Injustice 2 Roster Discussion & Speculation Thread

I wonder if John Stewart is the GL at the start of the game and Hal gets sent to help against Brainiac. Otherwise, where the heck is JS?

Oh cool, I'm in the main story.

They've still got a lot of gameplay reveals to come, even if they reveal all of the characters early there's a lot more to show.

Captain Cold looks like Triborg.

ugh I warned everyone they'd do this to him. It's a shame because Black Canary looked pretty classic too. Not as bad as I'd thought at least.

Not really a fan of that design, especially the mask, but I guess they need to allow a lot of costume pieces.

Since John is the lamest lantern and everyone only likes him because of him being the guy in JLA cartoon, I wonder if they'll replace all the cool things hal makes in those scenes with stupid fucking bubbles as the only construct for the skin.

Next week's stream is going to feature two new character breakdowns, including someone "green" who isn't Green Lantern or Green Arrow. I'm guessing it'll be Swamp Thing and Robin.

According to the story, Hal was rehabilitated by Guardians after the first game and allowed to become a GL again and defected from the regime like Barry.

I still wonder why Hal was given such a pass in the first place, though. I mean, Sinestro was drummed out of the Corps in the first place because he was doing a variety of shady things that later ended up being exposed as totalitarian dictatorship. How was that any different from Hal getting a Yellow Ring and helping Superman impose a dictatorship over Earth?

DC sure loves giving Hal these kinds of breaks. I wouldn't be half-surprised if they say the Yellow Ring was "brainwashing him and he had no control of his actions".

Seeing some Robin gear would be cool.
Green could also be Ivy but whoever it'll be, i'm looking forward to the gear and abilities they'll show off

I hope the stream includes Grodd.

Also, starting to get worried about Sinestro. Did Atrocitous or the Guardians kill him? Hal sad he went through "hell", so what happened to Sinestro?

Tyler Lansdown said it's not Ivy. That pretty much leaves Swamp Thing as the only other green character.

Both Hal and John can kick rocks. Will they at least give us a Kyle or Guy skin this time around? I know their dead, but it shouldn't matter.

Because Sinestro tricked him and took advantage of him in a time his will was fading. Still bad but better than say Cyborg who seems 100% in with the Regime without any help(aside from some of his friends dying in the nuke). Years of penance and knowing he did bad things can help Hal.

Harley is pretty much the most mentally challenged Batman villain,
She can potentially be healed/redeemed in Batman's eyes.

The other Justice League members were of sound mind when they were doing what they were.

In the Injustice Earth, Harley has a family and was well aware the Joker didn't care about her and only used her as tool for his plans. She knows what she's did was wrong and still does bad things yet nobody ever brings it up.

Superman's right, Batman did love the Joker. No wonder he gives Harley a chance.

According to the story, Hal was rehabilitated by Guardians after the first game and allowed to become a GL again and defected from the regime like Barry. Harley is still partially responsible for the nuking of Metropolis and the murder of Lois and Jimmy which drove Superman nuts and kicked off the events of Injustice in the first place.

Not to mention Harley has done the pretty bad things in the comics such has threatening to kill Billy Batson's friends.

Qu

It really is, she's been with Joker for years and has gladly done all his orders no matter how heinous.

By US Law anyone who aids and abets a wanted felon can be charged with the same crimes. But the embezzling Richman says she cool so it's all good.

Sinestro and Hal were turned over to the Guardians at the end of Injustice 1. I assume Sinestro is in a science cell like other Green Lantern villains.

That new trailer sure as hell is confusing. Hal Jordan again with Batman? Demian went back to the Robin costume? Tom Taylor recently posted the trailer on Facebook and a few people were wondering why they're regressing with the characters instead of moving forward/doing something new, and he said "everything will make sense". And after what he accomplished with Injustice 1-2 and half year 3, I can say that I trust this guy a LOT. Let's keep in mind that the new comic book series is a precuel to the new game, so we'll get our answers there. CAN'T FREAKING WAIT.

Hal wants to make amends for his atrocities, same as Barry. Damian probably doesn't want the mantle of dick grayson anymore.

I'm far too excited for the prequel comic series. I can't wait to see what happened in between the first and second game. I'm happy to see Hal Jordan seeking redemption for his crimes; redemption has played a big role in motivating his actions within the comics. I hope we see him head down that road in the prequel. Hal is a better hero than villain and I'm confident he is in capable hands under Taylor's pen.

I love that we're seeing Harley and Diana's friendship in game. Harley had some great moments with both Ollie and Diana in the original prequel series.

I can totally see Barry on Batman's team again since he always was kinda insecure about Superman and in Year 5 we saw those feelings get bigger to the point he betrays Clark by saving Bruce's life.
Hal on the other hand...not so much. I mean, he felt guilty for a lot of crap he was involved in but that side of the character wasn't quite developed (thanks Buccellato). But I'm sure after a few numbers of the new comic book I'll change my mind. Like I said, I have total faith in Tom fucking Taylor
(that sounded weird)
And I really loved that Demian went full douche and decided to wear Dick's uniform. Maybe he wen't back to the Robin costume in a desperate attempt to regain Bruce's love? In the trailer we see them togheter going somewhere (and they weren't fighting so...maybe a truce?)

The whole Hal arc was FANTASTIC (well...pretty much every character was really well developed)...until that criminal named Brian Buccellato came along and fucking ruined everything. The whole war between the Sinestro Corps and the Green Lanterns was far too amazing. And I agree, he is a better hero than a villain and I think that's because he doesn't have strong motivations to be one. Yes, he was on Superman's side because he believed in his cause but because of that, a whole bunch of fellow Lanterns died (not to mention close alies like Ollie, Dinah...) and in that moment he was filled with regret. I can see him seeking redemption for everything he'd done.
Harley Quinn was easily one of the best characters in the comics. Taylor said that she is by far his favorite character to write and that makes me so damn happy 'cause I really loved his arc. And like you said, she had great moments with Ollie and Dinah. Can't wait to see that reunion in the comics!

Oh god, it just struck me that Cold will probably have a move where he freezes a spot on the ground and makes you slip like the MKX Test Your Luck modifier.

I see a lot of ice weaponry on his person, stuff like grenades.

I think he'll take a lot of inspiration from Cyber Sub Zero for his moveset.
