Try contacting amazon support and see if they can fix the situation.

when I went to set up the ticket it reupdated it to coming this monday which is perfect. Still playing Horizon and will have more than enough to do until then.

See y'all when I get the game :)

Honestly I might get it for Wii U as well just for the sweet disc art.

And, well, because I got TP for both Wii and Gamecube. TRADITION.

Credits are rolling.

What. A. Game. What a game!

They really stuck the landing with this one. I'll say no more.

See you all in the spoiler thread in a week or so. I'll answer questions here for people who get stuck. I can already imagine the same three questions coming up again and again.

What a game.

I regret getting my Switch and BotW delivered to work. I already know I am only staying for as long as it takes to charge it to 100%.

At least I can start playing on the bus ride home.

What are the questions?

Can't say anything about SS.

TP playing the main campaign take me about 28 hours (on three occasions). And I'm not the best puzzle solver. I don't see how it could take that long.

I can absolutely finish TP in under 30 hours on a subsequent playthrough without doing much optional content, yes.

Basically three puzzles I imagine people getting stuck at time and again. Three places I got stuck, and I've noticed people asking them elsewhere. I had to figure them out myself but I'm happy to help :)

How many Shrines and Koroks seeds have you done?

How many Shrines and Koroks seeds have you done?

So far?
40
shrines and
38
Korok seeds. Final play time
33 hours 28 minutes.

How persistent is the world?

If I cut a tree down and fst travel away will the tree stay cut?

It's not persistent at all, really. Enemies will stay dead for quite some time, seeds and fruit will stay picked, but everything will eventually come back.

Can anyone help me with the myahm agana shrine. Need some tips.
its the one in hateno village with motion controls
its driving me nuts.

Hey Griss I don't expect
you to go into detail but how was the end game stuff? Would you say the final boss is satisfying?

It's crazy how much more I did in BotW than TP or SS and yet I beat it in significantly less time.

That's the magic of a total absence of busywork.

And yeah, those are 40 hours games minimum iirc.

You planning on doing any more shrines and puzzles? Can you continue to play your save file after finishing the main story?

Try Flipping the Table. The Ball also bounces so you can literally beat it into the goal if you so desire.

These sorts of snafu puzzles are quite cruel in general, even in real life they're not particularly kind, much less in a videogame.

Best Zelda game ever?

i know reviewers are saying the dungeons are different and I'd like to avoid spoilers but did you like them, and were the changes welcome? By that I mean how the dungeons worked and how there were presented within the context of the overarching story.

Ill give it a go also how do i get to the chest?

The guardian with the laser you first come across makes me feel like I'm missing something about mobility. Jumping and running doesn't seem to do a damn bit of good, is there some button combo that gives you a roll away or something?

Satisfying? It's incredible. Phenomenal. The game wouldn't have gotten the reviews it did if they didn't nail the ending.

I don't know... I'm kinda addicted to the game, yet I want to wait and pick up a Switch (or see if I do) before 100%-ing it, or I'll have to do it all again, you know?

As for your second question, that's a spoiler, so...
You go back to your last save before Ganon, but your save file now has a star on it to denote that you beat the game.

I have a question someone can hopefully answer in a non spoilery manner.

How is the story? Every preview I have ready has only talked about the game play, and since the game is so open you can technically skip most of it. Is it obvious where the main story path is, and is the story any good?

Well, the Gamestop up the street from me tricked me into switching my preorder from Best Buy. Not doing a midnight release like they said. Been planning on this night for a while. Took tomorrow off work. Shit. I'm bummed.

Have fun, everyone else.

Does the game stay challenging all the way through?

Go stealth and avoid them. That is all i have been doing.

If you lock on to an enemy with ZL press either across or back to dodge/backflip

Just got my Wii U copy.

Installing update.

Longest 15 minutes of my life.
Can you confirm the update is indeed a patch from the internet and not just an extra install pack from the disk like some are saying?

Spoilers as to quality of the narrative only, not as to what happens:
It has the weakest story of any 3D Zelda. It's just not the focus of the game. Like the original LoZ, it boils down to 'Kill Ganon, save princess.' And along the way you visit all four corners of the world. But there's nothing moving or memorable about it, unlike past Zeldas where each had some really special moment. Here, it's 'Go kill ganon my dude.'

Does the game stay challenging all the way through?

100% absolutely.

The one exception is that as you build up food reserves you can cheese the game, but even then you'll still be getting one or two-shot out of nowhere from time to time. Don't cheese food and you have a perfectly balanced game.

Want a tip for the early immobile Guardians?

Strafing at the right time and a well timed parry 😉

Thanks for the responses, Griss! You must really like the game to double dip on the Switch version.

I didn't quote your post, because I sure as hell aint reading that spoiler lol

How were the side quests? Were they comparable to MM in terms of story and were they fun to complete?

Let me be clear - the side characters (think Darunia and Ruto from OoT to know what I mean) are great, and people will love them. So there's that.

Side quests themselves are typically not much different from standard open-world side quests, but the writing absolutely has that class Zelda NPC-charm to it. When you're in a village talking to people or getting quests it 100% feels like past classic 3d Zeldas - in fact it's pretty much the only time the game does. Nothing as involved as MM at all though - side quests were the raison d'etre of that game, after all.
