Funny story: Rime and PS4 Tetris aren't on their website but are available in store, and This Is The Police is on the website but not in store.

Also EB Games put up MVC:I on their website if u feel that's important.

Yeah I'd call them, just because I can't remember when the rotation is.
 
Just a heads up to anyone in the Brampton/Mississauga Ontario area. When I did my trade ins tonight the EB guy said they were expecting a Switch shipment for Monday at EB Games inside Bramalea City Centre.

I obviously can't confirm this but it's worth a shot for anyone still looking and I assume that would mean the GTA as well.

This double trade in deal is quite therapeutic. Get to reflect on all the crap purchased over the span of a year. Only 10% of which took 99% of my gaming time. Being able to trade in for something useful is like redemption from a year of mistakes.

Never accumulate junk again.

I was very curious what I would get. Some were a little higher than I expected while others were shockingly lower. I was expecting 10 cents for Gears 2!

Was honestly impressed with how fast EB dude processed my stack of games. In and out in like 5 min.
 
Geeze, what's with you guys giving No_Style a hard time for trading in some cheap games? Not like he can tell the future, and in regards to donations, they probably need consoles more than anything. I doubt they don't have access to under $5 AAA games that 20 copies of can be found in every game store.
 
Welp got my copy of Atelier Firis from Eb games yesterday. Still waiting on them to e-mail me my preorder bonus codes though. The fact that can take up to 5 business days AFTER the game ships out kind of blows though
 
Did anyone here buy an extended warranty at BestBuy for their Switch? I'm thinking about getting one but I can't find the price on their website.

Extended warranties are generally not worth it. They wouldn't be selling them unless they're making money off them. You're better off saving all the money you would spend on all those warranties, earning a little interest on it, and having it as emergency funds on the occasion something breaks. Nintendo has a pretty good track record too.

If you bought it with a credit card, your credit card doubles up the warranty so 1 year turns into 2. No need to buy a warranty, it is a waste. If it is going to break, it will break during the first year.
 
Possible Deals

Email I just received from EB had listings for:

Trade 1 for BotW Season Pass
Trade 1 for Snipperclips

Checked the site but couldn't find listings for it to say what minimum trade in value needed to be.
 
Question regarding EB preorder credits moving:

Let's say I preordered everything at location A. Somehow there's a pro-controller available at location B. Can I cancel my preorders and move the credits toward the controller from location B? Or the purchase has to be done at the original preorder location A?

Should be possible, for store location shouldn't matter against EB as an entity.
I exchanged an Xbox One S at a different EB than the one I bought it at.

For anyone who was looking to trade previous gen games (ie ps3 and 360) at EB trade toward Switch stuff: they no longer receive double trade credit. I checked the website on my PC thinking maybe there was a mobile version showing conflicting information, but sure enough the deal has been changed.

This is quite shitty on their part, especially given that the promotion is on until April 2nd. I know it says in the fine print that they can change their promotions at any time, but it still rubs me the wrong way.

Unfortunately this doesn't work for preorders and trade ins - your credit for preorders is store specific. If you cancel your preorder credit, it goes onto a gift card.

At best you may get a transfer of the controller from location B to location A. Ask the manager.

As for returning items already purchased, sure, you can return to different locations.

I don't work there, so ask in store to be sure. I only say this because I had to get my switch and pro controller, at different locations - and hang onto my trade ins to use at each store.

I finally "returned" and "rebought" my Switch pro controller today at Best Buy so I could use my $20 RZ certificate. I showed up with my empty box and the guy looked at me and then realized what I was doing and he said that was the smartest way he ever saw someone use a RZ certificate.

he must be new, it isn't exactly rocket science lol. The BB account regularly tells people on twitter to do that exact thing, since you can't use them online

Fyi, my friend just traded in Bomberman, and it had a $22 base value. I traded it yesterday for $35. So they are clearly getting a decent amount of copies of that back.

I could be wrong, bit you should be able to bring in your receipt and they'll do it for you. Doesn't hurt to have more proof of purchase though.

Almost never. They have just been doing it for the switch and yesterday for everything. If you missed it just trade towards switch preorders and go back a different day and move it to something you want.
 
Managed to return my extra pre-ordered copy of Zelda + Joycon set to EB Games. Pre-ordered ARMs, Has Been Heroes, and Mario Kart 8. I also cancelled my 1-2 Switch and single Joycon partly paid pre-orders to a gift card. I won't save the tax but I didn't want to deal with transferring even more orders.

I also ordered the Ozrly Switch screen protector + case. It said it shipped a copy days ago but there is no tracking.

Wow, that is crazy. I've been rather selective of my PS4 purchases, so not sure I have anything to trade.

Edit: I take that back. Just went through my collection and pulled out 6 games. Not turds per se, but ones that are cheap now and I'm unlikely to play. Gonna trade towards Switch games to get $20 each. EB is killing it with these deals. I know some want them gone, but I would truly be sad if they go out of business.

This is proving to be hard to do. You'll have to find an EB employee who's new/doesn't know. I was only able to move my Switch preorders thanks to Friday's promo. of course, if you're okay with waiting, you can keep moving your Switch preorders to future Switch games until no one remembers about this Switch trade in deal.
