be the first time in my memory where I will play a brand new game in emulation better than actual hardware running it. Nintendo continuing to run in place as far as hardware advances go is what makes this possible.

Ughh these last two trailers have me seriously hyped when I'm still lukewarm to the open world and nonlinear concepts and still worried about the amount of dungeon content and if shrines can fill the gaps....

I like the character designs we see here too...

A month and a half left.

Maybe there is 4 dungeons. If you looked at that cloth map from the CE, it had 4 boss like creatures in all the corners. It looked like that anyway.

They said this game has real dungeons yes?? Still haven't shown those, I hope they aren't cause there is like 2 or 3.

I think there are four main dungeons could be the "Animals" like the elephant, the bird ( the flying birdship etc..)

In the middle is Hyrule Castle with Ganon.

Also my Spanish is really bad but it sounds like Zelda says "All my training, all my preparation...it was all for nothing."

Is anyone going around translating all the translations? The other languages somehow end up being more specific. lol.

In the latin version yes, that is what she says. Curiosly the castillian version (Spain) is very different, she says "I have worked so hard to get here".

Most sentences do when we only hear part of them. I wouldn't judge it based on a fragment, when as a whole the meaning might be the same

fair enough.

do you have any evidence, hence the translation, that this is the case?

So the main dungeons could also actually be structures moving across the game (in a small area)? Neat.

yup, thats the prevailing theory due to the dungeon looking mechanical 'insides' shown in the trailer.

Curiously, we really haven't seen much with a 'classical' dungeon look.
