I like it lol, looks dumb as hell and I'm in. Not all movies can be a masterpiece like Thor: The Dark World you guys, give it a chance.

They should keep the joke moving forward.

Being said... I think this looks pretty dumb, which I don't say about movies often. I mean not that MMPR is anything great, it's so cheesy, more so now than ever, but this... I don't really like what I'm seeing at all.
... I'll probably still check it out though...
 
Got hype when they walked out in the suits and they look way better in motion. Its fine that its cheesy, MMPR had awful writing anyway.
 
I still dont understand why they decided to depart from the original suit designs so much

day motherfucking 0! love how bad it looks! plus i can just go alone eat popcorn and have fun and not have the naggy gf complaining about the sound or how its not a chick flick.

This is weirdly accurate I always caught MMPR on rerun. It makes me question even more who the actual crowd for this movie is. Would have preferred a large budget new team movie honestly. Takes out all the complaints I would have about weird choices for the adaption.
 
The "pee in the cup" gag is totally Bayformers type shit. Damn....

There are also times where they seem to be taking it too seriously, like in that spoof power rangers "dark" trailer that one dude made. That was a joke, but this isn't. LOL!
 
I like the trailer other than, it felt like I had seen the entire movie to completion and also Goldar is still a GIANT DISASTER
 
I'm in. This has potential to be fun and if they setup the green ranger story well enough it could be great.

The only thing I wish they would change is the suits a little bit to resemble the originals more. I want the white gloves and boots.
 
So Rita being the Green ranger means she turned when fighting Lord Zedd. So that's gonna be the set up for the sequel to this that will never get made.

This movie confuses me. We're in an era of movies where audiences are totally cool with Chris Pratt saving the galaxy alongside a raccoon and a sentient tree and yet we can't get a more straight adaptation of MMPR. If anything this era would be the time to pull the trigger on a straight reboot of MMPR with all of the cheese of the original series and I think audiences would be down with it

I'm honestly not sure who they're targeting, but they got me. I don't know why I'm so excited for this but damn if I wasn't smiling stupidly after watching the trailer.

I think it's partly because everyone who grew up with Power Rangers knows it was campy and bad, so a new interpretation can't "ruin" it like remakes of other properties. I'm in for dumb fun.
