I'm stuck on the second mission, finding all the first three shrines, I've got two left and can't find them. Am I supposed to go up the cold mountain to find one?

yes,the two other shrines are on high altitude.

also, you should have followed the old men hint and check the surroundings from the top of the tower, you would have noticed them immediately

I can't tell if I'm doing some of these shrines completely wrong or what. I just wasted like 6 weapons trying to get balls into holes by using stasis to launch them into the cages. Now I need more weapons to continue attempting this. >_>

Honestly not sure how I feel about the low weapon durability. It's nice having a huge variety of stuff but at the same time you're cycling constantly through different weapons which makes it a little annoying.

My biggest complain so far is that you can't throw weapons away via the fast switch menu. It would make things so much easier and less frustrating, that whole menu management is really hurting the flow of the gameplay.

This game is incredible. I was at a farm seeing if I could pet a dog (no) but I pulled out some steak and it rolled over so it got some food instead.

Then I went for a photo as it sat next to me, but accidentally threw my sword, which arced over and stabbed my horse and that fled and oh god D:

I reloaded.

hi I'd like to sell you a bed for the night and I promise it's not weird that I'm going to watch you sleep

So what do you do about the cold weather?

carry a torch, eat spicy food, or wear something warmer

At first i thought that was paya until i read the name lol

I'm a couple hours in now, still putzing around in the Great Plateau. I have to say, I'm not that impressed by it so far. Like, the spectacle of it is the part that I find impressive; playing it in handheld mode it's sort of crazy that such a game is playable on your hands.

Mmmh, maybe you need some sense of danger, meeting the mini boss (there is kinda one per zone so far I know) or mini guardians should help you feel thrilled a little bit. Or maybe playing like an assassin sneaking behind the back of enemies is more your stuff.

About the board, remember this, you need to headshot if you want to oneshoot it, whatver is for animal or enemies.

I hope you will have some fun.

This game is ridiculous so far. I cannot imagine what Nintendo would be able to do if they had cutting edge hardware at their disposal. Don't get me wrong, I think so far the game looks phenomenal and plays beautifully, but imagine. Great OT as well. Not going to read more so it doesn't get spoiled. But great to see Zelda back like this.

Regarding the motion control shrine in Hateno village

Did anyone else just turn the gamepad upside down to roll the ball on a flat surface instead of through the maze?

Anyways done playing for the night.

And they glow bright orange, hard to miss. Put a pin on it, profit! They turn blue when you complete it.

Yeah, I'm seeing a lot of shrines off the great plateau, I'm having a hard time locating ones that I can actually reach... I think I'll just call it a night and give it another try tomorrow.

I'd imagine they'd do everything this game is doing right now...but prettier

Yes, I can thank andre from gamexplain for that.

Run, eat food that helps warm your body, find fires 🔥 and carry a flaming stick.

Cook some meat with spicy pepper and Link won't freeze his ass to death for 3 minutes.

2 solutions

- get gear that protects from cold

- use potions or food that increase your resistance to cold, but with a timer.

Cook 5 chili peppers and eat them.
Cold resistance for 12 minutes 30 seconds.

Cook less and the number decreases. So 4 chili peppers = 10 minutes 30 seconds.
Cool thanks! Next stupid question, how do you cool :P The old dude mention it but I dont remember what. I assumed it was sitting by a fire but that only let me past time.

Silly question, but where can I find the main tunic?

I also stupidly missed out on the warm sweater...

there's a clothes shop at kakariko village, other than hat,the only clothin item i found "in the wild" is a bandana that helps climbing.

Here I am just standing still and listening to the sound and music of the Temple of Time for the past 7-8 mins or so. I feel like I'll be doing this a lot.

Just played for a good 10 hours straight.

j e s u s c h r i s t

This game is incredible so far. Hitting all the right notes for me so far.

Finally got to play it for myself. I've avoided spoilers, but saw the teeehouse videos.

I think I'm going to grab one of the guides. Yeah, it's fun to explore by myself, but the completionist in me is pissed that I'm missing so much as well! I'd ideally like to play through the story and get as much done by myself first then check out the guide later to see what I've missed.

The game is INCREDIBLE: playing on the WiiU though the frame rate drops are honestly completely unacceptable at points. Minor gripe though considering just how incredible everything else is. I was struck dumb for a second at how beautiful it is in person. The constant sense of danger and of tension woth regards to inventory management is so addictive as well.

It's so overwhelming just how many things there are TO DO. Like five hours in right now, and I feel like I've done nothing really to scratch a dent. I guess that's why I'm hyperventilating o get a guide. There's so much to do, so much to explore and I want to get to it all.

It's just stunning.

Yep I did the same thing for that shrine.

As an aside, is there a way to know if you got all the chests in a shrine?

- find a fire with a pot over it (fire only doesn't work)
- go to the item menu and select the ingredients by selecting them and choosing "get out" (or at least i think it's called like that in english,my game is in italian), you can choose up to 5 ingredients-
- exit the menu with b and now instead of the option to rest at the ire you should have the option to cook the ingredients together

Constantly can't pick up stuff because my inventory is full, then when I could actually use the weapon/item, I'm nowhere near the spot and I can't find it anywhere. I'm hoping an option to expand inventory appears sooner rather than later.

Yes,
you will love and hate to search for Korok seed in the wild :)

Quick question. Looked at the guide and a lot of the items (mainly the various green tunics and fierce deity outfit) are unlocked by corresponding amiibos and yet they have a price. Does that mean Nintendo locked them behind a paywall (basically!) and there's no way to earn the various outfits?
Also concerned about some of the swords (goddess sword for example) being unlocked by corresponding amiibo. It's somewhat upsetting.

Playing this back to back with Tropical Freeze (lttp) right now has been pure Nintendo bliss.

I'm sad about the fact I won't be able to play Mario Odyssey this year though. Nintendo abandoning my country certainly hasn't helped with console and game prices.

in all my playtime, ive found 3, 2 of them I only knew of because of the e3 treehouse the 3rd
was at the very top of purah's lab, ontop of the broken down guardian

I just moved the joycon around like a maniac and suddenly it worked lol.

Does the orange orb in one of the early shrines serve a purpose? The one bouncing between the bumper things.

You might want to double check your source, I never heard of that and I don't think Gaf will have let it slide.

This game is a mix of amazing (exploration, puzzles, style) and boring, annoying crap (weapon durability and constant swapping, crafting).

Do you ever get permanent weapons/shields/bows?

Don't believe so. I actually messed with it and brought it to the end but it didn't do anything, must just be there as a visual tutorial.

So ive way past the platuea but one of the shrines that gives you the power to move metallic objects has a chest thats way high up on the wall, I kinda figured its something you'd have to come back and get but im thinking maybe there really was a way to get it, did anybody get it?
