My wife really likes the adventuring and collecting aspects of this game and has enjoyed watching me play, which is very unusual for a video game.

She's been at home and apparently she tried to pick up the game herself. Here's the text message:

I love this!

Ahaha this is awesome.

This really is a great game to watch somebody else play

Zelda stands out as probably the worst voice here, but I've heard worse in other games. Some characters sound quite good to me. Still, this game would have definitely benefited from Kid Icarus-tier voice acting.

Well I solved my money (Rupee) problem. Found a guy on a snowy mountain, near Hebra Tower (top left of map) who charges 20 rupees to play 10 pin bowling with a giant snowball and a strike = 300 rupees, a spare = 100 and 9 pins = 50. You can do it as many times as you like too.

Just have warm clothing and maybe some cold resistance meals handy.

Is there some sort of technique to getting a strike? I can't even push this boulder it just rolls backwards.

Stuck at work now, and I just watched the 2 trailers of BotW.

I have played over 30hr but they still hype me. And I only beated 1 "real" dungeon so far.

And I just read it gets exponentially better near the end.

This game.

Zelda's voice sucks though, how can I change to spanish

Voice acting is really hit or miss, some of them are actually pretty good. The problem is when its bad it stands out more and sticks in the back of your mind more. Zelda and Mipha I think struggle from their actresses trying to sound too princessy and not natural enough. I'm glad Zelda finally took the leap to voice acting but yeah there is plenty of room for improvement in the future.

I climbed up the walls because I was searching for a memory location, didn't notice I was already at the very top, climbed through a window and bam, boss fight lol.
I did exactly the same thing and that was before I'd tackled the fourth beast, better believe I reloaded as fast as possible.

Aw helllllllllllll naw. I was scanning amiibo since it was raining on a rocky slope and I chased after a rolling chest, when I came back to the summon spot, a mountain goat fucking ate half my fish!

Do you get any pointers to which guardian you should take on second? I did the first one but I can't decide which to take on second and no NPCs are helping me.

One of my favourite things about this game is how an anecdote like this somehow manages to only help bolster its greatness.

Just completed the game, Switch says "Over 50 hours played" and my percentage was... 17.85%. Wow, shit. This game is HUGE.

Sounds like Mountain Goat is back on the menu, boys.

First dungeon completed, I loved the journey to the Zora Domain.

Someone was asking about a good place to stock up on/farm arrows, the way to Zora is a good place for it.

Could someone be so kind and pinpoint me to
the spring of love
? I found it once and know it's somewhere in the mountais by
Hateno
, but can't relly find it anymore :/

Just had a small revelation:

The Master Sword doesn't light up against Guardians you encounter in Shrines because those guardians, even though they're hostile, have never been corrupted by Ganon.

Should have been obvious, but somehow I didn't notice until now.

Like... puzzle wise or just atmosphere/art direction? Also really hoping the final boss is great.

There is one thing that happens if you get to the last boss without defeating all the beast and that was the awesome part for me:
you get a boss rush vs all the divine besst bosses you disdnt beat before you can fight ganon.

Tired of summoning the Zelda BOTW amiibo again and again for a Star Fragment or the Hyrule Shield... (Summon, open chest, loading... summon, open chest, loading...)

Any tips to get Star Fragments?? Should I wait on a certain spot at night... Or I should teleport from tower to tower at night just looking around for a falling star?

General spoilers, nothing specific

Atmosphere and music are top fucking notch. It isn't a traditional dungeon, either. You're essentially tasked with breaching the castle however you want, and there are a ton of ways to do it. It's a fitting end, considering the game's freeform nature.

Yeah heard about that. Was hoping that Hyrule Castle would be a dungeon proper but probably not :(

Is the inside of the castle
a large explorable space with many rooms
and whatnot?

So I'm wearing my quilted doublet and I'm still freezing - is there any other outfit I can buy to remedy this without having to concoct potions and elixirs?

I bought the three-piece set from Rito village and haven't been cold since!

Yes, and there are a ton of entrances and exits to weave in and out of. The level design is pretty remarkable.

This makes me very happy. I already heard the music a few weeks ago and it's freaking awesome.

Reposting for a new page because I really want an answer to this but don't want to look up a guide:

Can anyone give me a clear, guided solution to where the shrine is:

Just east of Mount Drena which itself is east of Hyrule Forest. The big canyon seperating the grasslands and the ice area.

There's where I am, and I have 0 clue whatsoever as to where the thing is.

If you can do this for me I will be forever grateful.
