I don't get how they can keep having the same issues across completely different directors and writers. Is there some figure touching all of these movies and fucking them up, or what?

Yeah no. I've watched Schmoes for a few years, Sasha genuinely wants this to be a great film and she'd be crushed if it was poor. A trusted friend/source saw it and told her it was bad. She has no logical reason to lie about this. Of course this is all hinging on the insiders movie tastes so it doesn't really matter. Sasha like Tom Dagnino before her are legit. Of course Sasha has said that Cumberbatch is a complete dick from her encounters with him and I choose not to believe it.

It really seems like WB/DC feel the need to oversee these movies like Fiege has for Marvel and that has led to too much studio meddling and too many hands attempting to be a Fiege or Kathleen Kennedy type.
They would probably be better served to let one of these movies completely stand on its own and let the creative team do what they want (within reason).

Supergirl has 7%
Catwoman has 9%
Even if it ends up terrible, Wonder Woman's spot as the Best Female Superhero Movie is basically guaranteed.
Though Captain Marvel will probably take that crown not long after.
