Yeah,lower. Examples:
Mario Kart 8: 88
Super Mario Maker : 88
Doom:85
Horizon :88
But I thought Zelda and Persona would be ok.
Pretty logical that MK8 wasn't above 90. Just about every review pointed out the lack of fun with the Battle Mode.

Anything lower than a 90 for a main 3D Zelda will unleash an age of butthurt, shitposting, and the persecution of game reviewers.
BOTW MC 85
Doom at 85 is a huge wtf.
BOTW MC 85
When the hell are we getting a Direct for the online system and Virtual Console?
Not saying Wind Waker itself doesn't deserve a high score. It's just as a remaster I didn't think it could go that high. I always thought it was sitting at 85ish.
Not like it matters, but I find it hilarious people think BotW will be below a 90 lol. No 3d Zelda has ever been below 90. The lowest 3D Zelda is what? 93? 95?
Jesus, i wouldn't want to be a reviewer for BOTW...
It's not going to be below 90. Certain series get 90 and above because of their quality they've carried game after game. There's no difference with BotW from what I've seen so far. Even if reviewers grade harder it won't be below 90. Again, it's not a big deal, but I already know how much the internet will be set to fire if BotW is under 90. LolAnd? What does that have to do with the score of BoTW?
Doom at 85 is a huge wtf.
Were there new things shown off in that commercial?I predict a 95.
If the new japanese commercial ist anything to go by, I think many reviewers will be blown away by how little Nintendo has actually shown about this game.

If BOTW scores below a 90 average on opencritic, then I will sell my Switch and buy an N-Gage instead.
While the hype is quite intense everywhere I still don't trust the media to score this Zelda properly, I bet there will be lots of 7 out of 10s for all the wrong reasons. The fans will love it though and have it as their GOTY.

I'm talking about overall score. There will definitely be scores less than 90.

So other open world games are better? In what? Graphics tech? Woooo lmfaoBOTW deviates from the series formula so much that a sub 90 meta won't be surprising to me. And you just know some reviewers will make comparisons to other open world games, especially with them having just played horizon.
Doom at 85 is a huge wtf.
Thinking about ignoring all the news now except nintendo
I'm thinking that since it's open-world the media will probably put it up against Horizon, Witcher 3, Skyrim, GTA, Assassin's Creed, etc, and the complaints will be about not having enough filler content, about the visuals and that it's apparent that it's a cross-gen title being held back by WiiU, about the cinematics lacking AAA motion-capture and acting. Zelda does plenty of things better when it comes to gameplay though, which really is what's the most important, but it'll be mostly ignored.Lots of 7? No way. They will praise it to be so different from other Zelda games and give it good scores. And that will piss off a lot of people because they think the game obly gets good scores because it is Zelda and every other Open World game does everything else so much better.
The Previews in the next few days will show the direction where the reviews might head. If some have a lot of concerns you might are right but I doubt it.

I just don't get your point here, really. BoTW could be a 10, it could also be a 7. We just don't know yet. And saying it's gonna be at least a 9 because it has always been doesn't make much sense. Especially considering how different this one is compared to the older games.
I expect it to be very well-received btw.
Horizon looks amazing, like GOTY amazing. But it's not the same type of game, the media won't care about that though, they'll be compared for the visuals, filler content, acting and story rather than the gameplay, as always. And what if Zelda is better than Horizon? When the side-quests and Oberworld are way more entertaining?
I always here people say Zelda will get a lower score because of Horizon. That always sound like Horizon hast the best world ever and Zelda can't compete with it when they are compared with each other.
After seeing the reviews of Horizon I have to ask if thats really the case? The world is beautiful and has graphics a thousand times more impressive than Zelda. But it is more fun to PLAY in it? Didnt look like it this far...
How long till people with the game on their hands start dropping snippets about it? (talking about Zelda of course)

I certainly hope I'm wrong though!

Except reviewers are already praising the graphics, and they're going to judge them as portable graphics tooGiving my review estimates-- I expect to see Zelda at around an 84, with a lot of people giving it 9s/10s and a lot of people giving it 7s. Criticisms will probably center around graphics/performance, the world being seen as empty, a low number of core dungeons, and having to deal with the menu so often for certain things. People will probably praise its core gameplay, score, and systems driven mechanics. I'd love to see it score in the high 90s like other Zelda games, but I think reviewers are really rough on games nowadays.
No voice acting in subquests is a huge pro. I hate staring at faces talking for minutes when it takes me 1/4 of the time to read dialogue lines, so i end up jumping them and it's annoying to hear them stop halfway through a word. They'll complain about filler content? I think your off the mark there, as well as with complaints about cinematics. This games isn't designed to target those to a high standard, reviewers know this. They aren't going for a realistic art direction, why would they expect top tier motion capture?
I do think you are on point about VA though, we haven't seen much to judge for ourselves but I do think it will be brought up. I also think your right about some tech focused sites calling out the Wii U for holding the game back, but considering the game was supposed to come out in 2015, I'm not sure that's fair.
Zelda is a 100 MC in my heart and you guys can't change that.
Except reviewers are already praising the graphics, and they're going to judge them as portable graphics too
Except you don't know how the final version performs
Except Game Informer said in their preview they were impressed with how many things constantly happen in the world, so empty my ass
Except every fucking game has menus, and Zelda at least has quick menus to use stuff
You're just projecting the shit you read on neogaf.
lol I'm just making a guess on what other people will say. This is by far my most anticipated game of 2017 and think it looks fantastic on all fronts (graphics could be better but I'm in love with the art style and its hardware is limited so I'm cool on that) so I don't know why you're getting so defensive.
You're making a guess based on what people who barely watched anything about the game bitch about on neogaf and projecting it.
