OT 2 and I feel I've barely scratched the surface of the actual game lol

This is crazy

I have poured over 40hrs ( enough to 100% any Zelda game before) and I've haven't seen shit. I only beated a dungeon and half the map is still in the dark.

I am still afraid to venture in this kind of thread, since there are too much shit I still haven't seen.

Playing this game with no hud is an amazing experience, gotten lost a few times but stumbled into something pretty interesting along the way.

Look at the style of trees and the mountain in the background. Such an area could maybe be found
directly north of the northeastern shrine on the Great Plateau
. Look for a glowing spot.

When looking at those photos I probably have to take into account that these from 100 years ago, right? So that small tower/ruin structure in the middle of the picture could be gone now? Can't believe I can't find this. Maybe I need to unlock more of the map.

The Lost
Forest
? More like the Lost Frames.

Where are all these frames disappearing to? And I'm playing on the Switch in handheld mode.

I still have 2 ???? in my Special Skills or whatever it's called in Options menu, and I just got my first
Divine Beast Ruta
conquered, have I missed something? If yes, I'd appreciate a pic of that menu with all skills unlocked to see what I have missed later.

Quoting myself in hopes of answer.

So I beat the game last week, and wanted to start over and take a more laid back approach. I know there's no NG+ at this time, so I started with an alternative account. However, that's bullcrap. If I 100% this, I want it on my main. If I overwrite my save, will the game still remember that I beat it? I know its tracking that with the little star next to the save right now.

I don't want to just continue that save where I rushed everything.

Things like the towers and enemy camps would not show on the photos. This one in particular is pretty much identical.

In terms of comfy open landscape adventuring where I feel compelled to effortlessly lose hours into aimless wandering, just to see what I'll stumble across, Breath of the Wild might make up my holy trinity alongside The Witcher 3 and Morrowind.

That one guy in Zora village is the best! I already have 20 diamonds because of him :D (Even though I still have no use for them right now, but I guess it's better to keep them for later when I might need them for upgrades)

So what was everyone's way of solving the puzzle before the Thunder Plateau shrine? Because I'm not sure if I did the way you're supposed to.

I just smacked the orbs with the help of stasis and sheer sword power onto plateau.
After trying for 1h to smack them from some crates I stacked,

I used octo balloons and the leaf to transport them over a low edge

I wish I hadn't given him all of my luminous ore. I want my
Skullomania
outfit damn it!

Where do you find them
There's an abandoned Colosseum near Hyrule Field that initially housed a white Lynel. After I beat it a blood moon replaced it with a Silver one. There's other White Lynels in the northeastern mountain areas, but since my Cold gear isn't upgraded particulary well I avoid those.

Ok. I am at that muddy water spot on the great plateau and it also has that grassy upwards thing but this doesn't seem to be it.
It's not ON the Great Plateau. But it is pretty close. Directly north, but off the edge, of the northeastern Shrine on the plateau. Look near a lake there.

I hope this is a game Nintendo keeps breathing new life into with substantial dlc. I'll be sad when I'm finished

I'd rather a sequel on this engine in 2 or 3 years that fixes a lot of the problems that Breath of the Wild has instead of more DLC after the two announced packs.

I love how link can be an asshole in some sidequests, like
the one outstide the gerudo city, with the guy trying to hit on you when you're dressed like a girl....

-give me your boots...
- huh... okay, but i'll with not have anything to wear
-give them....
- ok sure, do you think after that we could...
- just no way!

not sure if the dialogue is the same in english

Are they marked on the map? I've only just found one that is, but I'm pretty early in the game.

No but they are always near
a shrine
so if you take a few seconds after
completing one
you should find most of them. It also helps to do town side quests.

What does everyone think the DLC might contain? Find any areas that look like they'll be used in a story dlc?

Any speculation on the hard mode? I'm hoping it might introduce new mechanics like stripping fast travel out, or making all the shrines more difficult. I've tried playing without fast travel and it makes it really feel like you're living out in the wilderness.

Haven't played the game and won't until there's at least one more game I need a Switch for (I didn't have a wiiu so I'm hoping for a Bayonetta 2 port).

95% of this game sounds amazing but what I've heard about the dungeons doesn't sound great (that they're small and repetitive) but that's always been one of my favourite elements of Zelda. How true is this?

Found it. Was indeed slightly outside of the map. This is great stuff. The third picture seems to be here as well but I am not sure. It's probably good to see where that airship is and go from there.

Is it best to find the
memories
by order if that's even possible or shouldn't this matter?

Also that blue outfit in
The memories, it's the one from the very first video.
where can I get that? Been wanting it for a while now.

Oops double post. Thought this thread was gonna move ahead of me, haha.

Impa gives it to you after you see your first memory.

The one dungeon I played was terrible. I don't get the feeling the others will be much better.

I do detest that every game is turned into a soulborne game. There is absolutely no reason for Zelda to have one hit death bosses in the first dungeon.
waterblight ganon

Bit of a late reply but the game expects you to do Shrines along the way to get hearts. If you have enough hearts then you wont get OHK by any boss. Since the dungeons are not ordered and can be done whenever you want, then the first one is always gonna be the hardest one.

Another thing I think this game does really well - it's pretty funny. The voice acting is middling, but the localization is great. It has character to it but it's not trying too hard. I've had a few Portal 2-esque chuckles at dialogue throughout the game.

Just put them as target for your Shiekah sensor and spawn on the tower near
Hyrule Castle
, the sensor does the rest for you. That's about...8-10 guardians per run?

After those are all dead you should redo all your
Major Tests of Strength
, those Nano-Bots also drop the item you seek and as a bonus you get weapons you can use on the Guardians.

Just went through the official guide... there are not that many
Major Tests of Strength
maybe
3 or 4
total.

So I met one korok seed puzzle(?) that
you need to put stone into the hole on the hill
, how is this possible?

Another question, I set shiekah slate to search for treasure box, and it lead me to
old man's hunt
, but I can't find anything in there. Is it a bug?

I just realized that you can save scum to try to get a blood moon.

And also you can avoid a blood moon by always going to sleep before midnight.
