I thought I got good, but the
camel
boss wtf.

Is
Miphas Blessing
worth keeping activated or does it turn the game into easy mode?
It takes time to regen and seeing that there are enemies that can do 10+ damage it's more of a pick me up than turning things to easy mode.

I haven't gotten it yet but Farosh is
a big ol dragon. You can see him flying around Lake Hylia and the tropical region every once in awhile.

So one can assume,
that's a mini boss and I have to kill him, get his scales and bring it to the goddess to unlock this shrine.
Hmmm that helped! I'm going to try it now.

So is there anything stopping you from just using the Ice Rune to get down from the plateau before getting the paraglider? I'm doing it right now but I was wondering if there is some other barrier that's active before getting the glider.
I think Anouma hinted that there's a way to reach the bottom with out the glider.

Bought a
house and spent about 3300 on it with interiors
. Time to mine some minerals and earn money again. :D

Also unlocked
ancient arrows. Time to get even more money and get the gear.
Riding around with the horse on massive meadows is so relaxing.

As much as I'm absolutely loving this game, I hope a CD Projekt Red-style patch is imminent. Witcher 3 patched the menu / item system somewhat, and improved performance across the board.

Clicking the Right stick should drop items while in the item switch menu, Looting an item when you are at capacity should just drop your current item, etc.

Dunno if this has been brought up yet, but the description of the
Sword of the Six Sages
basically confirms that
this is not the Child Era timeline
.

The Six Sages are said to have forged this longsword to seal a demon king in the world where the hero fought against the beasts of the twilight. The blade shines with a holy luster.

the "puzzles" with the gamepad gyro are so fucking bad. they're not puzzles. you don't have to figure anything out. you just have to deal with an awful control mechanic

Should I be saving the ore and gems I find for something in particular, or are they just for selling to vendors for rupees?

Where do I trade in the seeds I'm collecting from the little wood spirit guys from Wind Waker?

Theres literally no downtime in this game. Not once was I just, oh this downtime.
On a more serious note, I feel that after the first dungeon, it's a bit like... going through the motions. There's no mystery or agency because everything is told upfront. I feel it was a mistake to have the game take place 100 years later. They could have used the events from 100 years ago as the main plot and retain some mystery. The fact that you know who the antagonist is (Ganon), and where he resides, takes me out of it. I hope there are some twists to it, because so far it makes no sense to have Link lose all his memory.

The world is vast and full of secrets, but without some kind of story pull, it just feels... shallow.

It is so hard to put this down. Everywhere you go there's just something new and exciting around the corner. I normally never get into big open world games but Nintendo actually knows how to do it right. They just set a new bar.

One thing, on the
Eventide
Island - the one
where they take all our stuff and you have to survive
. I love that challenge, it's absolutely amazing. The only thing that bothers me is
that I always die of lightning and there doesn't seem to be a way to avoid it. Do I just have bad luck or am I doing something wrong?

Make sure you don't have anything metal equipped. The inventory will tell you which items are safe and which ones are not every time a thunderstorm begins

Did I miss something in the description of Magnesis? Can you rotate the object while you are holding it? Trying to place a beam in a certain spot is tough.

Recently i been feeling the game is...too open :/

Im not finding any new shrines or even advancing to the next town/memory/dungeon in awhile, and the world its soo big its becoming tedious to navigate.

Ended going to Hyrule castle because why not/ boredom it looks very cool.

On the plus side i gathered tons of rupees and worthless weapons i guess

Un-equip metallic weapons/shield. The lightning only hits you when you have metal things on.

Alright. I have gone through like 20 horses.

It seems wild steeds will max at

4/3/4 stars. Anyone find anything different?

The more solid the color for the horse, the more likely it is to have those stats. I have found no horses with 4/4/4 or more.

Does anyone else have trouble with accidentally clicking the left stick and crouching in the middle of battle (playing on the Switch)? It happens to me often enough to frustrate me and I purposefully avoid trying to do backflips now.

Highlight of my Zelda day: Upon entering the region just beyond hyrule castle, a thunderstorm starts, I can see the nearby tower but I have to cross the Hyrule training grounds first.
It's the dead of night and I've got my swanky upgraded Sheikah gear with stealth and night speed bonuses which is handy because I just lost my only non metal weapon in a small skirmish prior so I'm currently unequipped as to avoid being struck.
Successfully sneaking through the boggy area in the rain, one enemy awakens though, he dashes to his sword, his metal sword that is...
BOOM Lightning in his face, bloody glorious and I continue scampering on my way.

I score this game Divine intervention outta ten!

Just got to the first fairy fountain last night. That whole village is absurd, and that's the very weird cherry on top.

Just got to the village, what a charming little place. Love that there was a cucco gathering side quest, really hit me right in the nostalgia solar plexus.

Spoilers for the area
Lost Woods
:
Fantastic area. Easily my favorite of the game. That said, you-know-what is pretty disappointing.

Yeah, also have it with the telescoping shekiah slate on the other stick. I wish there was better button remapping.

Yup, I dunno what thy were thinking on that one.

They are puzzles. They're also toys. What you figure out is interaction, and it's fun. The gyro controls are good, and it have a level of interactivity you don't get with traditional controls.

Some shrines are like this, and you interact with the puzzle with your rune tools:

Some shrines are like this, where you use your controller as the interaction tool:

I find it all fun.

This game.

So huge, so much stuff to do. I already activated all the towers and omg, the journey. So much freedom... words escape me.

I absolutely adore this game to death.

I love the small, natural touches to this game. Running through the grassy fields during the day, a lightning storm at night. Lightning strikes a tree and animals flee past you from that spot. I'm so immersed in this world.

I'm in my first dungeon. Quick question, if I have to leave the dungeon to stock up on supplies, do I lose my progress?
