Just did my first dungeon and it was much better than expected going by the impressions in here. While not as large as a traditional dungeon it had some really good puzzles and was a decent length. Maybe I just had low expectations going in (I was expecting a shrine with a boss), but this was way better than I expected.

I hate this mini golf shrine..

I hate that shrine too with every fiber of my being

Wanna like get married?

Bird-man thing at the Ridgeland Tower is easy rupees if you been pouring your spirit orbs in stamina. Just stacking silver rupees out here.

also yeah the putting shrine really sucked because the damn putter doesn't reset it's damn position. 3 ball gyro maze is still the worst one I've encountered so far though.

Can someone please give me a tip. It has to do with Elephant. That's the best way I can describe it without spoiling.

I've got all the terminals except the one that's in the middle of one of the cogs that's spinning. The terminal goes under water as the cog spins. I don't know how to get it. Drain the water somehow? Stop the cog somehow?

Don't tell me exactly, just give me a hint please.

Welp, there goes any semblance of the game being difficult.
Food that increases your Defense
multiple stacks is just supremely busted. It was a good 25 hours until the game turned into Twilight Princess.

0 degree Celsius.

Man, I can't flurry consistently at all, can anyone? The timing window seems pretty small, whenever I do it, it's more accident.

I loved my first one since it utilized all my tools; it was quite a while since my first trek into one and totally forgot the sailcloth was a thing which had me stumped for a good minute.

I had one where there was a bonus section for a chest, broke ten weapons on it trying to complete it and still didn't get it. The worst thing was I hit it perfect a couple of times but the ball just bounces out of the hole like we're playing pinball or something. Really infuriating.
I've done 30 shrines and that one by far is my most hated, haven't done it, broke too many weapons trying to get that chest in the end and save scummed to ignore it till later.

Can't you just flip the maze over and easily get the ball out? Or is this a different one?

You have to be able to maneuver the ball onto that little lip regardless of whether you flip it over and I just couldn't fucking do it for like half an hour.

That one shrine and rain being overly punishing (because you can't climb, you die to lightning; you can't see anything; and you can't even pass time) are like my only big negatives with the game.

Am I right in thinking after Impa tells me about the 4 beasts and the camera location stuff, it's up to me to progress the story?

Is there a right way or does it not matter?

There's another one with ball and motion controls.

Honestly any puzzle with WiiU motion controls are terrible, and this game goes an extra length to make them even worse by making you do the puzzle from an awkward angle. I mean you have a puzzle that you can rotate 360 degrees but you camera is fixed to one point...Wut ? There is no depth perception that way.

Honestly game has a LOT of problems with controls. To start it off the mapping is weird and unchangeable except for jump. Then take a lot of Sheika slate abilities as example, you can't actually aim the bomb, you can't rotate anything you are holding with magnesis, aiming the trajectory of object when using stasis is sometimes awkward, you can't adjust your aim if you want to use any one of these abilities mid fight since action is bound to A but you aim with right analogue stick..Which makes it awkward to aim and use abilities. And there are sections and fights in the game where you would want to do that.

Really enjoying this game. I think it's the best 3D Zelda since Majora's Mask.

I like the lengths of the main dungeons now, but I wish there were more of them.

Other than that I think it's the sequel to Ocarina of Time that I have always wanted, and an excellent template to build future Zelda titles.

That's the one I'm on right now and it's driving me up the wall. I can't get this bonus chest one in.

You can change weapons mid beating for less power but not so much

Also remember what the old man said about cutting trees
What was the tip?

I'm under the impression I'm missing something. I still have so many Korok seeds and after initial contact with that inventory increasing guy he is nowhere to be seen. :(

I've spent an hour now trying to get something and every time I get close a blood moon happens, which resets the current instance. It's happened every time completely consistently. It has to be a bug.

every time the dragon Dinraal gets close enough to me blood moon happens.

Yeah I only had one seed when I met him so I could only increase weapon size from 5 to 7. 7 sucks balls now that I'm finding so many great weapons.

This is bullshit.

You're not the first one mentioning this odd behavior in this thread, it does seem like a bug

I believe I know which one you're talking about. This may be obvious and I might have just gotten lucky, but it helped a lot when
I realized I can move the ball around before hitting it. Then it's just a matter of figuring out where to put it before hitting it at max power.

So I was exploring at night when I saw this mysterious light in the distance. I followed it and found
the "lord of the mountain" this weird ghost like moose thing, he vanished when I got close to him. Is there anything I can do with him or is it just something cool and mysterious to find and add to your compendium?

Hit it 6 times with the hammer and then switch to a normal sword for 1 more hit.

Is there a generally accepted order for major areas of the game? I feel like the second area I chose to finish was much tougher than the first. Perhaps it was designed to be done later?

I did Gerudo Valley after the Zoras, and the dungeon boss kicked my ass for quite awhile, until I buckled down and learned the different ways of smacking his ass.

I did the Gerudo Desert first. Lots of getting my ass kicked and I had to run back and get some better armor and some more hearts before I managed to beat the boss in the Titan, but damn was that Ability worth it. I'm really glad I have it, saved my ass more than a couple of times.

what I did with the ball maze one was turn the maze upside down and just use the smooth surface of the bottom lol it goes so fast that way >_<

hehe ^^

Because they're using it to mask what's going on under the hood to reset the world state.

Not sure about the Switch version, but on myt WiiU, as soon as the BM cut scene starts I can skip it and get right back to where I was. Literally a one sec shot of the red moon then I can skip with no load.
