Lol he's joking. That would take up all the internal memory.
That's why I was confused! Thank you. (I edited my post with my confusion before I saw your reply.) Do we know how big it is, though?
Surely there will be room for both it and BOTW?

Just some guy indeed.I am, in fact, just some guy.
Fantastic looking UI. Also, ecstatic at the exclusion of achievements. They have directly contributed to the rise of fascism in America and I'm proud of Nintendo for taking this stand.
But most games won't do that anyway, and if they do they'll have it even if there are achievements. It's literally a choice between the meaningless achievement or nothing at all. So why wish for it to be taken away from the people who do lie it? What's the harm?
MyNintendo is achievements done right. I just find it odd that grown men need to impress other men over the Internet with trophies. Unless you're into that.
I agree, Nintendo games do have that. Are you implying they would take that away if there achievements? That's not true. Basically every Nintendo game has that.
If you've read any of my comments, you'd understand that I don't wish for something to be taken away. But I do absolutely think it's rather lazy when game designers offload "achievements" to a global notification system rather than building something into the game that adds depth through actual achievement. Something that has been a part of game design since the NES.
Looks a little plain and identity less, kinda standard modern block based menus.
It did look very snappy though, which is good.
Hopefully it's still as snappy when the console launches and the online parts are up, well the parts that are ready at launch that is.

I like the UI more than the Wii/Wii U era stuff. Felt too bubbly... although having the channel system was pretty clever.
What would you want instead? I mean, I personally don't want anything too nuts. Functionality over style, imo. I think they achieved a great balance.Looks a little plain and identity less, kinda standard modern block based menus.
Eh? You never had it on Nintendo systems.
You're arguing that Nintendo should spend money to implement something on their system, we're not arguing for it to be taken away from you just that you should chill about it not being there.

It's been standard for every piece of hardware for 2 generations even the vita and phones.
Do you have a source for that? I don't think we're getting achievements but I also can't disprove it.People realize we won't get mynintendo achivements for anything else than mobile games right?

I'm hoping there will be an option to shrink those game-tiles, a bit like on the 3DS, so once I have a few downloaded games I can have everything available on one screen without having to scroll.
whatever size the day 1 patch is, it will mostly replace data that's already being used up by the OS, it won't add much additional storage usage
No we have no indication as yet.
How much would it honestly cost to implement an achievement system? I don't bother with achievements but I'm curious.
This video is almost worthless, it looks like it was recorded on a 3ds and it just shows the stuff in portable mode?
Why not use your cellphone to record in a higher resolution then like 144p and hook it up to the dock so you can see the ui on a big screen?
Does he just work at some retail store and stole half of his preordered switch out of the backroom or something?

on Nintendo consoles?
Dude we owe this guy nothing, be thankful. This video is almost worthless, it looks like it was recorded on a 3ds and it just shows the stuff in portable mode?

Of course dude. Zelda is 13 GB. It isn't going to be more than that. That's why I was confused! Thank you. (I edited my post with my confusion before I saw your reply.) Do we know how big it is, though?

You know what I mean :/
you said it was a standard on all hardware for 2 generations when it isn't...
Baked in software like Pictochat or Streetpass, I.e. things inherit to the console at purchase. You're referencing apps, excluding the Browser mention. I get you wanted to make the joke, just saying it wasn't really relevant in regards to what I was implying. I should've made that clearer.
Everyone but Nintendo
I still hope Nintendo changes their stance on Miiverse. Come on.. I understand if they would remove it to replace it with something better.. but to take it away? Why? I don't want to post on social networks filled with politics, fake news, and other crap. I want to post in specific communities for obscure VC releases.
Of course dude. Zelda is 13 GB. It isn't going to be more than that.
This video just proves that Nintendo didn't make a video because there's nothing to see.

The video has 450k views now, wow!

I don't think there's anything unreasonable about wanting Nintendo to do something that competitors have been doing for generations now. They've never had a dedicated share button before, either, but it's something they took from a competitor that's going to be a big positive for the people who use it.that's a pretty big caveat to your statement imo
GaspHYPE AF. Glad it doesn't have shitty Wii home screen music.
Do you have a source for that? I don't think we're getting achievements but I also can't disprove it.

I can't think of a single game where the developers chose to add achievements instead of additional content and rewards.
Dark mode!
