That's not it. Using my home address the shipping date is the launch date. So it must be something with the Packstation itself.
I hope that means that everything will arrive on the 3rd.
No. The only way to force Amazon to use DHL is the Packstation.

God, that would be horrible, our Hermes guy always come between 9 and 9:30 PM.
((I hope it´s DHL or Amazon Logistics, they always come between 10 and 12 AM.
Also, is the Expansion Pass already up on Amazon.de?

Simpel solution, Timo: Register with DHL to send anything to a DHL shop and then ship anything to their adress. It's always DHL and you can always pick it up on the day of deliver and don't have to rely on their stupid couriers or your neighbours. maybe that's the difference. Maybe DHL is literally swamped with deliveries so they can't fulfil the order in time?

I'm just messing with you, never used a Packstation in my life.
The game is mostly FMV and just some tutorial texts. I strongly believe it's multi-language. Even Zelda is. You can change the game's language by changing your console language settings.

Well actually, this does seem to be the case. According to Amazon Chat, DHL was so overwhelmed by the Switch pre-orders that they had to split buyers into two groups. One group for launch and the other group later. Damn.

Same same. I could not bring myself to cancel my Switch but I definitely won't be buying any extra hardware stuff before we have some sort of assurance there won't be any sort of necessary revisions to joycons in the near future.

Ironically enough, not having Prime is likely why they'll ship yours early. DHL and Hermes guarantee that priority packages will be delivered on the next day, so that it wouldn't make sense to ship orders with "Premiumversand" earlier than Thursday. Normal packages can theoretically take longer than a day to arrive, but of course doesn't happen 99% of the time.

Whatever I pre-order to be delivered to the Packstation is late. I tried that with 1-2-Switch.
The Amazon Chat says (no idea if the guy knew what he was talking about or he was just speculation) that apparently DHL had to split the launch pre-orders. So one scenario here is that the Packstation will be so full on the 3rd. that they delay pre-orders that are to be delivered there. It makes sense since I can pre-order 1-2-Switch to my home for launch day just fine.

Issues with Packstationen are kinda common though. In that case, they simply let you pick up your delivery at the next post office or post service center. There wouldn't be any delay because of a full Packstation.

meh, they could certainly 'deal' with it, but maybe it's not worth paying their drivers that much overtime, sending out more delivery cars, just to cover this ONE peak, who knows.
Right. That's why it doesn't make much sense. Too bad one can't pickup an order at a post service center the same day, not even on the weekend.

Just got "Versandbestätigung" for my joycons and Zelda @ Saturn (in store pickup) not for my switch though :-(
I pre-ordered my Switch on Amazon, but I wanted to get Zelda from retail. Well. Our GameStop doesn't give out copies to non-pre-orders and our Media Markt doesn't know how large their BOTW shipment will be. They only know that they have 11 copies reserved for, I quote "something with Zelda". So it probably counts Wii U pre-orders, too.
At least the GameStop guy told me it was a damn smart move to have a console pre-order placed, regardless of shop, because our GS is completely booked since Jan. 15th. He told me that the pre-order-hype for this thing has been more extreme at their store than PS4.

You cannot pick it up on a Saturday anymore? But yeah, it's pretty annoying altogether. In Sweden, you can just pick it up at a supermarket.
It shouldn't even be a that big peak. Amazon isn't even getting the biggest launch allocation in Germany (MediaSaturn have the largest stock). DHL will not have trouble sending out 10000 boxes more a day.
I want to buy a Switch no earlier than end of March / April. How are the chances of getting a console from Amazon, Media Markt or Saturn then? I've never bought a console near launch, so I don't know if I have to expect a drought for a few months after release day. Especially considering it's Nintendo. Maybe someone can share their experiences with other console launches.

Im ordering to a Hermes paketshop though as i thought i wouldnt be home.
