Every new piece of info about this dude's ruined life is like a line of crack for me:

What else can he lose now? Dude's gonna fade into further irrelevancy after all this news blows over, it's great.

I almost read this post as sarcasm, because I think the opposite will happen. He'll get his own television channel or something.

Yah Maher was disappointing throughout. But the principle is the same, Maher said before the show: "what could be better than exposing him" (or something along those lines) and even though he wasn't the one to do it, I bet a lot of republicans finally saw him for what he is. The moment the dude asks "is this the face of the alt right?" must have flipped some switches in peoples heads.

No CPAC inviting him pissed off some Reaganites and unlike milquetoast liberals like Maher who say free speech! Free speech! Give him a platform these Reaganies did some digging and found the one level of disgusting beliefs that no one mainstream will chant let him speak over.

Bill Maher got out social justiced by fucking Reaganites.

I think people are just poking you at this point, B-Dubs.
If that's what they're doing, they can knock it off, cause it ain't funny, has no relevance to the actual topic (leaving Breitbart), and there are people that are trying to give Maher credit for whatever reason either way and those jokes just give those people cover.

Jesus Christ, I'm (mostly) agreeing with Rick Fuckin' Santorum. I don't know even know what to think anymore.

I don't have a problem with traditional values, Christian conservatism. While they aren't values I typically share, I can at least understand where they are coming from.

Trump and his ilk don't come from any platform of peace or love like the Bible, they instead preach hate and intolerance. Ripping on democrats and wanting complete control rather than working together is the new normal in Republican politics. They don't care about America. They care about their own agenda and making money, and fuck anyone who gets in the way.

Yep. It was actually conservatives bringing him down, not 'Muh free speech! Intolerant left! PC!' "liberals".

TBF, liberals have been complaining about him for years for all of the other disgusting things he has said that should have brought him down before this.

Maher has no relevance. It was a conservative group that found Milo's pedophile-defending comments in an old podcast because they objected to him being at CPAC. Maher did nothing other than suck Milo's balls and agree with him that transphobic nonsense is "not unreasonable." He deserves no credit, did absolutely nothing, and can completely get fucked for agreeing with Milo's transphobic nonsense.

Seriously, it's baffling that people keep trying to keep Maher credit for it. Protesters at a fuckin' university are somehow to blame for Milo "hitting it big" despite it being his exploitation of GamerGate that really caused him to take off long before that and him catering to Gaters when he really started to develop a following, but yet Maher gets credit for doing fuckin' nothing other than agreeing with transphobic nonsense and somehow a conservative group's work that has nothing at all do with Maher or care about him whatsoever is somehow Maher's doing and something he deserves credit for anyway?

Nah. He did nothing and deserves nothing and can get tossed for agreeing with Milo's bigotry.

100% agree. Maher did real damage to himself.

NO. A CONSERVATIVE GROUP took him down because they were appalled that he got invited to CPAC. Maher deserves less than 0 credit for what went down. Zero credit. He didn't nothing that resulted in this.

He did NOTHING. HE GETS NO CREDIT.

Maher created and runs the show on which he was humiliated.

So I thought the interview was pretty weak, and a bad idea all-around.. but he does get credit, in my eyes, for basically creating an environment in which Milo was shamed.

I suspect i'm not gonna convince axe-grinding people though, that's ok ;)

Yeah, I'll bet a lot of Republicans were watching Bill Maher and had a come to Jesus moment because of him.

He was neither humiliated nor shamed on that show. The only one who came out looking like an asshole was Maher. Milo's disinivitation from CPAC, book deal cancellation, Breitbart firing and general life collapse has fucking ZERO to do with anything Maher said or did. Nobody at CPAC is taking their cues on anything from Bill Maher.

He was humiliated because it came out that he defending pedophila, you notice no one involved with Milo refrenced what happened on Maher and only the video with his remarks.

Maher did nothing but look like a sycophantic fool.

It reads like poetry.

