they say "wait for the mail" but you can always try. go to the information point and ask really nice. like..be super polite lol.

YMMV by store unfortunately. I had to creep around a Media Markt for half a day once, knowing my order was already there, but they wouldn't hand it to me without finishing whatever stocking process they go through on their part.
But there's another store where I usually order limited editions to, and by now the guy at the counter there knows me well enough to just hand me my order when I drop by to check.
Right "after the store opens" won't work probably if that's the day the console arrives at the store in the first place and they haven't even sent any confirmation to you yet.

Mine is still shipping on 2nd and I prepare for absoulte disappointment as DHL can't even ship withing 2 days most of the time even though an Amazon Warenlager and a DHL Verteilerzentrum are within a 50km radius of my flat.
Yes, I hope it will get to DHL today and not rot in a truck till tomorrow and arrive on friday.
