I love that so many points on the map are references to previous Zelda games. It's a nice touch.

Non-story spoilers about the island to the south east of the map.

Vague details:
I notice on the map this island has a point called Kolohint Rock. Recognizing the reference to Link's Awakening (but not expecting anything) I decide to glide over there from the nearby cliff. I have such a unique experience on the island. I was not expecting anything like what happened. I love that this was included in the game and that it's likely tons of players won't even venture out there.

RECOMMEND EXPERIENCING THIS FOR YOURSELF SO DONT READ ON UNLESS YOU DON'T MIND BEING SPOILED ON THE ISLAND.

Getting stranded there with no equipment and having to scavenge for weapons and food from scratch was such a fun experience. I tried to take on the Hinox early on and got him down to 25% of health before all my weapons had run out. I then had to flee and regroup. I tackled the enemies around the rest of the island, dodging fierce lightning storms, cooked some stat boosting food and then returned to finish off the Hinox. He had fully recovered but I defeated him pretty easily.
You actually don't have to fight the Hinox, just glide onto his belly when he's sleeping and steal the ball on his necklace. THEN RUN

Anyone knows where are the other great fairies
outside of the one in kakariko
?

just a general direction, no specifics please

I found a second one (general direction spoiler)
to the west of the plateau

Haha, tell me if you need it more specific :P

I was at the top of the red snowy mountians in Gerudo zone. Ran from a Lynel and came across a giant building sized sword in the snow. Had to stop at that point. Any clues as to what that could be?

Well, I'm an idiot. I created a new HDMI input on my TV, named it 'Switch' and everything before actually getting my switch. Forgot to turn off image processing on that input, so I've been playing with ridiculous input latency this whole time.

I'm now actually landing arrows mid-combat, landing so much more perfect blocks, etc. Everything just feels soooo much better. GOD I HATE MYSELF.

I've done just about every side quest in Kakariko. How do I get the orb from Impa's?

Also, where did the Korok seed guy go? Been so long since I first saw him that I cant remember what he said.

I dunno about your first question, but the second one:
ive seen him pop up near stables from time to time. I assume he eventually makes it back to wherever Koroks live, but I haven't gotten there yet so who knows lol.

Has anyone found a site or anything showing the locations of Lynel's? I want to max out this armor but I've only found two so far including the one you are told to fight.

Started playing it a few days ago and so far, I'm not too excited I gotta say.

I was expecting to be blown away from the beginning after all the reviews and you know, it gets boring, all open world tropes are here, vast empty spaces, thousands of collectibles, repetitive activities.

I can't stand the shrines anymore, it's very tiring seeing the same aesthetics over and over again and getting exactly the same thing, seeing the same piece of dialog, long loading time to enter, long loading time to exit.

Same to the enemies camping sites.

What I appreciate so far is how the game is not afraid to be hard. I can't remember the last Zelda game I actually died, it was probably Majora's Mask. Also how Nintendo finally changed the formula. It does feel different from the regular Zelda game while also maintaining the identity.

I know I'm only scratching the surface still, so I expect to start having fun soon lol

Just wondering, does anyone else think the
upgraded stasis
is pretty damn overpowered? I managed to defeat that first
Lynel
way too easily.

Beat the korok leaf puzzle shrine (Kah Okeo Shrine) by finding an alternate path that didn't require much use of the raft to avoid hitting the balloons. Why would they make the leaf a degradable weapon is beyond me.

Climbed up to the top of a big, tricky mountain peak and was rewarded with a buried treasure chest. I dug it up with Magnesis only to have it go sailing off the side of the mountain instead of being softly set back down.

I glided after it but never found it. :(

Maybe unopened loot like that eventually resets its position, like enemies?

I don't really care that much - the game world is so big that I don't even remember where the treasure was, and whatever was in it would certainly be temporary. But I like the idea that at some point, days or weeks from now, I could have another crack at finding it.

Every time an assassin is after me I have been fortunate to have a lightning storm arrive and they get hit by lightning. So satisfying watching them do all their fancy disappearing act only to go up in a puff of smoke after lightning hits them.

Dudes I'm at the entrance of the first, I assume, dungeon, the one in
Zora Domain
and my god the
whole battle thing with the prince and the arrows was one of the coolest shit ever, the music, the amazing voice acting of the dude encouraging you, the atmosphere and everything, some sublime epic stuff, just wow.
I just had to stop and share lol, now onto the actual thing.

This game man.

How do I fight the
huge dragons
?

Have you done the side quest
The Spring of Wisdom in Hateno Village?

If you haven't. Do that.

If you have done that side quest, you learned that
if you shoot an arrow at them they lose a scale. The scales are needed for stuff. You don't kill the dragons, they are on your side

It's quite an experience. It's all very different from what you'd normally expect going into a Zelda game, but I love it.

Are there any items that are pretty much just Vendor Trash? Just found my first merchant and I was wondering what all is just worth selling.

Does anyone know a place or how to reliably get a Korok leaf?

Cut down trees, they drop every once in a while from trees. Or you can go back to River of the Dead on the Great Plateau where you first get one.

Edit: I'm in the Akkala region and they drop from trees very frequently here.
