Xbox E3 Conference 6/11 2pm PST

Sunday? Maybe Sony can move their conference to an earlier time now on Monday so us Europeans don't have to stay up until 4am.
 
I think MS typically holds an event for the press like a week before E3. I know Tom Warren knew something about the Xbox one s before it was announced. I am guessing they might hold Scorpio back till the E3 reveal however and give the press time to play demo units. Hence the Sunday time frame.
 
Looking forward to the conference. I'm going in with low expectations being a safe and expected conference and I feel right now MS is pulling back for this gen. That said I wonder if Halo 6 will be shown in-engine .

I'd love Sunset Overdrive 2 but very unlikely. Crackdown 3 seems to be covering some similar ground with it's open world superheroic traversal gameplay anyway.

Nah too early, CG trailer for Halo 6 seems most likely if at all.
 
Albert, I know you're reading this... there better be downloadable 4k/HDR trailers & demos popping up to download as your conference shows them during the presentation.

Don't pull a Sony.

Shit, with that in mind, don't give us a 30-minute lecture on HDR/4k is either.
 
Why do people keep saying Fable 2 was such a great game? I thought it was a massive disappointment, and a huge step down from the original. Sure, it was bigger, much bigger, but to me it was also quite a bit more shallow from a story perspective, lacking in the type of polish that went into the first, and the gameplay struck me as dumbed down or worse.

I would imagine it would be at least 90 minutes. Because they have hardware to cover off, I expect it to be little over 90 minutes depending on how many games and features they have to show.

I agree, for me, Fable never really hit it's stride after the first game (which was great). The first game had a sense on wonder and intrigue to it, after that the subsequent game just became a joke. It didn't fill the RPG slot MS intended it to, because I think frankly MS don't really get what makes an RPG great. Hopefully Witcher 3's recent success will do something about this (not just for MS, but other publishers too).

Hard to see anyone topping Sony's last couple conferences, but I'm banking on MS maybe doing it here.

I'm ready to jump in with some new exclusives... bring me home Phil.

I don't think it's impossible they could have more done than you think, since they already have a pretty good tech foundation from Halo 5. I also doubt the engine was ever pushed to its limits by the Xbox One, so there could plenty of new territory to explore..
 
I wonder if MS will be able to keep their whole conference from leaking just like it did last year. They better release some fake info ahead of time.

I guess they will name games running full 4k and show footage of massively upgraded games which will result in many threads of speculation whether these games also run at 4k or if these is again ms being ms not telling the whole truth.

343 never announced any of their games through inengine trailers... never.
 
They should let the Halo brand rest for a while. Everyone knows the next one is coming in 2018 no matter what, so why tease it with a vague CG? To make every non diehard Halo fan yawn and go "EH OKAY MORE HALO"?

Announce it at E3 2018 when the game is basically finished and you have something really substantial and impressive to show.

MS is trying to reset the generation and start a new one, all that while not explicitly saying they're starting a new gen, so I expect everything shown will be from Scorpio. Also Scorpio won't have "One" in its official final name.

If the Xbox One remains forward compatible with "Scorpio" games (I put Scorpio in quotes because Scorpio games are just Xbox One games), it's not a new gen.

I think it's reaching to make it sound like more than it actually is.

I honestly think Fable got worse and worse with each game. The first one came out at the best time.

I'm just hoping they have interesting games to show that make me want an Xbox. I sold mine a year ago because I literally never used the thing. We need exclusives Phil!

Yes, they're still doing that. Just recently Horizon previews was shown and played from standard PS4.

I know that, Scorpio isn't a new gen in the traditional sense. But to maximize its sales potential, MS have to convince gamers that this upgrade is as good as a new gen of hardware.
