How did I just realize there are usually magnetic chests near waterfall? I've only activated 4 towers so far but I probably skipped 3 waterfalls without checking for treasures.

I've had to build a habit to use magnesis near every body of water. I missed so many chests early in the game.

I'm convinced there are parts of the game it rains on purpose to stop you from reaching a area quickly. I have a quest to get to a certain place and am on the easter edge near cliffs and it's been raining in game for 18 hours game time. The sun came out and the moon and changed the lighting yet its still raining and the cliff is wet so I can't go where I need.

Its super annoying if thats the case and they don't convey to you a different way you can't get there. Loving the game but sometimes the rain and cliffs make getting around more difficult then it should be. I even have extra stamina and boots that help with climbing but doesn't matter.

If you're in the region just north of Kakariko, that's intentional and gets explained later. You need to find another way around.

sterling's point about durability hits the nail on the fucking head. I was just thinking about how much of a bummer it is last night. I feel like the incentive to find cool gear is gone because it will just fucking break if you use it. With the loss of that incentive, I am a lot less eager to explore the world. I assumed I would unlock an easy way to repair weapons later in the game, but jim's review makes it clear that the repair system is too expensive and inconvenient. Complaints about stamina were also on the money.

Overall I'd say his review mirrors my own thoughts quite well. It's a good, very good game, but not the 10/10 dick-melting masterpiece I was expecting.

Is there some trick behind the "hit 20 targets" horse shooting gallery? I barely manage 12 in time, if i'm lucky :/

I cannot for the life of me beat it either. The trick is to get 15 and then use a bomb arrow on the last 5 targets, but I either run out of time or just can never get that initial 15.

Great :/ I have absolutely no idea how that's even remotely possible lol.

Forget about the Guardians, the climbing, the exploring, the sense of discovery, the physics, the AI, the Runes...

Tarrey Town is secretly the best thing about the game.

It usually feels like Jim and I have similar tastes, but in the case of Zelda and FFXV I think we genuinely played different games lol

It really is, that was such a great sidequest.
Seeing the town come together and the music build up as you bring in more people to live there was done really well.

Regarding the dragons,
they all have a set spawn point at midnight every night. You just have to figure out the general area where they spawn and you should be able to narrow down where each of those are. They won't spawn if you are too close to this area when the clock hits midnight, but that shouldn't be too much of an problem in my experience. Then once you figure the spot out, just camp there around midnight every day (can only get 1 item per night) until you have what you need.

Thanks.

So I
should probably be waiting by the shrine in the skull lake and not the one where the Gorons test you?

Eventide island. How do I get the final ball on its place? I don't have a boat.

What I did was
throw the ball in the water right next to the rocks, then Cryonis it up onto some ice, then climb up and toss it onto the rocks from there.

I am although I'm way over to the east on the coast. Thanks for the info though I'll go back and find another way.. Or I guess I could go for a different one of the 4 quest markers I have right now.

Nothing is more satisfying than getting ancient arrows and going back to every Guardian that killed me before and shooting them in their stupid face.

Got the full climbing set and upgraded it to level 2. Kinda disappointed that the set bonus isn't "Slip less often in the rain", but I'll take what I can get at this point. Dyed it green with white pants, because I figure it'll be my main set for most of the game.

I wonder if I should actually progress the main story or not. Well, maybe after finding all of the memories.

Thanks.

Personally I went a bit west of the goron testing spot because the dragon flies west when it descends from its spawn point so it isn't actually reachable until it's almost north of the goron city and the lava on the map.

I just encountered a centaur monster
after the first memory after unlocking the slate fully, and holy crap he murdered me three times before I turned around. So am I extremely slow I need to go back to Impa for my first reward.

I am the absolute worst at this blocking mechanic... for real when I go to dodge left they hit me, when I do the back flip they jump and hit me, and finally when I shield block I do it too early....

Are there anymore tutorials?

Thanks.

No, the easiest place to reach him is
by the canyon south of Rito/north of the snowy area above Gerudo. It flies down in the canyon so it's easy to shoot him. Funny how it's at the opposite side of the map :P Farosh also spawns nearby so you could go back and forth between them

Durability is just one of the issues regarding exploration not being rewarding enough. Juggling items constantly just to open chests isn't all that fun either.

stamina system works fine me for but I maxed it out early and got gear to help with climbing and swimming so it hasn't been that much of an issue. You can make stamina food super easy too.

So do saddles act as storage boxes? I could really use one.

man, I stayed up entirely too late last night early this morning playing Zelda

did my 3rd divine beast, found all the memories, bout ready to do the 4th and face ganon

really love the story for this game. it's the tried and true zelda, link, ganon formula but with much more depth and some interesting takes along the way.

Guys, I kinda stumbled on final boss sort of out nowhere, and I didn't have time to go back to
Impa
after finding all memories.

Am I missing something? Should I go back or should I just proceed with the boss fight?

I think maybe the ending changes a bit if you go back and do that. Although after you beat it, the game just sets you back to before the fight anyways so you can go and do the other things you wanted then fight it again after to see changes if there are any.

What weapon are they holding? Also never start a fight with a Lynel, let them pull their weapons first, otherwise they'll shoot you with an arrow before you get close.
