No major publisher is likely to touch him, but sure, he'll find someone to publish it, and he'll get less money, the book will get less publicity, and it will have a smaller reach than if it had come out from a major publisher.

Question is, will Amazon even let him host an e-book version at this point?

Hmm....

hey The Martian was an Amazon Single and it got optioned

we must be vigilant

well, Americans must be. I can't do much up here in my igloo

edit - haha marrec you beat me to it

They let Vox Day, so probably. I wouldn't be surprised if he wound up on Vox Day's label, although Vox is not a huge fan of homosexuals. He'd probably enjoy the liberal agita enough to make up for that, though.

Edit: Vox has already said he'll publish if Milo wants.

Not Maher directly, but the overtime panel made him look like a complete joke. Thanks Maher for giving him the opportunity to look like a fool tho.

Maher sucked his balls on the show proper, he deserves no credit for what Larry did.

"I empower victims by victimizing them further, fuck you guys for not getting that."

That is cycle of violence. Abusers were typically victims themselves. The only way to break the cycle is not allow victims to normalize their abuse. Which is exactly what Milo attempted to do.

Vox enjoys money more than he enjoys principled moral stands.

But I wonder since this is such a high profile one off, if Amazon distances themselves. It does seem unlikely.

bless up

Thanks Bill Maher

My thoughts exactly

dude didn't even cause this a little bit; if anything, his usual fuckery was looking to make it worse. throw that dude in the bushes where he belongs.

So Bill Maher agreed with and had a bromance with a guy who is too crazy even for republicans.

Any liberals still think Maher is a good guy?

Fuck Milo. Fuck Bill Maher. Fuck Sam Harris too while we are at it.

strong co-sign here

His book is still coming out. He'll still get speaking engagements. If he started a Patreon/podcast tomorrow he would probably rake in 50K per month. Larger interests will bankroll him anyway though.

I'm not sure why people insist that he's ruined, or "over". This is basically a convenient excuse for him to quit his day job.

His book will have a smaller reach, he'll likely not be as easily invited to college campuses, he no longer as a national media platform.

He actually already has a podcast.

It's not about him going broke (he's basically a cult leader that was never going to happen) but keeping him from mainstream appeal. He's basically a more popular Sargon of Akaad now

Milo will be always scurrying around the ends of society feeding off trash. But just like Pewdiepie he is done in the mainstream, where the real money and fame comes from. No more invitations from tv shows or high ranking podcasts.

That will hurt him more than Pewdiepie. Cause his schtick is being shocking, how you going to get paid with no audience?

What you said

Yeah, he "resigned", totally of his own volition.
I don't fundamentally have a problem with people "resigning" to attempt to save face a bit (I have!) but it contains self awareness that you dun messed up enough to lose your job for one reason or another, or at minimum that you pissed off the wrong people. Absolutely cannot stand people who claim it as an excuse to try to say they're being repressed or something.

He can bullshit as much as he wants, but, regardless, he still had to leave his job because of an apparent affinity for talking casual about pedophilia. You can't change that, and he should be hounded for it the rest of his days.

Fuck that Troll and human trash Milo. He's a mean piece of shit that doesn't give 2 shits about hurting people, so why should anyone give 2 shits he got himself into trouble. I'm glad to see his ass fired. But a part of me tells me he will land on his feet and find another gig, he's too popular with other horrible human beings for there not to be a market.

Yah Maher was disappointing throughout. But the principle is the same, Maher said before the show: "what could be better than exposing him" (or something along those lines) and even though he wasn't the one to do it, I bet a lot of republicans finally saw him for what he is. The moment the dude asks "is this the face of the alt right?" must have flipped some switches in peoples heads.

Thanks Bill Maher

I do wonder if his appearance on the show got some people to dig around a little extra... We'll never know, to be fair.

No Maher did nothing. Maher is Neville Chamberlain, he didn't challenge Milo; he found common ground and expressed an almost admiration for the man.

It was CPAC giving him a platform and a conservative group doing actual research in an attempt to bo platform him that caused this

What we also learned is that Breitbart does have a moral line they won't cross, what's disappointing is that it has to come to pedophilia before they tell someone they've gone too far.

Someone asked a while back what would it take for Trump's base to turn against him. Well, this might be one thing.

NO. A CONSERVATIVE GROUP took him down because they were appalled that he got invited to CPAC. Maher deserves less than 0 credit for what went down. Zero credit. He didn't nothing that resulted in this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TE1wN1UMhuo Don Lemon discusses the incident with Milo with Jennifer Granholm (former governor of MI) and Rick Santorum on CNN.

Good on Santorum for also ripping Milo (although did he need to throw libertarians under the bus too?)

Jesus Christ, I'm (mostly) agreeing with Rick Fuckin' Santorum. I don't know even know what to think anymore.

"Publicity parasite" is a perfect term for Milo though, so credit to Granholm for that one.

Great fucking news!
Thanks Bill Maher!
Maher has no relevance. It was a conservative group that found Milo's pedophile-defending comments in an old podcast because they objected to him being at CPAC. Maher did nothing other than suck Milo's balls and agree with him that transphobic nonsense is "not unreasonable." He deserves no credit, did absolutely nothing, and can completely get fucked for agreeing with Milo's transphobic nonsense.

Seriously, it's baffling that people keep trying to keep Maher credit for it. Protesters at a fuckin' university are somehow to blame for Milo "hitting it big" despite it being his exploitation of GamerGate that really caused him to take off long before that and him catering to Gaters when he really started to develop a following, but yet Maher gets credit for doing fuckin' nothing other than agreeing with transphobic nonsense and somehow a conservative group's work that has nothing at all do with Maher or care about him whatsoever is somehow Maher's doing and something he deserves credit for anyway?

Nah. He did nothing and deserves nothing and can get tossed for agreeing with Milo's bigotry.
