With slight variations in their movesets, that would be a very good way to bring them back. And with the gear system being what it is, there'll be lots of chances to further customize the character to how you want them to be.

God NRS have such a cash cow on their hands.

I mean Feora is literally Anti Zod in terms of fighting style.

Well yeah, of course they would be different to the old ones. No way Faora wouldn't have a knife like her MoS version, Batwoman wouldn't be tech focused etc.

MKX was missing a hell of a lot of my fave fighters and stages tbh.

I did actually I refreshed the second they were posted I got the first xbox one code off the list. So thanks for telling me : )
 
You know, been waiting all day and after all their fucks up I give up. It's normal. So of course I end up missing them out.

And so I'm kinda glad this happened because I'm, actually over this. They can fuck off, I'm not gonna waste my time anymore.

The netcode is definitely a continuation of the mkxl online beta, so good stuff. What platform are you on, Buce?

I'm on PS4. I've been playing a lot of MKXL recently so I know that the netcode will be solid but it wasn't till the beta came out that my fears were alleviated.

That's all right. Out of all the characters that I think will be playable in these beta, I only want to play Grodd, and he's not in yet. So, I'm fine with waiting for now.

The compression on youtube is really awful for this game.

Also I found a solution.

I'm gonna rewatch Batman V Superman. The disgust will push me away from this beta ordeal.
 
Standard and Ultimate Editions are finally up for pre-order on PSN UK.

Still haven't seen the UE anywhere physically, though. Really annoying.
 
Yeah I want the UE as physical... not looking likely. I'll pre-order it through the store closer to release,
 
I'm assuming Injustice 2 is purely PS4/X1 only? No PC release announced or expected?

Is there any way to get into the beta via pre-orders or is it just code begging at this point? Would like to try it on X1, should I just stalk reddit and twitter?

Boon said a PC port is "likely", that's it. I wouldn't expect it near release.

Codes are being sent out in waves if you signed up a few weeks ago. If you didn't sign up, stalking those sites is pretty much your best bet, yeah.

No PC version confirmed. There was a signup for the beta that's since closed, and even then access has been extremely limited. They've been giving away codes every now and then though.

Those ability unlocks are pretty interesting. Is it limited to augmenting supers and...I'm not sure what the terminology is for the active effects, Traits? as well? Or are there actual additional moves to unlock?
 
From what I played so far I like it alot I can see myself putting alot of time into this. I like the gear I wish more people would play with it turned off though is that even an option in the beta?

Yea, can turn on competitive mode on the screen with the stage select. Both players have to enable it though.
 
Shoutouts to NRS for updating Supergirl's win pose and making it way worse.

I swear she looks like 80 years old from this angle.
 
Yeah, they need to change her pose back. There wasn't anything wrong with the way it was before, some people just didn't like the way her face looked. The new "fix" seems lazy and it goes against the whole aesthetic concept of the Injustice 2 win poses. The slow motion "coming at you" effect doesn't make sense unless the character is actually coming at the screen.
 
Been having a lot of fun with the beta tonight. Supergirl is surprisingly easy to get into, and has some really satisfying combo potential. I was expecting her to feel like a downgraded Superman, who I often played as in the first game, but she's probably actually.. more enjoyable to play? Maybe. That could just be my excitement talking.

Overall look and energy of the game is a significant step up from the first game, but it definitely still feels like Injustice. I don't think I'm getting gear as fast as I could be since I'm getting my ass handed to me in every match and my EXP is barely moving, but with the gear I have, it's pretty awesome putting together a specific look and stat boost for your character. That being said, I can already tell I'm going to be torn between looking good or boosting well.

Also, speaking of physical copies of the game, have we heard anything about there being a CE? I'm curious to see what will be included.

I can see this game eating up my entire life, it already kind of is haha. I usually play it with gear enabled because I think it's fun but if someone chooses not to or if there is a noticeable level disparity then I offer or agree to turn competitive mode on. When you go to stage select, press square/X and L1/LB to change the game mode.

Once they add in Bane I'm never shutting the game off. I'm still not very good with Mortal Kombat inputs but I like Supergirl and Atrocitus. The gear will help keep the game fresh since it's random it'll take awhile to get a good set.

Supergirl probably is more fun to play, she looks more vibrant and versatile and Superman was/is boring as hell.

The closest thing we have to a CE is the Ultimate Edition, which just comes with a bunch of DLC and a steelbook.
