Guys, If you beat at least 2 dungeons, do yourself a favor and get into Hyrule Castle and attempt to get to the end of it. It was super fun when I did it and the loot was insane.

man this game is good. I'm probably like 30-35 hours in and it still manages to surprise me in amazing ways. figured out one of kass's riddles and explored Lanayru Mountain. good stuff.

OOOOHHHH SHIT so I can
go get a new one
?!

Thaaank you!!

you'll need
diamond, 5 flint and a zora spear

Location of weapon needed nearby:
in the sleeping beds of the kids, room directly under the throne room there is one underwater. Turn on your magnetism and you'll see it

The rest you just have to have.

Nah.
Heading there for the side quests and memory was cool but I want to save my first confrontation with Ganon to be after I beat all the dungeons and get the Master Sword.

It means you're in conditions that can cause them to be a lightning hazard if you equip them. So.. Don't (unless that's what you want -- it can be fun throwing a sparking weapon at an enemy and getting lightning to strike them)

No I've seen the lightning animation on weapons. This is happening even on wooden bows and other stuff. It's like a gleaming symbol. Not sure if that means the weapon is fully durable?

The quest starts when you find the sword. Until then, people only allude to the possibility of its existence. You should watch the trailer again for a hint at where it is located.

the game actually throws you a curve ball by making some npc feed you false information on the location of the sword

speaking of swords, i found
an enormous rock master sword on the top of a mountain
,no idea why it's there

Special pond location </3:

I stumbled upon a heart shaped pond at the top of a hill with an NPC called Mimos next to it. He talks about how this is a place where you could meet your special someone. Anyhow, I didn't think much of it and went on to do a shrine nearby but after exiting the shrine, I thought to myself, wait a minute, maybe I should visit the pond with just half a heart? And so I "bombed myself" down to half a heart and went back there, and three fairies were there waiting. Is this all there is to it? Or do the fairies always appear at a certain time of day regardless of your hp?

EVENTIDE ISLAND. :0

I knew the references to Link's Awakening on the map meant I was in for the best area.

I died though---guess you have to do it in one go? The easiest part I did was the Hinox, if you take the metal box with Magnesis you can just have him walk into it lol.

Two dungeons down now, Zora and Rito. Before I tackle the last two gonna finish the last two map pieces, and do some sidequests for awhile.

I just beat that trial after about five attempts. Putting all my shrine orbs into stamina finally bit me in the butt as nearly every attack one-shotted me, but it felt so good to finally beat it. If you die at all you have to start way back, which is possibly the first truly annoying thing I've encountered in the game.

If you want advice for it:

1.
You can glide from the little moblin camp right onto the Hinox's chest and steal the orb before he wakes up. He'll chase you but you're faster. Wipe out the moblins first so you can get the orb into the base quickly and move on. Also, apparently Hinoxes can grab trees and attack you with them King Kong style.
2.
The upper camp you need to use stasis on the metal over the orb rest. This is the hardest one due to the stronger enemies that can one shot you quick if your low on hearts.
3.
To get the final orb onto the island just use the ice pillars. I kept trying to make a bridge out of trees like an idiot until I remembered that rune existed.

Nah.

The fun part for me was, after sneaking around guardians all over hyrule field and castle, was the (this only happens if you dont clear all the beasts)
boss rush you are locked into.

South of Lake Hylia (Cora Lake), there's a grassy area with an X formation of rocks. Anyone have any idea what this is about?

http://imgur.com/a/nVSF9 (picture of rock formation)

Edit: Figured it out!

Looks like a
Korok
puzzle. There's one by Castle Town that's similar, just
move a rock into the spot on the upper left that looks like its missing a rock and it should solve it,
I assume.

OMFG did you guys know you can steal from
The hinox without killing them or even waking them up? Stealth into his hand. He will reach up to scratch his belly: and you can then take what's on his necklace.

Found out by
taking a ball off his necklace in the middle of a pitch Black Forest for a Shrine

THIS GAME!!!!!!!

The strategy guide confirms my suspicion; each quarter heart represent 1 hp and each point of defense substracts directly from the incoming damage. So if a bokoblin swings a 12 attack spiked club at you it deals 3 hearts of damage. If you have 6 defense it will deal a heart and a half. This means that 4 armor is effectively 1 heart container from a single attack's perspective (it's actually worth more much than one container), and the more armor you have the more valuable each additional point of armor is (increasing returns).

Once you get the
Master Sword
can you re assign your heart containers into stamina upgrades? I know there's a place to pray to do it. I just don't know if it'll break the
sword
. I'd rather have stamina then hearts..

You can actually just paraglide onto his stomach. I climbed those bone things and did that.

A star was added to your savegame because you finished the game. They also added Completion Percentage to the sheika slate. Im currently at like 20%, game is too big.

Oh shit, that's cool to know. What does it actually do, though? To play a starred save file?

I didnt know that but I
managed to make the orb fall into the ground in the middle of battle, that made me think there was a way.

Besides the % and the pictures you can buy, I really dont know.

Lmao. I'm only walking around with 6 Rupees but I'm quickly realizing that everything is overpriced..... and man... nothing worse when you're fighting an enemy and outta nowhere... you get killed.

I love the variety of reaching/unearthing some of the shrines. I have finished something around 60 and some of the things that stuck to be were:
- Eventide Island
- Thyphlo Ruins
- The Labyrinth
- Coliseum-like thing within the Gerudo region
- That one shrine where a Goron blocks its way and asks you to do good in his mini-game.
- Skull Lake

There's this small island on the left side of the Lost Woods that trolled me hard. This game has some scary moments for sure lol.

Does that island do anything? when I went there was nothing.

Yes you can i returned my hearts to 7 again after that event. It works normally still

It won't be long before you have plenty of rupees and little to buy.

This game continues to be light years ahead of anything the rest of the industry produces, mechanics/systems wise. It's nuts. I know devs love to tout their 'living, breathing world' shtick, but I think this game went and did it.

Question about the Gerudo arc:
Has anyone tried to enter the Yiga Clan hideout from the north? I'm wondering if you'd be able to skip the stealth mission and go straight to Master Kohga by doing that

I spent about an hour and a half trekking to and then figuring out how to traverse a tower in the far northeast. I ran into so much shit I didn't even know was in the game. The hardest part was at the tower. Three black bokoblins that could one shot me guarded it, and the whole area is covered in this poisonous purple stuff.

I went from so many angles, dying so many times, until I found an absolute sliver of a broken arch that the purple stuff wasn't covering to inch up. From there I glided above the stuff covering the tower and synced up. I still can't tell if they designed it to be that thin of a margin you squeak by, or if I cheated it and really you're supposed to have a lot more armor/hearts. Either way it was really fun to figure out.

I'm sure someone is gonna say there was an easier way but idc. It was an adventure.

I'm thinking yes. but I already did it stealth style.
