Cant figure out hoq to climb this tower at all. It's covered with purple shit and there's no path up. I've looked all around and I cant find anything to kill to get rid of the purple stuff either. I've been looking around for half an hour now.

Edit:YAY I JUST FIGURED IT OUT!

Yo that Korok trial is bullshit. Thought well I guess I'll just save scum it but nope. Apparently it's the one thing Nintendo explicitly didn't want you to savescum.

Well 85 hours later I finally finished breath of the wild
My god what an absolutely incredible game.

Final fight spoilers:
The final blow felt so bad ass, I made 1 pass and missed, made a second pass and missed, then zelda said something like "WE ARE SO CLOSE!" and I made a final pass but instead of taking a shot a jumped off the horse and made the final shot in slow mo and it was dead on. That felt so FUCKING GOOD

Man these blood moons are getting ridiculous. Today I was climbing mt Lanaryu and I got 3 in a row. Then a few minutes passed, then a fourth! This has to be a bug right? I hope they can patch their frequency or something. And make it rain less often.

Also my playtime still isn't logged on the Switch, still says 'first played 7 days ago'. It was said that'd change to playtime after a week but that hasn't happened to me.

That moment when you accidently restart the game and now blood moons are no longer glitched :(

As much as I hated it when I was exploring - it was a godsend when it comes to upgrading armor to Lv. 4.

So I'm at death mountain
and I'm at the part where I'm looking for the goron and I found him behind a wall but can't find a way to bust through. I thought firing a canon at it would work but none of the canons are aimed at it doesn't seem like there's a way to change their aim.

Is it the one to the west of the castle, with the Gerudo highlands to the south and Hebra to the north?
Climb the towers around it and paraglide over the goop.

It took a long time, but I found something that annoys me in this game. It's probably just this isolated section but the mandatory
stealth section
in the Gerudo questline is annoying.

It'd probably have frustrated me less if they didn't make it painfully clear that there's only one way to do this and if I can think of something that might break it, the answer is "no." Like, there's a bunch of
bananas
to use to distract the enemies. There's even a room full of the things. But you are actually not allowed to hold them from your inventory. It actually says "you can't hold that here" because it'll break their set puzzle. Just, sigh. The game consistently rewards experimentation, so for it to go, there is only one way to do this and you're going to do it, even if it's only here, is saddening.

Not helping you. Just think outside the box. You'll enjoy it more.

I think he means the one in
Akkela
, to the very east of the map? The one on top of that castle?

Heh, this stumped me for a bit too.

You can detonate while its still moving. 🤓

Feel free to chastise yourself like I did. 😋

Speaking of level 4 armor, is the highest possible defense mix 88 armor? That's the highest I've been able to put together, and my god I felt absolutely unstoppable (until the final boss lmao)

Finished off the main story and I'm at 26% completion now. Then spent about 4 hours just getting lost around the desert.

I honestly can't remember the last time I've just been able to wonder around a world without getting bored.

I was so disappointed with that second fight. The first fight was great and I wished i had done prior to doing the temples, but i was so hyped for the second form only to realize it was just target shooting.

If it's that one, there's a metal crate I used to make a stepping stone to get to the inner part of the tower area and then again to get to the tower itself. I think I damage boosted at one part, but more because I flubbed the jump.

It's crazy isn't it. I literally love just exploring for the sake of exploring. It's so beautiful to behold the art direction and landscape/geography transitions.

No Open World has ever made me stray from the main quest/story missions until this.

The second fight I never really saw as a fight more like an interactive set piece, the first fight was all that counted for me.

I think so.

32 from Champion Shirt + 2x 28 from Ancient armor?

Yep that's what I was rolling with.

The 3 or 4 I've seen have had voices when the characters talk to each other. I heard there was some glitch for 5.1 speaker set ups though. Not sure if that's only on Wii U or Switch or both.

Do you know how I can fix the glitch. When you say 5.1, do you mean in Wii U settings. Breath of the Wild doesn't have settings for 5.1 speaker. I'm using 5.1 speakers.

So with persona 5 coming out I need to try and finish this before hand. I've not done any dungeons yet and just got to Zora domain. How long do the main quests last. Since around 15 trials and have 6 hearts, still plan on doing any trials I come across however this game is just massive and I just won't have time to do it all :(

Really? I used them in the first room and it did work as a
distraction
but admittedly never tried them in the second room.
I also just got sick of the annoying stealth and ended up cheesing the combat with everyone in the room, so that is doable.

You can just ignore the main quest, get strong by exploring the world and go straight to ganon. You choose when to beat the game I did it with only half of the "main quest" done.

Its hard to tell how many hours it takes because it mostly depends on how much time it takes you to get to the dungeons.

The big guys kept me from trying to kill everyone since they're goddamn tanks. And the only annoying stealth part was the final guy in the last room. I did it "right" eventually, but was just annoyed that I really did have to sneak around.

I'm going to have to reload a save and see if there was something I missed, but that error of not being able to hold here did happen, I'm just wondering if it might have been for some other reason. I didn't use them in the first room because I could sneak by easily. It was the second room where I wanted to lead them around and couldn't.

I need a hint on the last memory picture in the album. The one with all the trees.

Just give me a general area please. I've been to a ton of Stables and Pikango isn't at half of them lol.

I wasn't getting voices in the cutscenes at first because my Wii U was configured to Surround, whereas I did not have that kind of setup. Switched it to Stereo and then it was fine. Maybe that's your problem?

So after 40 hours I just got to my first Divine Beast by chance
Vah Ruta

I wonder is there an order I should tackle them by difficulty?I have 7 hearts and two stamina upgrades.

Is there an easier, more reliable way to make rupees than the gambling trick? My luck has been awful with 10-11 losses in a row several times today, so I'd like to try something else.

There is a stable in the northeast of Central Hyrule, just where it starts becoming forest. Your hint awaits you there.

The hint points you to the forest east of the Bottomless Bog area on the map.

You can take about 3 hits from the boss. The game only really expects you to have healing items and arrows.

i love me this game
See this is why I can't help but feel this is the true Snake Eater successor I've waited for only with Link as the hero. I'm gushing like a child :D :D :D

In
Death Mountain there are about 4 Igneous Talus mini-bosses, usually surrounded by ores to mine. Grab a couple blunt weapons like Iron Hammers and Cobble Crushers from Goron City and just go hunting for them.

They're pretty trivial to kill, just climb up top and just 2h weapon charge attack the ore on top, preemptively stopping at around half health because eventually the enemy will toss you off, dealing a ton of damage. Along with the many ores in the area, you can easily get ~5k from selling the ores and it resets every Bloodmoon. I think there's even an NPC in Gerudo town that will pay a premium for ores but you already get so much from any NPC anyway.
