Okay, can someone convince me that I'm not crazy here? I swear that for most of the game, aiming with the bow wasn't fully first-person even when not targeting an enemy. Yesterday, though, I think I pressed something or did something weird, and now every time I draw my bow it goes into full first person mode which causes my turning while aiming to be a lot slower. Have I just somehow been completely misremembering how aiming works? If not, how do I switch it back to normal?

Sheikah bow goes to first person and zooms in so you can shoot targets from further away more easily. Change your bow and see the difference.

Costume question:

I scanned my Smash Link amiibo and only got the Cap of Twilight, not Epona. How do I get Epona?

Also does anyone have that chart that shows which wearables each amiibo unlocks?

And how do you get the Skyward Sword ones?

Making a fire and wait till next morning or noon. Most of the time the rain is away for me if i do that. That's why i keep a huge amount of wood and flint with me.

There's no way to do that for me because there's no roof, nothing. I already don't see the health bar of the Guardian anymore, I bet he's back at full health again. This is one of those features that adds nothing but frustration. I just don't get it. There should be a line between realism, heh realism in a fantasy game too, and what is fun gameplay.

Didn't expect to manage to reach the very tip top of hyrule castle right after leaving the plateau...after a crazy amount of trial and error. Nice little surprise at the top too.

Does anyone know if there's an inventory limit on armour because I haven't bought some because I'm seeing a limited amount of space and I'm not sure if it expands and you can't use Korok seeds to upgrade that part.

As an aside I upgraded some armour pieces twice at the first fairy in Kakariko and I'm not sure if I got the set bonuses, so do I have to upgrade them again at the second fairy first?

Found a new way to make quick money: go on a hunting trip in the northern region. Lots of animals give you raw gourmet meat there, which you can trade for 100 rupees each with a guy in one of the staples.

I have many, many sets of armor and have yet to run into any issues.

I'm on my third page of armor. I don't think there's a limit.

I know I keep asking, but does anybody know how to reobtain the Forest Dweller items you get from that particular trial? Every item has had a way to reobtain it, even one-off items meant for a quest, but this one isn't apparent and I really want them again.

Is there something about Hyrule Castle and the (weapon)
master sword where it is buffed to 60 damage and seemingly isn't breaking?
. I also have a buffed up Hyrule Set of gear.

Edit: By the way Hyrule Castle is easily the best part of the game so far, makes me long for longer dungeons of similar style again.

Ancient gear and Giant ancient core, for the latter it says a researcher probably knows how to use it. I assume that's
Robbie?
and what to do with ancient gear?

this korok tailing mission is the fucking worst. It randomly turns around a bunch of times and you can barely even see the thing on the screen, so whoops there goes another 5 minutes of boring bullshit.

if you use the tunic you can just track the stupid thing's health bar.

there's only really one bit where he really irritatingly turns around unexpectedly, but it is like a minute from the end of the sequence.

even zelda can't make tailing missions fun

Literally just started and I already can't believe that
Link is a frrrackin Cylon!

Just had my first encounter with Ruta. This game doesn't let up. The entire journey to that point seemed to be a self-contained game on its own. Don't ever let me complain about a delayed Nintendo game again.

In that case i hope they patch it or atleast add a bonus to the climber suit to bypass that rain slipping. Because well if they want realism a bit climbing gear should well let you climb? Even with rain.

It's much more fun when you track the Korok from the flanks. There's no reason to follow directly behind it. You have many paths to the shrine, the Korok only has one.

This game is delightful. Playing it now on the Wii U, which I recently purchased to play this and several exclusives I missed.

I'm sorta at a point where the quests are so open that I'm not entirely sure what to do next. I'm still fairly early on.

I'm at the main quest where
The old lady asks Link to go to the locations from the pictures Zelda took 100 years ago in an effort to regain his memory.
Idk if that made sense, I don't really remember what a lot of the terms are.

Link's default Smash costume on Switch should be the blue champion outfit with ancient arrows as a weapon.

Ew no, not all tradition needs to die.

Link default costume should always be his traditional green tunic, with the champion one as a costume.

Weird Epona was the first thing I got when I scanned Smash Link amiibo, try reloading your save and try again.

Protip; do not do it on the Great Plateau as you will have no way to get to get her down and you can only get Epona once per save file.

Also does anyone have that chart that shows which wearables each amiibo unlocks?

Here you go.

And how do you get the Skyward Sword ones?

You can't at the moment, you will have to wait until the Skyward Sword amiibo get released.

It doesn't give an actual bonus but I've been able to rain climb with the full climbing gear thanks to having over two and a half stamina bars. Climb a bunch and jump before he slips, the jump gets negated but you still make pretty good progress overall.

nananaaaaaaa nananaaaaaa nananaaaaa naaa naaa
naaa naaa naaa na na naaa naaaaaaa naaaaaa na na naaaaa

Best NPC of the game. I love
OOT
so much. does anyone know if
Saria's
song is in the game?

Is there any epic music like Zelda Twilight Princess Hyrule Field in this game?

Hyrule Castle theme for sure.
Also the world boss themes and strong enemy themes.
And the final boss theme well.....

You don't have to worry;) for epic moments the soundtrack is spot on.

I went and found all the
Zora
gear before doing the divine beast in Zora's Domain. But there was like no big water sections in the dungeon! lol. Still pretty awesome that the cap I found seems completely optional but rewards me by having a pretty awesome ability tied behind it. I like that a lot about this game.

On the dungeons, yeah it was pretty short in comparison to the usual affair, but I don't agree at all with the sentiment that they are "bad". I was really impressed actually.
Manipulating a giant mechanical beast from the inside
and solving some smart puzzles totally scratched the itch. I love traditional Zelda dungeons as much as the next person but I've played 100 of them at this point, I'm glad BotW tried something new. The whole sequence leading up to it combined with the actual dungeon was more than satisfying.

That mission is so easy. Just make sure that you are constantly behind an object. And the game has the icon above where you can know his location through walls

I think someone said it above, if you upgrade stamina or use potions you can keep jumping up a surface and make it to the next spot even in the rain. I agree they should add rain gear though

any others have any self imposed rule or anything? like for me I never hunt any animals for meat except boar, occasionally.
