I actually really like this detail. It makes me rethink how I have to apporach thing. You can always make a camp fire to wait it out tooI hope whoever put in the slipping when climbing in the rain thing is now homeless.
Look at the air around you after stepping on it![]()
What is this supposed to be
Is the music pretty samey throughout the game? Very ambient background tracks most of the way?
It also makes getting to Zora's domain way more fun imoI actually really like this detail. It makes me rethink how I have to apporach thing. You can always make a camp fire to wait it out too

Oh god that's such a good solution to that one. Thought I was all clever with my sneaking around
Anyone else feel the combat is a bit off? like locking on, moving around with camera, going from bow to shield, etc feels clumsy. It seems like its fundementally good and I like a lot of it but some things feel off
Durability was fine at first, but going through 4 or 5 different weapons on one boss is insane. hpefully they make things last longer
Most are unique but there are also a few combat ones and some hidden ones with no puzzles allIn regards to shrines, I have to say I'm disappointed that I've come across two of the same types, the twoones. So I assume there's two more of theminor combat. I thought Nintendo would at least have unique content in every shrine.modest and whatever the other one was called
Is this serious? That is such a strange design though. No, that's actually deliberate! Bill Trinnen talked about this when the game was streamed on E3 Treehouse that they chose a stripped dowm visual style so the player can make out key things very easily.
Theres more than just one I found one in next to the shrine on major strengthWhere was this again? I saw it and gave up lol
The old man's suggestion about a high vantage point really helpsI just started and I'm still on the plateau. I've foundthe magnet shrine, the bomb shrine, a bucket and a mop and an illustrated book about birds. Where are the other two shrines? I guess one is in the Spirit Woods, but can't find it. Have no clue on the other one. Using the sheikah slate hasn't yielded any useful results.

Okay, seriously, someone mentioned it and now I'm deadly curious. How do you craftGuardian Weapons?
That you haven't open the chest in the shrine?
Most (all?) of them have a "bonus" chest hidden somewhere, and it's trickier to get that to finish the shrine.
Just a guess, I haven't noticed it.
Huh that's really thoughtful! No, that's actually deliberate! Bill Trinnen talked about this when the game was streamed on E3 Treehouse that they chose a stripped dowm visual style so the player can make out key things very easily.
Doesn't seem so surprrising. Most of the readability rules well established in 2D games have been forgotten when 3D arrived, it's time they relearn those...Is this serious? That is such a strange design though.
Where is? I need some upgrades...Hetsu

So I'm around 4 hours into the game and I'm not really having much fun. It feels more like a survival game rather than an action adventure. I just got done talking to the kid Director and now I'm trying to get the blue flame to the furnace. Does the game get any better from here? I'm tired of all this walking and resource management.
In terms of pure square miles, yea it's pretty large, probably upper mid tier, quite a few games have larger map than this. However, the scale is smaller and as such you cover distance quicker. What I mean is that eventhough BoTW's map is estimated to be like 360sq miles it takes about 20 minutes or so to run from one end to another. By comparison, in GTA5 with its 81sq miles of map size it takes over 40 minutes to run from one end to another. And not to mention GTA5 also has a much more denser world than BoTW.Man this world is fucking massive! Got to be one of the largest open world games?
Did the Shrine side quest upon mount lunayro (spelling?). Was a pretty darn cool "thing" up there. Go check it out!
My Link climbs like a beast now when i have found climbing bandana and boots.
You got there in 4 hours?! I got there today and I've been playing since launch lol