He was so humiliated that the headline from the NYT read Bill Maher and Milo Find Common Ground

Not at all. It was the pedophile-defending comments that caused things to take off, which were found by a group of Reaganites opposed to his planned appearance at CPAC. You think a group of conservatives even give a fuck about Maher's show or what does or doesn't happen on it? They were doing this shit on their own, regardless. Maher has nothing at all to do with anything.

It was Milo being invited to CPAC that created the "environment" and a conservative group that dealt the damaging blow by finding the pedophile-defending comments on an old comment. Maher has nothing to do with that, in any way. He did nothing, and deserves credit for nothing.

He didn't create anything and I'm not axe grinding. Milo got taken down by goddamn Reaganites! You think they gave a fuck about Maher? They cared about the CPAC invite.

So Bill Maher agreed with and had a bromance with a guy who is too crazy even for republicans.

Any liberals still think Maher is a good guy?

Fuck Milo. Fuck Bill Maher. Fuck Sam Harris too while we are at it.

Fuck Sam Harris? He's been a vehement critic of Trump and his supporters. He argues using nuance and reason. He's exactly the kind of level-headed person the left needs to listen to right now, even if you find that some of his arguments make you uncomfortable. I'm guessing your main issue with him is his strident criticism of religion, and particularly Islam, which somehow got him labeled a racist (thanks Ben Affleck). Or maybe it's because he has been increasingly critical of the left for going overboard with identity politics and outrage culture? Left-GAF has been freaking me out ever since Trump won. I'm becoming increasingly aware that many of you support the use of violence against speech, as was the case with the Berkeley incident. Absolutely nothing good will come of that. We (the left) need to pull our shit together before we lose the 2018 and 2020 elections. That starts with taking a hard look at ourselves.

Also, Sam's latest podcast episode was great:

Waking Up with Sam Harris #65 — We're All Cucks Now (with David Frum)

He also fellated Milo while Nance and Wilmore were the only ones challenging Milo but whatever

If there's one thing conservatives and liberals agree on, it's the disgusting nature of pedophilia and pedophilia apologists. They have no place in society

How else can he stay here if he's only on a work visa?

I wonder if his "Dangerous Faggot Tour" counts as work or if that too was sponsored by Brietbart. I have no idea. If Brietbart owns that tour, then he wont be able to tour anymore which should force him back to England

Milo was pretty smart to say nice things about pedos because i would assume that theres a lot of overlap between them and gamer gaters. He says shit just as crazy on his podcast too, so I'm sure someone can dig up some interesting stuff if they wanted to waste time slogging through all that cow shit he calls ideas

I hope more bad things happen to him, and also to his followers

He wasn't humiliated by Maher. If anything it was Larry Wilmore that did most of the work, Maher ended up AGREEING with him on most points. And if anything, that's because Milo made his argument more left-friendly and appealed to Maher's ego by bringing up his dislike of Muslims (in actually Maher hates all religion, but yes his arguments against Islam are worrying). Arguably the only good jab that Maher got in is if Milo is such a stickler for free speech and open debate, then why is he a Trump supporter.

Really? You try to defend the man by associating him with the identity politics and outrage culture boogeyman fight?

Not the best line if argumentation given the context of this thread

Honestly, "identity politics" is a bullshit phrase that anyone who associates themselves with being left or progressive should be embarrassed of saying.

I would personally be more concerned with popular self-proclaimed liberal icons like Bill Maher self-righteously embracing bigotry against the trans community in front of millions on TV than anything Left GAF has done.

No keep that cunt away from here. We took back Piers Morgan man.

Being against "Identity politics" is a way for white guys to disregard women, gay, and minority rights

lmao.

People saying "Well he won't literally be gone forever like he never existed" of course his career will continue, but it's the end of his big ambitions to become a major mainstream name making tons of money. He's relegated to a minor league for good.

Therefor he should join Glen Beck's network TheBlaze next?
