Hey-hey. Yeah, finished up my work project so I can finally relax a little and get back to sketching more. So nice not to have to spend every baby nap moment grinding excel files.

And yay for the portrait thread. Always a good addition to the day, right? Like the duo portrait you did. The way you handled the light was cool and think you nailed them. Don't mind the GF's take on it. We're (women) just more self-conscious when the deeper lines get highlighted. ^_^

Hey-hey. Yeah, finished up my work project so I can finally relax a little and get back to sketching more. So nice not to have to spend every baby nap moment grinding excel files.

Thanks, you've made me feel a bit better. No one likes their flaws pointed out, so I can understand. btw, I like the little squiggles you drew on his thumbs. I'm not sure if that's something you always do, but I guess it stood out with his hands like that, haha. Hopefully you can get a few more sketches in between baby naps! I know how it is. My son is 9, and I was helping him draw some Pokemon and Hollow Knight characters the other night. You'll be doing the same sooner than you think!

Yup, me too. I think I've only made it this far by switching it up between different things and media I've wanted to focus on. Mostly Lifedrawing, portraits, mechanical/vehicles, etc. Maybe try some different subjects, styles or media to keep it fresh?

I had to do the opposite recently (do quite a bit of line work instead of working from painted shapes). Line work is good so that you can have a good foundation to your image.

So here is a something!! I was thinking of a very old character (last seriously drawn in 2004ish?) so decided to have another go at her. She's a defunct seraph who now has to live in another host body.
