How do you get Korok seeds? I thought some would be in Kakariko village but I didnt see any

I want inventory expansion

Find little children of the forest. I've found two so far, both at the very top of high ass places.

Hidden collectibles, basically.

The last 15yrs any time I tried playing a Zelda game I usually lasted about 6hrs before stopping out of boredom.

Since yesterday, I haven't even explored basic parts of the Switch hardware and features because I CANNOT stop playing this game. It is just so damn satisfying. Mechanics, visuals, story, it's incredible.

Ooooook, my on foot adventure was certainly epic but I had a feeling I was venturing into an area I almost certainly wasn't prepared for.

Then I met
Lynel
. Fuuuuuuck that, back to the grasslands we go!
I'll come back for him later, jesus christ...

Just reached the island where
you lose all the item for the trial and need to defeat ennemies and taking their orb, by taking only item that you found on the small island... Almost did it and they one shoted by a cyclope :(

Does anybody figured out the puzzle of the birdguy at the beach near the laboratory village?

they're everywhere and there's many way to get them! They simplest is when they're under rocks!

But they can appear by solving small puzzle, like in kakariko village, there's five statue with apple in their lap, but one is missing an apple, just put an apple there and it will appear!

There's lot of different puzzle all around the map to make them appear, this is just one of them

There's some kind of magic to this game that makes it feel alive. The world is so perfectly detailed and built that the game feels more like visiting a place than playing a game.

I also get SoTC vibes due to how small Link feels. It's that same feeling of vein dwarfed in the face of a huge world.

Yeah the leadup into entering that one was pretty cool. Hopefully the other ones are just as cool.

It was quite a interesting dungeon, particularly
using the trunk to get access to a few of the terminals.
Wasn't really that long to get through, but the non-linear aspect of it was neat. Kind of worry that all 4 dungeons are going to feel too same-y in theme through, but each having their own interesting mechanics to mess around with could make up for it.

The
camel one
took me by surprise. I was scanning the area, saw this foggy area down below. All of a sudden these
two large mechanical humps pop out over the fog.
Nearly had a heart attack.

I just ripped a half-buried metal chest from the ground via magnesis but used too much force. It launched into the air and landed on me, nearly killing me lol

Ha, this happened to me too, but mine fell down the hill and into the water. Had some fun recovering it.

I really feel like this game captures old turn based RPG/dungeon crawler elements more than even some of those games contemporary entries, especially in the way it gives out loot/weapon drops or how you can find a huge variety of different weapons with different stats in chests. Even in the way you talk to NPCs to get little hints and clues about what to do next, where you'd want to talk to every person in a town or look in every nook and cranny because the stuff you can get could be an awesome treasure.

It's the way I used to feel playing old Final Fantasy games especially on limited hardware like the NES where you can't really get much in the ways of hints and clues besides small NPC conversations. Even how every chest or enemy I encounter could be a nice upgrade from where I'm at now is a great feeling and the risk/reward of taking on stronger enemies, figuring out a strategy, then possibly walking away with stronger than you were when you walked in.

Maybe it's just me, but I just like the way it's handled that sort of stuff in this game. It feels a lot different than a lot of games I can recently recall in a subtle but satisfying way.

I know. My wife thought I was watching a movie at first when she walked in last night. Said she hadn't seen this one before, oh wait this is Zelda. Another reason people in doubt should just go buy it and play it for themselves. Reading about it and watching videos about it does not do it justice.

I forgot where I read it but someone said this is like playing a 100 hour long anime movie. It really does feel like it.

I'm confused. Isn't is only one entry? It says she's only just begun writing in it when you find it.

Different character. Not
Impa's granddaughter
. If you havent gotten up to it, dont worry. Its not really much of a spoiler.

I went to the desert today and once I figured out you could ride sand seals (which is awesome) I just went as far as I could into the emptyness and found
Moldura. Holy shit, what an incredible boss. Fighting that thing with a sand seal basically turns it into Dirge from Shadow of the Colossus. Or it would if the sand seal would just be loyal to me. So many deaths because my stupid seal ran off.

Now I don't know what else to do around the desert since I can't enter
Gerudo Town
or
the Divine Beast
. Might go check if my heat-resistant elixirs are good enough to let me approach the volcano.

This game is literally everything. Every second a joy. I am in total awe. I have to leave to go to a dinner party and it's killing me.

I'd figured that out. it's still an absolute pain in the ass to get the thing to the exit platform

also fuck this game for having anything using gyro in it

I know I've been wrong about almost everything I've asked so far in this thread, but isn't turning off gyro controls one of the very meager selection of options the game actually affords?

I finished this puzzle without
flipping the board. Just rolling it quickly and pulling upwards at the end worked perfectly. I couldn't tell you which is easier, figuring out how to control the board's attitude was the hardest part.

this stupid fucking thing with a the ball in a maze using the gyro on the gamepad... I'm about to return this game
I used the pro controller, turned the entire table upside down, and let the ball roll on the underside... this circumvents the entire silly puzzle and is much easier. Felt smart and was surprised it worked, lol.

Dropped about 18 hours into the Wii U version. The game is fantastic. Frame Rate dips pretty low in villages and some other small buildings. It's awful to look at but you gotta get through it. Besides that my only complaints about the game are: No roll, no audio options (like turning music up or down/game audio/voices), and no option for different language VA or even disabling VA completely (the english voice acting is absolutely terrible).

Besides that this is easily one of my favorite zelda games. I absolutely think the best way to play this will be Cemu when they have it completely locked at 30 with texture packs and maybe even the option to choose which voice acting language you want.

So is this living up to the reviews so far? God damn I am thinking of buying a switch for this shit but I really don't want to. Or maybe I really do I don't know.

Go stuck, need some help.

So I'm on the Goron quest line and I got to the end of the Abandoned North Mine but have no idea how to get Yonobu out of there. Tried everything and now I'm wondering if there's an item I missed.
There's cannons around the area which you can control by hitting your weapon against it. Throw a bomb in it and launch it towards Yonobu.

Do iiiiit. I bought it just for this game, impulse buy on the day. I have zero regrets.

The exploration in this and general feel of the world is incredible.

Damn, those lizard enemies are annoying, they jump all over the place!! They also come in armored variety.

I really hate those mage things worse though, they skip in the air and have all sorts of spells. And oh yeah, they teleport.

Anyone else purposely wasting time exploring and treasure hunting just because you don't ever want this game to end? It's just so great.

This usually happens with me when it's games I really enjoy. Games like Super Mario Galaxy, TLoU and this game, where I at times just stop doing things and just hang around soaking in the atmosphere or do trivial things just so I don't progress too quickly.

BotW is perfect for this kind of behaviour, because even the most mundane, "non-progressive" exploration feels meaningful in some way. Traversing areas you've already been in for example doesn't have to be useless as the world is completely dynamic. You may stumble upon something that wasn't there the last time. Also there's plenty of value in just wandering about collecting stuff as it can be of good use.

I'm doing everything in this game very slowly and making sure that I let myself take time to just enjoy the amazing atmosphere without feeling any urges to get on with it for the sake of progression.

I think it's slightly over-reviewed, mainly the dungeons that I find disappointing but also monster variety. Still an incredible game though, just not a 10/10 for me. Maybe a 9.

This is one of the cases where no matter how much praise people heap on this game, it will still take your breath away when you put it in and start playing. If no other game ever came out for the Switch it would still be worth.
