In EU it's Feb 8, at least that's what's written on PSN.
That certainly puts my mind at ease, because for some odd reason NA PSN still has the placeholder date of Dec, 31 2017.
Ni-Oh or For Honor, which one to get first...the problem is that I am making OTs for both but I don't think I will be able to afford both.

Have you decided on a title yet?Ni-Oh or For Honor, which one to get first...the problem is that I am making OTs for both but I don't think I will be able to afford both.
I would try to get both if I can but consider this- Buying Nioh would show support for a developer who listens and respects the feedback of the fans and have made the appropriate compromises to the game while still maintaining their vision.
For Honor's developers are awesome and passionate guys as well! They listen to feedback and sticks to their vision. It's just a goddamn shame that they're stuck with Ubisoft as a publisher who was doing fine until they made the game Online only, including the campaign.
Have you decided on a title yet?
We already came up with one in the alpha thread Ni-Oh |OT| Ni-OhGAF Praises the Rising Sun
Here's one Irish samurai that's sure to be sitting on a pot o' gold.
How does this feel compared to a Soulsborne game?
very similar but different enough not to feel like a clone. Coming from Souls games you will have an advantage at the beginning but not much. Long time Souls veterans had trouble with the game, myself included, since it is not easy at all and the mechanics are different, especially ki bursts which are absolutely essential for high level play.
I could not do the ki bursting properly. Glub!
It definitely felt a little easier to me, but still quite difficult.I like the alpha demo but it's too hard for me, how's the beta demo? did they adjust the difficulty?
They removed some annoyances some people didn't like, like Durability, difficulty is still challenging but bit more fair to be blunt, so if you found Alpha too hard Beta is definitely improved for youI like the alpha demo but it's too hard for me, how's the beta demo? did they adjust the difficulty?
Looks really interesting. Didn't get a chance to play much of the recent demo past the dojo tutorial.

Stamina management is a much bigger deal. It feels harder to run past enemies.

I hope they show the side characters this time ie notMomiji this timeJust a reminder for everyone- This Friday on the 20th Jan 22:00 JST is the final live stream for Nioh. The previous two live streams have dropped big bombs like transmog for weapons and playable character skins, so it's very likely it would be worth your while to stay to the end.
All these decade-long development games coming out now.

For Honor since it is multiplayer focused. Being Nioh will be single player the experience will more or less be the same but it's good to get into a multiplayer game early and be there as the meta is established and learn.
Buy the one you want copied more.

Nioh of course, it needs every sale it can get. For Honor is just one more franchise for Ubisoft and to be honest at least I couldn't care less for that game.Ni-Oh or For Honor, which one to get first...the problem is that I am making OTs for both but I don't think I will be able to afford both.
I've beat every Dark Souls game but I'm kind of worried about my chances of beating this. We shall see, I suppose... I'm buying it either way, but it was pretty damn hard. On the first demo, I beat the first boss but it took me a couple days to finally do it.
Nioh |OT| Prepare to Samurai
Just looking through some videos and seeing bosses have so much health. Whats up with that? Its more Dragons Dogma than Dark Souls. I prefer the faster, high risk/high reward of the later.
