Any reviewers out there doing drop tests? 👀👀👀
That's not really noteworthy. Odds are the serial numbers or some equivalent include a digit that flags the color. i.e. if it ends in "0" it's gray, if it ends in "1" it's neon (probably slightly more "encoded" than that, to support more colors going forward and whatnot). So no actual differences.Because the switch knows which color controller you are using tells me that something, even something tiny, is different in terms of hardware.
Oh ok thank you. Thought it was gameplay

Can they not do tear downs yet?
Same but I have way more than you on steam.
The exclusives are there. I was just trying to understand your thought process of why you would not get a ps4, but a switch which is the lesser of the two.

The exclusives are there definitely there on the PS4. killers games that can't be found on the pc. . I was just trying to understand your thought process of why you would not get a ps4, but a switch which is the lesser of the two.
This is also why I am getting a switch. I refuse to get a Xbox One or a Ps4 with their long load times and slow OS with unoptimized games. I have a very beefy PC and only really care about Nintendo games outside of that.Same but I have way more than you on steam.

Has it been confirmed anywhere if you can use headphones, earbuds with the console docked?
Like, can I plug into the 3.5mm jack while docked or the controller (like PS4) to receive audio? I play on a monitor so...

No, the controller doesn't have a jack.Has it been confirmed anywhere if you can use headphones, earbuds with the console docked?

Yes, the included AC adapter can function as the power supply for the dock, or a charger for the Switch itself. You can plug the USB Type-C connector directly into the bottom of the system.
there is nothing rational about this Donnie!Flow its not that hard to get lol. Go back to comics, you're drunk!
Reading Totilo's write-up; it looks like there are MyNintendo Tie-Ins for these games? He didn't discuss it, but I noticed it on the left side of this screen shot.

The ability to share software updates via local wireless seems incredibly smart and handy too. Let's say I wanna do some local multiplayer Splatoon 2 with a friend, but I'm on the latest version and he isn't, we don't have to hunt down a router, I can just send him the patch. At least, that's what that feature sounds like it would be to me.
I really hope people aren't so misinformed that they would pay $300 expecting them to be there at launch.

then why don't you have a PS4 with some great games that would cost you the same if less than the switch? Based on your own words, buying a Switch makes no sense.
or is your zelda love that strong.
Koizumi said you can use Bluetooth headsets for the switch, but I'm wondering if that's a day one thing. So there's 0 Bluetooth settings?
General public will buy it to play Mario and Splatoon and eventually Animal Crossing. It's not paying $300 and being misinformed, it's that I think most people will say I pay $300 for this tablet and it can't even do Youtube? No Netflix? Where's the web browser? What the hell? This was $300 and it doesn't have these things?
I think that's what the general public will think.
^ Thanks all, pretty big deal for me. If I can plug headphones into the docked console that's good enough.
sooo, people get their achievements? I mean, my.nintendo rewards are kind of achievements.

You mean, like with a long-ass wire running through your living room?
You might as well just plug the headphones into the TV at that point, what's the use?

Some TVs don't have headphone jacks. The popular Samsung KS8000, for example, doesn't.

To have sound on the Switch using a headset, it will absolutely have to go through the wired.
Remember a few days ago we did an interview with Koizumi about the Switch's audio and video, in which we said it was possible to connect a Bluetooth headset to the Nintendo Switch. Simplicity of translation or even misunderstanding on our part, Nintendo has come back on this subject to inform us that finally, it will be impossible to connect headsets using Bluetooth

First adapters have always been beta testers to an extent.
Pretty hilarious how bare bones this thing is at launch though. 100% rushed to the market, no doubt about it. We will see if it matters.
I honestly don't understand this obsession with the Activity Log.
Not at that price they won't.General public will buy it to play Mario and Splatoon and eventually Animal Crossing.
Time will tell. Not at that price they won't.

Haha me neither. People are odd.
I imagine other review sites doing the same thing.Good thing kotaku have reached out to Nintendo about the synchronise problems. Hope they get a response.
No greater example than being a Wii U day 1 buyer, I still can't get over that shit. Pretty much killed most of my respect for Nintendo after what I was greeted to on launch day with the UI cluster fuck and day 1 update taking days to download

I play games on a monitor, so maybe that's what they do too.You mean, like with a long-ass wire running through your living room?
