YouTube Launches AI Age-Verification in U.S., Which Will Automatically Restrict Users Estimated to Be Under 18

If it is anything like the ads it will try to destroy the quality of service to the point you either cough up for premium, cease using it or find a work around.

I think the algorithm gave up on me, now it just tries to sing me to sleep when I leave it on autoplay.

Nah, I'm just kidding, it does make nice recommendations, it's quite good on picking up when you're feeling down etc.

This is a good move, this stuff is very powerful and most kids probably don't understand how all these things are built for engagement. I would absolutely not want kids to have accounts.

I'd be careful about sites like Reddit too, anything that's public and can be automated by suspect actors should be curbstomped. There are loads of these platforms out there.

Big challenge will be to stay a step ahead of the herds as they'll naturally try to migrate to platforms with lax controls.

I always said there should be a short verification to filter people from the purple forum trying to infiltrate GAF. A few questions would be enough to trigger and expose those individuals. ;)
All Gaf needs is a question on are you a robot; asking to spot all the pictures with more than two genders in.
