I love how adaptable the enemies in this game are. Was fighting a moblin and he picked up my shield I dropped earlier and used it against me. Its a little thing that goes a long way to make enemy encounters more interesting.
I mean really, it's as if Nintendo doesn't have any beta or hell, alpha testers in this case. It's such an obvious thing to add.One thing the game needs is an option to replace an item in your full inventory with an item you get from a chest.
Just a
"Your inventory is full. Drop an item?"
Would do it.
I'm right there with you. I'm about five hours in and the game hasn't quite grabbed me yet. As I learn more of the tools available to me and figure things out more I'm hoping it will entrance me.Question, does Zelda pick up majorly after the first hour or two? Played an hour or two last night and found myself, very underwhelmed. Hate to make this comparison because it's already overwrought, but perhaps it's just because I'm playing Horizon right now as well and the pacing in that seems a little more high octane? Obviously both games have a different focus but it's hard not to draw some basic comparisons. I know Zelda is far more systems focused from what I've heard on here and seen in previews.
Not trying to troll, just curious if anyone else is running into the same feeling or if it's just the first hour or two that's slow.
Perhaps I should put Zelda down for now until I beat horizon?
I wonder how difficult it would be for them to offer some type of context sensitive options when you highlight an item via the dpad. Basically as you move between the various weapons, pressing something like A or B to drop.I mean really, it's as if Nintendo doesn't have any beta or hell, alpha testers in this case. I can't even cancel a pick up of a crap weapon either, I have to either equip and throw it or go into the menu and drop it.
Found me some Hylian pants. Anyone know where the shirt is? Or a coat to get into the cold side of the Plateau?
Jesus, this boss you gotta fight to get the 20 shock arrows, I just can't do it!
Literally just count how often each of the 4 is shown in the middle.
Was the (1st divine beast spoilers)Vah Ruta dungeon considered a main dungeon?
If so, main dungeons in this game are very disappointing if they're all like that... Very short
the rest of the set is off the starting area to my knowledge, as for the coat/cold, there's other ways of solving said puzzleFound me some Hylian pants. Anyone know where the shirt is? Or a coat to get into the cold side of the Plateau?
What do you need extra Stamina for anyway? Stamina feels like a dump stat.
Those enemies that belong to theare some major dicks. I'm enjoying a nice night time stroll when theyYiga Clanliterally transform from an innocent NPC to a murderous blood hungry enemy. Damn they move fast. I had to take one down by freezing her with my arrow
Is anyone else finding the controls confusing sometimes? I always forget that "throw" is R1, and hit the ZR button instead (the placement feels more natural). I am always dropping my bombs as a result. Maybe the controller is just a bit too small/cramped on the shell thing, but even switching weapons in the heat of battle feels cumbersome. And I don't have big hands by any means.
4 orbs = 1/4 stamina wheelCan someone spoil me onto pull the Master Sword?how hearts are needed
I'm trying to decide if I should just spend all my Spirit Orbs on Heart Containers or spend one on Stamina Vessels.

I think that's what I'm struggling with as well. I have a feeling it's probably just the tutorial section, but the game feels very barren right now. I was suprised how sparse enemy locations are.
Have to buy them later? Dang. The shirt and hood are for sale in a shop Kakariko Village. Pricey, though.

Gat damn the villages in this are amazing looking and filled to the brim! Every house has so much detail... just mind boggling. And the professor is one of my fav characters so far 😁
Allowing a player to be more efficient and letting them have more fun is hand holding? Come on. This is basic game design. We're in 2017, not 1997.IMO, this would be hand holding, which would break the game design of BotW.
No, no it would not. There are a ton of quality of life mechanics they could put in this game that wouldn't break anything. Being able to quickly dump weapons and items without going into a menu is the furthest thing from hand golding, the thought is laughable.IMO, this would be hand holding, which would break the game design of BotW.

My son loves the game though. I find myself fighting with controls for some odd reason, and this has never happened to me with games before. Like I have recurring senility when playing. Died too many times because of my dumb button presses.
Maybe I haven't touched a Nintendo controller for too long.
Fun fact: equipping flaming weapons (including lit torches) gives a bit of cold resistancethe rest of the set is off the starting area to my knowledge, as for the coat/cold, there's other ways of solving said puzzle
fuck those so such, I wish those would stop spammingare fucking terrifying.Wizrobes
Download the parental controls app and it will log it. It's the only way. Thanks Nintendo...Is there a way to tell how many hours I've played? There doesn't seem to be a detailed activity log on the Switch yet.
I think it's the fact that we actually have to press a button to jump now and it's in an odd placement. I'm used to pressing one of the lower two buttons to jump. I guess I can change controls, just haven't done it yet.Is anyone else finding the controls confusing sometimes? These stasis shrines where you have to aim objects are about as fun as I imagine hammering my own balls would be. Especially when there's weapon durability to account for.
Even then it only shows how much you played the Switch per day, doesn't seem to break it out per game.Download the parental controls app and it will log it. It's the only way. Thanks Nintendo...
I don't know what use they have yet, but in my experience they aren't too hard to findIs it worth it to sell my Amber and Opal that I got from Shrines?

Had the same experience, ended up running away (which was pretty thrilling in it's own right)Ahhh this fucking game
Enemy spoilerfucking Lynels man. I can't even get half their health down. Way too weak to fight them right now with only 5 hearts.
