Homeland Security Fail
Link.

The U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee narrowly approved President Donald Trump's choice for secretary of state, former Exxon Mobil chairman Rex Tillerson, on Monday.

The vote was 11-10, with every committee Republican backing Tillerson and every Democrat opposing his nomination.

Tillerson is expected to be confirmed for the position when the matter comes before the 100-member Senate, where Republicans hold a 52-seat majority.

Lmao Rubio

I honestly thought he'd be against the pick with all those heavy questions he threw at Tillerson. Empty threats.

Wow, that was close. History will look very badly on people who didn't go against this administration. Country before party.

My suspicion about the 90 minute meeting with Rubio involved Rubio being told his financial history and what he owes to Goldman Sachs would get revealed if he didn't fall in line. Rubio had pointed questions for Tillerson and now Rubio voted for his confirmation.

Republicans are spineless. Let's choose the guy as sos with close ties to Russia while an investigation into Russia is taking place. Jackasses.

At this point it's foolish to expect any Republicans to demonstrate a modicum of conscience or humanity, they are all willingly marching lockstep behind their Great Leader. Monsters, all of them.

And this is why I'm reminding everyone to know their enemy is the Republicans. There's no defending them. They're all traitors like the asshole in chief.

With every mistake these Republicans make, make sure they never hear the end of it from you.

Gonna be a tough fight, but never stop letting up.

Rubio is also on the committee investigating the trump russia links.

Nothing will come of that investigation even if proof is presented.

It's all over.

It's embarrassing. What was the point of all that fronting on Rubio's end? Smh.
That was probably how he really feels about Tillerson. Then they stuck him in a room for 90 ministers with Pence and other GOP members to talk about it. Dude probably still has political ambitions beyond senator so I'm not at all surprised he stuck to party line. They all will for the sake of pushing their agenda to a.l clueless trump in hopes he doesn't destroy things too much until 4 years are up. They're in for a deserved and obvious realization once the economy dips.

It's really sad that the most surprising thing about this to me is that after the way things have gone for the past few years, the Democrats didn't cave and make the vote closer to 20-1 or something.

Rubio keeps showing what a worthless spineless shadow of a man he is. And people keep expecting him to surprise them and become a decent politician? This is just like people expecting Trump to become presidential.

McCain disappoints me. He's already said he's not running for re-election, what does he have to lose here? He's been going downhill since the day he unleashed Sarah Palin on us.

You don't know that.

By your logic, if it's all over, should I kill myself?

No. Hope is not lost. Just don't place it in republicans. If it takes 4 years to get a proper investigation done then so be it. Until then we organize. There are more of us than them. Start acting like it.

Said this in another thread, but I feel like it applies here as well:

It's been very obvious for a while that Republicans have actively been working against the good of the country. Sadly, too many people are either single-issue voters and don't seem to care about anything else, or they're more than willing to get fucked because it "pisses off the libtards."

The reasons why Rubio said he can now back him is because he didn't want to cause a political controversy, really?

The fuck man.

Exactly what I keep saying.

But man, people suuuure like to push the narrative that America is over. I'm wondering when people are going to start justifying suicide at this point.

Rubio at least has the prospects of his future to think about in this decision.

Graham and McCain are old fucks on their last go around and they still can't even bother to oppose anything Trump does.
