Can I ask for opinions on how best to proceed through the Memories mission? Not looking for any spoilers whatsoever but would people suggest I track down the 12 locations in order to get the story told chronologically or is it more fun to get the sequences out of order and then watch the storyline in the proper order once I've got them all.

Again, no spoilers please. :)

I'm looking for restless crickets for a side quest and have them registered to my Sheikah Slate Sensor but even though its beeping they're nowhere to be seen..? What gives? Any pointers?

They're around the town, you can also use audio cues. Just crouch and look really closely for crickets hopping around.

find grass

Equip blade weapon & perform spin attack

run around mashing 'a'

you'll have those 10 crickets in a minute or two

You have to encounter him outside Karakiko, and then I'm pretty sure you have to encounter him at a stable (he will appear at several, so he is appropriately redundant for step 2). But Step 1 is always in that one spot, because you have to get the nearby quest item.

Oh yeah was forgetting about his maracas problem. The nearby koroks should have left hints to his location somehow

I've encountered I think 3 shrines so far where there is no puzzle, just a chest and the goal. What's that about?

I'm guessing that getting to the shrine itself was the challenge, but I don't accept that explanation. It's not the same itch that's being scratched as inside the shrines. It was just climbing involved.

I felt relieved when I found those TBH

It has no "fall off" the arrows will fly completely straight up to their maximum range, which gives them more range than other bows just by a lack of gravity. It also makes aiming basically brainless.

And I can spawn one of these bad boys a day every single day with <10 minutes of work.

how do I get one?

I'm having a bitch of a time finding the memories. Even with the photos and hints from NPCs, I can't seem to locate them. I've found 2, but purely by accident, just happening by the glowing thing in the ground.

Reading this thread I have seen the name of a place pop up that I haven't found yet
(Tarry town)
. I have no idea what or where this place is, but I would like to have a very general area description (which region, not anything more detailed).

Shields seem to be the thing I cannot find that much of in this game lol. Afraid to even try shield boarding because I don't want to break the ones I have found.

Akkala region.

do I need special tools to climb Akkala tower?
Or is it just a navigation puzzle? those red slime are killing me

no spoilers please! :D

Finished the game. Just an all-around amazing experience. The level of freedom and interactivity with the world is unmatched and the number of awe-inspiring moments that I just happened to stumble upon while randomly exploring are too numerous to count.

I will say though that the game did lose a bit of steam around the halfway point when I no longer felt threatened at all after acquiring a good amount of hearts and figuring out some optimal recipes. I'm hoping that the upcoming hard mode dlc alleviates this as that could very well make this game one of my favorites.

Forget dungeons, I think the most unfortunate of the Zelda traditions that were sacrificed was the trend of nearly every NPC having a unique character model. Granted, the features that most NPCs are assembled from offer a bit of variety, and there are way too many characters (of 5 different races, no less) for something like that to be attempted. Just a shame since the story-related ones that are unique have pretty good designs as you'd expect. At least they made sure than non-Hylians aren't clones as they usually are.

Unless you're referring to the travelling hylians, I think every village npc have unique models...?

Do snow bowling. If you find the sweet spot you can make a good amount of cash.

I had 50 arrows at one point and since then I've been floating around only having 5 at a time. Most of my purchases have been overpriced arrow bundles.
Haven't unlocked that game yet but I'll keep an eye out for it.
I'd recommend NOT selling your stones.
Yeah, wasn't really planning to. Years of rpg wisdom advised against it, lol.

Is that the same for bows and shields?

Also, do you need to get all 900 seeds to upgrade everything to max?

I swear the travelers also have unique models.

Need 441 seeds to purchase everything, there's a reward for collecting them all (not worth the pain), bows don't have a full tab, not sure for shields.

Ugh, I scanned the whole map already but when I want to continue my quest on the beast I get distracted by Shrines, sidequests or in this case improving my armor heeellp! lol

It isn't really a spoiler, but it is a big help for finding memories. But I will tag it anyway.
There is a painter in Kakariko Village, and if you help him on his quest, he will show up to stables and other places around the world painting, and give you tips on where to find the memories that are nearby. He at least points you in the right direction.

I had like 50 ambers so I sold 30 of them and a few opals, I've been keeping all the rare ones though

I've probably sold off 150 amber and still have plenty for what I'd need it for. Some gems/ores are plentiful and you shouldn't worry at all about selling a few if needed.
