Just best a shrine that made me feel like a genius.

It was an a forest.

Constellation shrine. I spent so much time trying to recreate rather than count...

What is this supposed to be
Look at the air around you after stepping on it

In regards to shrines, I have to say I'm disappointed that I've come across two of the same types, the two
minor combat
ones. So I assume there's two more of the
modest and whatever the other one was called
. I thought Nintendo would at least have unique content in every shrine.

Man this world is fucking massive! Got to be one of the largest open world games?

Did the Shrine side quest upon mount lunayro (spelling?). Was a pretty darn cool "thing" up there. Go check it out!

My Link climbs like a beast now when i have found climbing bandana and boots.

I'm having some serious issues with the English voice acting - the acting itself isn't superb, but it'd be passable if they (like 90% of other American-acted media) actually employed VA's that were capable of doing a convincing English accent, let them have their clearly innate American accents, or just employed people with a native English accent if they're so determined to make them sound English.

It's so bad, and it's killing my immersion. This often goes overlooked in media because a massive portion of the English speaking population consists of North Americans who don't actually know how fake it sounds. Either do it right or don't do it.

Anyone else feel the combat is a bit off? like locking on, moving around with camera, going from bow to shield, etc feels clumsy. It seems like its fundementally good and I like a lot of it but some things feel off

Durability was fine at first, but going through 4 or 5 different weapons on one boss is insane. hpefully they make things last longer

Targeting goes to crap when fighting stalfos for me. It feels like its soft locking onto loot making things more awkward than they should be. Not being to attack while moving is also grinding my gears.

At the moment I still prefer SS combat and controls.

Just reached location/town spoilers:

rito village man that theme i teared up! (rito/dragon roost theme orchestrated)

This game is perfection

Most are unique but there are also a few combat ones and some hidden ones with no puzzles all

No, that's actually deliberate! Bill Trinnen talked about this when the game was streamed on E3 Treehouse that they chose a stripped dowm visual style so the player can make out key things very easily.
Is this serious? That is such a strange design though.

I just started and I'm still on the plateau. I've found
the magnet shrine, the bomb shrine, a bucket and a mop and an illustrated book about birds. Where are the other two shrines? I guess one is in the Spirit Woods, but can't find it. Have no clue on the other one. Using the sheikah slate hasn't yielded any useful results.

Which Divine beast quest do you suggest to start for your first?
Just got creamed by the guy that shoots electric arrows.

The old man's suggestion about a high vantage point really helps

That you haven't open the chest in the shrine?

Most (all?) of them have a "bonus" chest hidden somewhere, and it's trickier to get that to finish the shrine.

Just a guess, I haven't noticed it.

It's the opposite. A chest icon means you HAVE found all chests in that shrine. No icon means there's something left to open.

Huh that's really thoughtful!

Btw, am I the only one who take like 10 screen caps each time I play the game? ;)I There was talk about how the grass wasn't as high/dense as in the first video a while ago, downgrade-ton etc. Well, can we officially admit now that we were all wrong? lol
The grassy fields in this game is like the best I've ever seen, it looks sooo good especially at sunrise when the sun is low and the grass is glimmering. :)

Almost all the weapons I pick up are two-handed, meaning I don't get the chance to try shields or parrying. Odd.

I've committed to the purchase of the
house.

Sat there for ages cooking stuff to sell. Thanks Nintendo for not allowing batch cooking, but making us do it one by one...

Money has been paid, old mate
builder has gone off to start a new settlement. Can't wait to see it!

Man...that darn lighting. I had the armor and didn't even think about, blam dead!.

Getting tjose shock arrow was the hardest part of the Ruto challenge! If I could do it without killing...I didn't know how! But I did it...lots of food and dodging with ocasional arrow to the face!!!

Loving this game and still learning new things about 20 hours in!! Heck at that time is that I found the first dungeon!

I am tackling the island where everything is taken away...this is super hard!

I like the (first village shop equipment)
Sheikah outfit
. I had a good chunk of money from raiding Hyrule Castle at the start, so I was able to buy the whole set.

Catching horses, bugs and small animals now is no problem - I can practically run up to them before they react at all, thanks to the stealth bonuses. Sometimes I've literally run straight into them before they reacted. It's especially helpful with catching bugs as now I can just run around grabbing them all as I go, rather than having to slowly crawl around.

The defense is eh, but I've upgraded it so it's not so bad now. I do wish it didn't clip through your shield as you run around though.

So I'm around 4 hours into the game and I'm not really having much fun. It feels more like a survival game rather than an action adventure. I just got done talking to the kid Director and now I'm trying to get the blue flame to the furnace. Does the game get any better from here? I'm tired of all this walking and resource management.

You got there in 4 hours?! I got there today and I've been playing since launch lol

The Legend of Zelda: Goat Simulator. Wait, I'm probably two years late to that joke...

Just finished Lanayru and
beat my first temple
. I'm enjoying it a lot, the simple addition of being able climb just about everything adds so much to the experience. The world they've built around this is really good, too.

I'll say that I really miss being able to rebind controls. I die a lot in combat just because I touch L (which is really easy to do by mistake on the Joycons) which usually brings up the camera, or the left stick click which enters stealth (I really hate clickable sticks, worst button addition ever made standard). I'd rebind weapon change to L in an instant if I could.

I still can't figure it out, tried chopping down the tree with the most apples, nothing.
tried chopping down the trees with the least apples, nothing.

It seems strange that they are up in higher elevation and there are multiple instances of this.

In terms of pure square miles, yea it's pretty large, probably upper mid tier, quite a few games have larger map than this. However, the scale is smaller and as such you cover distance quicker. What I mean is that eventhough BoTW's map is estimated to be like 360sq miles it takes about 20 minutes or so to run from one end to another. By comparison, in GTA5 with its 81sq miles of map size it takes over 40 minutes to run from one end to another. And not to mention GTA5 also has a much more denser world than BoTW.

It's the same deal with something like Horizon and TW3. Despite TW3 being bigger, the time it takes to cover 400M in Horizon, you could cover over a KM in TW3. So raw numbers for size mean nothing.

Curious, how does the game handle reaching the end of the map? Is it an invisible wall, do you circumnavigate the map, or does it simply turn you around saying you're going too far?

Omg!!

I scanned my amiibo and a horse popped up! Great! I needed a horse!

I take it to get registered at and the guy says
Isn't this Epona!?
and yesterday the amiibo gave me the
hat from Twilight Princrss
. So now I wear the doublet everywhere and feel awesome.

Now I need to find the
horse fairy to keep epona safe

Seriously - I just got there and I've put in maybe close to 16 hours or so?

Complaining about the walking around makes it sound like he hasn't gotten a horse either. Must have purely gone straight from story objective to story objective?
