Okay so I'm at a location that should have a memory but there's no glowing thing to interact with. Anyone know what's up? It's the horse statue place.

I'm gonna have to come back to Eventide when I have more hearts, I've got pretty far but the Hinox is giving me some trouble.

I love how link looks at him like nothings wrong.

Is the
Zora Domain
dungeon part of the main quest? I want to go there but I don't want to continue the main story now :P

Yup! They all are. Theres a lot leading up to the dungeon though so I'd suggest doing it when you're itching for some story. Took me about 4-5 hours to get through it all from the very beginning. Its nice and meaty.

Very cool way to open it! I won't spoil it but it was one of the most fun things I've done up until now :)

Yeah it talks about a
beast with a bone crown. I must mount it on its throne. Hmmm......first thing i'm gonna do tomorrow when i play it again is look for a creature that resembles that. Hopefully that's the right way to start looking for it. :)

Amazing game so far, it's the little things that keep blowing me away and the climbing mechanic is just superb. Being able to climb pretty much anything is just.....so damn liberating and gives such an amazing sense of freedom. I'm afraid if i were to start playing other open world games now that they'd feel extremely limited.

As some one with 15 hearts and only 2 stamina bars

Let me just say hearts feel much more important, unless you're grinding out crazy level 4 armor upgrades.

I still get hit on the regular for 8+ hearts in one hit.
Sounds like the easy solution is to not get hit.

Can I respec to get thirteen hearts, get the master sword, then respec again to go back to my current setup without losing the ability to use the master sword?

Game really isn't connecting with me at the moment. Will try to stick it out at least to the end of the great plateau at least...I mean it's Zelda and everyone else absolutely loves it.

Admittedly I am definitely not an "Open World" guy...I like almost all of them less than the average person. But all this game has done so far is make me want to go fire up an older Zelda game instead.

Motion control shrines are fine, don't know what people are whinging about, it's SS all over again.
I like the motion of SS, but I had to play the golf one on the Wii U gamepad since I didn't want to turn the TV on. I must've looked like a fool, blindly swinging the pad like a madman. It doesn't help that the maze ones are hard to judge the height at the end.

You mean the one with the ball and the maze? It's not impossible but it's terrible.. And the game in general is terrible in handheld mode

Not that one. There's a shrine I found that
works like the boss keys in Skyward Sword. At one point you need to completely flip it over to gain access to a chest that contains a small key.

I'm loving handheld mode. It's super comfy playing at night in bed snuggled under the blankets.

Just finished the water dungeon. Man, that's gotta be one of the best things I've ever played. Fantastic dungeon design imo.

Running down
the trunk as it was unfolding
was just amazing. Its so amazingly creative in it's design I was awe struck.

The only shrine I felt was bad was the
golf one
. It wouldn't be bad if there was a way to really dictate how to aim the direction better. And given the time limit of the time freeze its pretty obnoxious. I basically said fuck the treasure in that one haha.

Pretty dissapointed with the frame rate in certain areas. In handheld mode it's been such an unbelievably smooth and incredible experience though. What an amazing game.

What are the chances that an update will fix the framerate issues completely?

I've raved about this once in the thread already but the trek to
Goron City
was just fucking epic. It's like I'm literally playing a fantasy novel or adventure movie, dare I say it is the most exhilarating sequence of gameplay I've ever experienced, and I hate hyperbole.

I was already loving the hell out of exploring and shrines and sidequests, going at my own pace, but then the game just goes to 11 in some places. For me, that trek is the pinnacle of the game so far, and it's so exciting knowing there is way more ahead of me.

I was playing fast through the great plateau because I saw so much of it already. It lost its shine. The game gets super good afterwards. Listen to what others are saying and play past the beginning portion.

Really wish Link would just auto grab the next weapon when he breaks or tosses it.

I mean there's no reason why it shouldn't happen since the game pauses when you equip another one so it would just speed up gameplay. Especially at the pace at which he goes through the weapons.

guys, anyone can help me out

where is the (2nd village spoilers)
statue or thing that allows you to re-allocate your points?

thanks

EDIT: nvm found it lol

Holy shit with the L
ynel
near the
Zora's Domain
. Any trick I'm missing to beating this guy? He obliterates me almost immediately.

Wow, that's pretty long! I'll go there tomorrow :)
Now I just have...to go...explore...just a little bit...more

I'm just running around the world lol. I want to see every place and every town. I want to explore everything...it's so addictive. Also, I don't want to "rush" through the main story (no idea how long the main story is).
I mean I completed it yesterday and spent all of today exploring. It doesn't lock you into anything, hell you can skip them altogether if you wanted! It's worth going there because it's a great place to discover and see.

Usually yeah, but some times you just wanna kill things recklessly and quickly so I like the hearts :P
That's the main purpose of the hearts to me: a buffer against sloppy mistakes in combat. Hit damage is severe but even the most careless player will only lose a minute or so for each death, thanks to the generous auto save system. That's a risk I'm willing to take, in order to run farther and climb higher all the time. Maybe I'll change my mind later. I'm still in the early going.

The Great Plateau is really a tutorial area. Everything good about the game is enhanced in the true post-Plateau open world. You can navigate more easily. Combat is more varied. Locations are more diverse.

I felt the same way with the Great Plateau, perhaps because it was so overexposed pre-release. It doesn't do the game justice.

So, I don't have a Switch, but I'm thinking I might pick up the Wii U version of Zelda and getting a Switch in Spring.

How does the Wii U version run? I did notice that the Wii U version requires 3GB install, which I've got a flash drive for.
