Do they explain why the game has so few enemies? It lacks the variety of earlier titles. I miss redeads and wallmasters.

This bothers me too. I'm hoping it's just the section of the map I'm in. So far I have only seen:
-Moblins
-Lizalfos
-Bokoblins
-Skeletal Lizalfos
-Skeletal Bokoblins
-Lynel
-Octoroks
-Keese
-Chu Chu

There's a lot of enemies I associate with Zelda that I would have just expected to be here that just aren't. :( At least not yet. I can't believe, with all the emphasis on verticality, there are so few flying enemies to be found.

Is that all you've encountered?
Keese, chuchu, stone talus, hinox, wizzrobes, yiga, guardians and others too.

I added a couple after you quoted, but you're right. I did forget
Wizzrobes, Yiga, and Guardians.
I haven't seen the others yet.

Maybe those are for the DLC!

The actual reason why is simple: they had to reduce the number of bad guys that don't drop weapons and shields since durability is a critical game mechanic.

I've got a couple of questions about Hateno Village

1) Just to the North East of the
Ancient lab
where the hill bends round on the way up to the front door there is a little grassy area below with 4 or so trees. I thought this was a
Korok puzzle
, but i can't for the life of me work out what it is?
All of the trees have the same number of apples etc.

2) Where on earth do i find a guy called
Nebb
to start the
Weapon connoisseur side quest?

3) What's the deal with the two ladies gossiping? A
kid says you can sneak up on them and listen
, but it doesn't seem to achieve anything?

4) Are you really only limited to three
weapons stands in your house?
or do you get more once you buy everything?

Then two quick general questions...

1) How on earth do you catch
fairies to use for cooking?
I can never get close to one.

2) This is about an armour set:
You can't double level up Zora armour to get a matching set bonus from the big fairy? :/

Thanks.

Ok this fucking npc couple can go suck it. There are two people traveling around Hyrule looking for
a silent princess
as a testament to their love. First time I don't have one. That's fine. I finally find them again and I can't find an option to give it to them and now the guy is like "oh I want to find a still living one"

Fuck off buddy

Finished the main story. Final boss was pretty epic.

What a fantastic game. My favorite Zelda, hands down. And there is still so much to do and explore. I'll bet I've missed tons of secrets and quests. So after a little break, I'll be continuing my journey. ;-)

Can you explain the second part for me? What
abilities
?

Whenever you beat a titan you get an ability from the hero that's associated with it. So far I got Urbosa's Fury, which is an AoE thunder strike (three uses) that deals 500 damage, and Mipha's Prayer, which revives you with full hearts and some temporary HP. Those abilities are on a ~15min cooldown after you use them

What % do you have when you reload the file?

Master Sword can't break, it has a 10 minute recharge.

The Master Sword does not break.

The
Master Sword
doesn't break per se, you just can't use it for a couple minutes after it "Breaks", similar to the abilities you get after
liberating a titan

Regarding the shield:
once you finish establishing Tarrey Town, a guy there can forge you a new Hylian Shield if you break it after you acquire one.

Thanks!

What's amazing about this game is how the utterly massive game world ends up feeling... quite small. And I mean that in a good way! Manageable, understandable, traversable.

What seems like an ocean of non-descript emptiness at first gradually coalesces in your mind into something very, very similar to a normal Zelda map.

"Yeah you got Hyrule Castle in the middle here, a canyon leads to Gerudo Desert here, through these mountain is Kakariko, Death Mountain is up there and the snowy lands are over there." And so on and so on. As big as the map is, and feels, when you genuinely boil it down to that - a central location and the roads to each of the extremities - it's a really simple, manageable map that is totally in keeping with the series.

Then when you're actually on the ground it has the scale and the amount of content to blow you away. But I've seen about 75% of it by this stage and I've only played about 60-70 hours - and I played Skyward Sword for about 40, Twilight Princess for about 40. It's not absurdly, grotesquely huge, like I feared. It makes sense. It's magnificent.

Three Giant Brothers
shrine quest. Damn that was intense.

That's an awesome quest. And again, that's quite a large portion of the map that's used for just one thing. So I can look at that bit of the map and say 'Oh that's the Three Brothers region' and it sort of shrinks the map in my mind.

So I've mostly only explored the Lake Tower Region and today decided to venture in to Central Hyrule. Encountered my first Guardians in teh wild. Managed to kill 2 and decided to heard towards the castle but got killed by another one and decided to heard back to dueling peaks to finally carry on the main story and head towards Kakariko village. I've been rocking the same low defence clothes since the start.

15-20 hours in and i've barely done anything except walk round, collect korok seeds (up to 47 I think) and look at the scenery! Oh, beat a Hinox too, got a nice sword and bow from around his neck in the process!

FYI, these aren't great ways to list out the topics of your spoilers but I'll answer them to the extent I can:

1) Don't know that one.

2)
Nebb is one of the kids running around the main part of the town.

3)
You have to sneak up behind the object they're standing next to in order listen to their gossip.

4) Don't know.

The second one.

Sneak up on them. Alternatively you can run at them really fast (or even paraglide towards them), but they'll likely get away if you try and bum rush them.

Overall I do agree there could be more enemy types but with that said there is more depth to these enemies then there have been with past enemies. I'd easily say these are the best versions of these enemy types in the series to date.

I think I would notice the bigger variety if encounters were designed to feature different kinds of them. But usually it's a little bokoblin camp, maybe with a Moblin, but everything else is generally set groups.

But eh. You're right that the enemies themselves are the best versions of themselves.

Wait... so you can keep playing after you "finish the game"? Without spoilers can you describe how this is handled? Can i simply beat Gannon and keep playing? If so that's awesome!

I appreciate the reply, thank you.

The framerate is so bad in areas with a lot of plants and trees. It's better undocked, but still chugs a little in areas with a lot of plants.

This game is absolute flames and has become addicting. Nintendo did not disappoint with this one (rarely do they ever) but the quality is there.

Beat the game :)

Did I miss something?

I heard there was a boss rush. Where is it? I just fought Ganon.

Also, are there multiple endings? Something was said during the one I saw that made me think that there could be another.

Every dungeon boss you didn't defeat yet shows up to fight you when you reach the Sanctum in Hyrule Castle. So if you go straight to Ganon without clearing any dungeons you have to fight 5 bosses back to back.

so.. i followed the meteorite that falls sometime during the night.. but once I reached it nothing happened.. there's also to say that the first light of the morning was starting to show.. so maybe I was unlucky and he disappeared on its own just as I was going to get to it?

Yeah, same thing happened to me.

So I guess I better just save the hylian shield and master sword for Ganon since they both can break.
I was super disappointed to find this out.
MS makes the final encounter a lot simpler, but I thought they'd finally have a way to make the legendary sword feel really premium, due to the durability mechanic. But no, they threw away that opportunity and let it be a mediocre weapon that breaks every few minutes, unless you're in the castle.

Shield is weird too. It has such high durability, it might as well not break. I guess that helps validate the town sidequest, but I still just really wish it couldn't break at all.

I used the Flame Rod in the middle of a battle in a Thunderstorm on a grassy field by a forest and I think I broke the Framerate so bad it just wrapped all the way back around to 60fps.

I had one land about 20 feet in front of me whilst at the very top of the dual peaks near the start, they just disappear :(
