Call me just curious and maybe a bit ignorant, but why would a senator from Alabama be talking and meeting with a Russian ambassador anyway?
I suppose it's probable they met before and were on friendly terms, but I don't know if I would by that.
Unfortunately I'm sure there's some sort of technicality we're not seeing that might keep this from taking out everyone like it should. But at least Sessions is not getting out of this.
What I want to know is, people like this calling for his resignation, do they have additional proof that we the public don't have, or are they coming to this conclusion based on the news reporting, and nothing more?

Hoisted upon his own bootstraps.Lock him up!
Evan Perez just said it on CNN, so I suppose I can here: Kislyak wasn't just ambassador, he was Russia's "top spy recruiter" in D.C.: SVR.

McCain and CNN have something in common there.McCain won't do a damn thing. Trump has been dissing him over and over and McCain just comes crawling back and asks for more.

Trump used Sand Attack!
IC evaded the attack!
Trump would shrug it off as an impostor, etc.

He was on the committee of Armed Services which deals with foreign dignitaries. Hes hilariously trying to split himself from the role as Trump advisor and his role in that committee. Its a conflict of interest all over the place.

Cheers, thanks for pointing that section out. It's touched on in the article.
I probably should have phrased it more like this: If Sessions had admitted to speaking with the Russian ambassador during the hearings, and if there wasn't already Russian connections with the Trump campaign, would anything have been out of the ordinary? But the snippet from the article Killthee pointed out clarified my confusion on the matter!I think you're missing the forest for the trees. It doesn't matter if he met with foreign ambassadors or whatever.
He lied under oath. That's perjury.
What does it matter? Are they going to do anything? Can they prove it?
If Obama and his apointees did half this shit they would have all been in jail a long time ago.
Imagine if Sessions refuses to recuse himself.
I mean... there is no possible outcome that ends well for Trump.
Would certainly turn the heat up on the whole administration. Like Flynn this a rock and a hard llace situation. Question is, does he simply recuse himself? Or do Dems grow a backbone and ATTACK.
Fuck resignation. Get this guy for perjury. Get him like he'd get any black person who had even been accused of perjury. Also he and his staff already admitted it and just tried to make excuses for it, so you don't have to hunt for the smoking gun or anything.
Am I being naive or realistic when I feel like this won't end in anything that truly hurts Trump?
I just feel like it's been one thing after another. Over and over again. And every possibly thing that happens that makes me think, "This is it," never actually is.
