Spring of wisdom sidequest... This game rewards you so much for exploring. What a great sidequest that was. I usually get bored of open world games after 20-30 hours, but nope... Still having a blast!

I stumbled upon it totally by accident. Was an amazing experience to see that all of a sudden.

Kind of wish they didn't tell you exactly where the 4 main objectives are located. It ruins the fun of coming across it on your own. The NPC's near seem to tip you off anyways.
Once you turn them off you will forget where they were cause the map is huge lol
Happened to me.

I stumbled upon a prince for one of the races while I was searching all over for korok forest to find that fucking guy, hestu.

I don't understand the hate for Zelda's VA. I mean, it's not amazing, but not any worse than any other game I've played.

One looks like a castle, I'm pretty sure this is obviously inside Hyrule castle. The other is just showing a forest path and a lot of trees around. There are like no landmarks in the picture I can go off of, like the other ones. I've tried just going off the trees in the picture and then going to forest's on the map that have those kinda of trees, but haven't had any luck.

There's a guy at various stables who will give you hints. I found one in a forest because he told me where to look. I now look for him at every stable I find because his hints are so good.

Someone help me... I can't find the
eighth Gerudo legend or whatever it's called
for the sandshoe quest.
I've been EVERYWHERE in the Highlands.

I would have preferred JP VA just because the cutscene direction and dialogue feels very Japanese. Memory spoiler
Zelda geeking out over bugs was the most anime thing ever and British Zelda made it super awkward
but the voices themselves aren't that bad. I love Revali's. Someone mentioned earlier that Revali is voiced by Travis Touchdown? Hilarious if so. Best champion btw.

Dude you don't know that, we haven't seen the DLC yet.

They should add a memory picture that's just a snapshot of an E3 conference and this plays when you find the memory spot.

Sometimes it's actually pretty good... but other times it's very bad.

OK.... (ง'̀-'́)ง

Consider the standard of quality for VA in games, it's gone WAYYYY up in the past decade. Zelda has an incredibly fake accent.

Is this bit in the actual game?

I can't say, but I've definitely had moments just like that. Two guardians on my ass and one drone thing above. Shit was intense. My horse and I managed to get away. One of the most epic moments I've had in a game.

Mipha's is worse.

But I've played the original Baten Kaitos, nothing beats those terrible voices, so everything for me is a step up!

I wouldn't mind one that saves your ingredients from what you've already figured out, but hell no to one that gives it away simply based on what you have. If anything, cooking could use more depth. I hate that people are always trying to dumb down games nowadays.

All things considering, it seems like cooking has a pretty easy flowchart: read the ingredient, if you like the buff and want a higher version of it (like defense ++ or whatever), find another ingredient that has the same buff, don't mix buffs.

I mostly don't care what food I get in the end as long as it's not dubious and has the buff from the ingredient I chose.

If anything, I'm more annoyed by the inventory management aspect of it where it's hard to find a piece of material that has the thing I want without rereading everything... and quick cook would be nice (which is what the theoretical recipe book would do), but it's not something that would necessarily increase the depth (more of a way of streamlining something that gets kinda tedious after a while).

Good post, I agree with that a lot.

I pretty much have a ton of endgame weapons on me, but I have like 1 or 2 slots reserved for area-specific weapons that I use to kill random encounters.

I would hope that people are expanding their weapon slots so that you can actually do this :v

(didn't do this until post-game and it got annoying to have to discard cool weapons at one point so I kind of understand the complaint, but it's my fault for not immediately finding the dude that gives you this upgrade lol)

Yea his hints are really helpful, But I've discovered the whole map and I'm pretty sure I have discovered every stable. I can't find the guy at all now that I only have 2 memories left to get. Spent awhile last night just warping to every stable I have and still couldn't find him.

The voice acting as a whole is hit or miss for me. So far, I HATED Mipha's voice actress, but was pleasantly surprised by Revali's. Zelda's VA is kind of emblematic of this whole problem, because in certain scenes she'll sound find to me, good even. Yet in others, she sounds almost as bad as Mipha. My suspicion is that this is a director problem, moreso than an actor one.

It really baffles my mind - can't anyone at Nintendo tell that Zelda (and few other characters which I came across so far) are fucking awful?? They need to fire their voice director.
It happens with a lot of Japanese to English actors. I gotta assume it's someone without English as their first language making decisions

I'm missing a hammer right now, but yeah I tend to keep a torch, korok leaf, axe and hammer with me at all times.
Don't waste space with torch and leaf. You can cut a tree and get both of those. Or you can sub torch with fire arrow - take the bow and arrow out and go near what you need to light don't shoot and waste it. Axe, you can forego too because you can bomb a tree down.

Revali is just a poor Falco impression. Should have had a Brooklyn/New Jersey accent.

The game will usually give you a torch and korok leaf if you need it.

Also instead of hammers use bombs.

Using bombs on ores makes it a pain to collect everything. Also,
killing the rock mini bosses is significantly easier with a hammer/2h blunt weapon
.

That arrow trick is awesome, why didn't I ever think of this.

I went back to hammer because you will be hurt when you are on a cliff side and bomb an ore and watch the diamonds plummet thousands of feet below.

My jaw would drop if my horse took a turn like that instead of eating a wall.

Actually seeing that they are riding in a path, he would turn well if you let him do all the controlling (they auto move and turn when in paths). Of course none turn as GOOD as this, but if you let the controls to the horse and just make sure to use A to push him...yeah that scene could work (I escape this way once, was in the path and just ran, horse turn correctly in one of the turns ahead).

I don't understand the logic behind making Revali so obnoxious. Is that personality type seen as more endearing in Japan or something? I just wanted to slap him upside the head.

Voice acting is fine, but would have rather had them use British or Irish voice actors.

My main issue is that zelda and mipha sound like they were away from the mic.
