Last night I did a shrine featuring metal barrels and cubes that had to be used to connect and break circuits, and it has stuck with me. I don't recall a similar puzzle in past Zeldas. I thought it was great, and I hope there are more like it, and I hope they are more complex.

Maybe I am missing something obvious but is there a way to save screen shots for the game (on Wii U)? Is there an in-game camera that you have to find first?

Any idea where i can find lots of swift violet? I can find them but they're very rare, even with the radar it's pretty painful to find them (always on a cliff side)

i need 45 of them, it takes so much time!

Need Help!!!!

I'm on
Eventide
Island and I'm stuck.

I kill the hinox and cleared both camps, and was able to put to of the orbs in the pedastals, but the third orb I lost while I was wading through quicksand (thought it was water) Now there is no orb anywhere and I can't finish the trial. Do i have to wait until a blood moon or something?

You should be able to select the side mission on your Adventure Log and the waypoint will update to her new location, i think? Otherwise just look around on the outer walkways/catwalks of the Domain.

Yes thank you. I didn't realise you could drop an icon for a side quest, what an idiot!

Just start over.

how did you start this quest? i just taked to the little girl talking about sending a message, but didn't have a sidequest tied to it! Guess i need to find a bottle in the river, but where it is?

To save you from a wild goose chase:
Don't go looking for the bottle til you see her throw it in the river herself. Once you progress with other stuff, you'll be directed to where she's prepping to do so.

So I'm pretty sure I'm exactly at a place where there should be a memory, but where is it? I haven't found one yet, do you have to activate the tower in the area?
You don't have to activate the tower. I found a memory in an uncharted zone. The memory will appear as a yellow glow that you have to activate by pressing A next to it.

I believe the Blood Moon spawns when you have killed a certain population of enemies. Since the function of the Blood Moon is to respawn enemies you have eliminated from the overworld, it could be you haven't killed enough monsters to necessitate one.

There has to be a way to control this though else that's way too random since you won't notice it's a Blood Moon until it's happening

I stumbled upon the path to
Zora's Domain. The trek up Zora's River was astounding! It made Zora's River from Ocarina of Time feel like a five second walk. It was pretty too, but I couldn't really enjoy it because I was constantly under attack from electricity. Zora's Domain however I took my time and enjoyed. It's surreal seeing a familiar location like that in such a new light.

Amiibo really went up. Got the 30th anniversary ones just in time, but I passed on 3-4 of the WW 2 pack and when I went back the next day to grab one, all of them were gone with other amiibo thrown everywhere. :(

There's a guy at the stable on the way to Kakariko that tells you if it will be a blood moon that night. I don't know if talking to him also affects the chance of one occurring or not, though.

You could basically just pretend play this entire game as Sheik using the amiibo hood and the sheikah clothes :(

It pretty much is the best amiibo costume, at least as far as fitting in with the rest of the game's default gear
I mean, the amiibo itself has a cracking attention to detail. Usually the molds can't get the human faces right (see: Link and Zelda) but Sheik has his covered!

Funny, first Bloodmoon happened to me just seconds after I talked that one guy.

I think it was a coincidence

It's been a while since I last wrote in this topic.

I just want t osay that this game is GOOD.

pros: everything.
cons: the photo stuff should have been with the binocular stuff on the right stick.

"I don't play as Sheik in Smash, and pfft, what could they possibly offer as an unlockable using the Sheik amiibo. It's a one off character from Ocarina of Time! I don't need to get this one"

Me, a year ago when Sheik was like 8 dollars on Amazon

Based on all the amiibo offerings, what would be the best one for farming rupees? I was looking at the Guardian one and thinking that one maybe drops the most valuable stuff?

I've been playing this game 3 hours everyday since it came out... it's so beautiful. The best part is that I haven't leave the Great Plateau yet!! I still continue exploring and finding secrets and stuff, especially to familiarize myself with the controls on the combat to be ready once I leave this place. I'm still amazed at the amount of stuff you can find and do just on this part wich is still the introductory part, almost a week since the game came out and I'm still there and enjoying every minute of it, it's amazing.

I really want to get a smash zelda amiibo for the twilight bow since it apparently fires in a straight line forever and uses no ammo since it shoots light arrows.

But Ocarina of Time's the best
Zelda design.
:)

That sounds like the single most broken amiibo unlock in the entire game if that's true. The rest of the weapons are just reskins of mid/upper tier weapons as far as I can tell.

I might save-scum tonight when scanning her to see.

Question about shrines:

Is there a systematic way to find all the shrines? I understand the Sheikah slate beeps when you're near a shrine, but let's say I'm going for 100% completion... how do I know I haven't missed some shrines in a particular region? Especially the hidden ones that requires quests. Do I need to keep just running around hoping to find stuff?

Basically I'm asking whether I should use an online shrine map, or whether there'll eventually be a game mechanic to direct me towards missed shrines.

Anyone have guidance on this question?

Yep even without the unlimited arrows having a bow with no bullet drop sounds ridiculously broken.

You're a beautiful Spaceghost and I love you.

Haha I try :p

Did it work out for you / did the steps make sense?

It actually made me wonder if they still have the legend that a male gerudo is born every hundred years.

But this mission has you have to be on top of the shrine portal with a certain outfit during a Blood Moon. It doesn't make sense

I'm not sure then. Couldn't you fast-travel to the shrine when the Blood Moon begins? I haven't found this quest yet, so I don't have any idea what I'm talking about.

Zelda BOTW, she'll drop various rare gems.

This happens to be the one I ordered... That rules.

Ran around the first divine beast dungeon that you're kind of pointed towards for a few hours last night and the day before really frustrated. Didn't realize you have to grab the initial thing that's just under your nose the whole time before the dungeon makes any sense. Oh, and ice blocks.

Went from fuck this game to ohhhhhh I'm a dumbass.

Made myself laugh entering the mountain dungeon:

"Seems pretty linear. After the camel this'll be a breeze. EASY PEASY LEMON SQUEE--"

*the lights turn off.*

"Well now."

There isn't any "give me all the shrine locations" thing, but I would recommend not looking up a map until you're completely sure that you've exhausted your own exploration abilities. I found 103 of the shrines on my own and it's really fun to just wander the map. Gonna take one more crack at shrine hunting tonight before looking up a map myself.
