There's maybe 4 or 5 shrines where the sensor is actually going to hurt you. Things are buried hard under mountains and when the sensor is going off and how it is going off couldn't be further from where the actual entrance is.
It was actually helpful to me in those cases. They may be the ones for which I'm glad there's a detector (I often turn it off when I discover a new area, but I enjoy the help after some time... Korogus will be the real "explore everything" challenge.
is. I've done the 4 divine beasts, need 3 more memories. I've got the sword. Can someone give me a cryptic clue without straight up telling me where it is?

The Knights of Hyrule kept their best gear in a place where they could protect the Royal Family at a moment's notice. Now, the monsters rule the roost and are hoarding the best gear for themselves.
after that. They appear most often for me in central Hyrule and near the castle. There are two variants that can spawn, the burly guys drop the windcleaver.
tips on parrying regular monsters? i've tried and tried can't seem to get the timing. Flurry attacks are no problem however. Is there something Im missing?
Oh, I also wanted to mention something regarding the Wii U ver.
I heard a LOT of people saying that on the Switch areas like Death Mountain and Korok Forest are unplayable but I went to them and while the forest is kinda dodgy (and this is only in one section) the entirety of Death Mountain is actually quite good performance wise and I only had a 1 second freeze while beating a Moblin but that also happened with them in other areas.
From what I explored so far the only area that I had a lot of consistent bad performance that is not a town or stable was the base of Akkala Tower in which the framerate tanked to low 20s
I still have not explored most of the east side of Hyrule, Gerudo Desert and some kind of jungle kind of area so yeah.
I don't know if this is the intended way but in the shrines where you have to use metal objects like crates to power the electricity you can just drop a weapon on the pads to power them instead, which was awesome until I stepped on it and it electrocuted me
That entire segment was great (although it was pretty confusing when I couldn't find the item that I went there for). I loved finding the
gigantic stash of bananas, as well as how the guards reacted to the bananas in general. Once I made my way into the one room that seemed to be where I'd find the Thunder Helm, I had to laugh when I opened the chest and found more bananas.

Did the Shrine quest yesterday with the Rito sisters.
I had a Korok leaf in my inventory already, so I loved figuring out that you have to use the leaf to blow through the holes to make tones. I had been trying to shoot arrows through them because of that other shrine quest. But when I came into work and was talking about it, my buddy was confused as to why it took me a few to solve. He didn't have a leaf, so one of the sisters just handed him one...thus revealing the solution.
A similar thing happened where I thought the solution to the second half of the
Lost Woods
was so cool. My friend didn't get it...he just wandered around until he got to the village.

An interesting thing I noticed when fighting my first Lynel:
After shooting an arrow at its face and mounting it, the weapon hits don't seem to drain durability while mounted.
So it seems pretty safe to just equip the most badass weapon in your inventory and go to town once mounted.
Yeah, I've already decided that after I finish the third dungeon I'm going to explore Hyrule Castle a big by sneaking in through the side. Once I'm ready for the final battle I'm going in through the front. I kinda want to explore the ruined hyrule castle town now but there are just so many guardians that it makes me nervous lol
Did you guys have to look up guides or online for any of the quests? Some of them are so vague I am having trouble figuring out exactly what I am supposed to be doing.

It's a strange feeling only knowing where 3 incomplete shrines are (event island, the last maze and one major test of strength I never beat), when I know I've only actually beaten half the shrines (I have 64 shrines beaten).
I should still be tripping over them, and yet I'm not. My "get to the highest point in the area and scope out shrines" strategy has probably reached its limit. Guess I'll need to do some actual leg work.
How vague of a hint do you want?
Mild spoiler:
It's gear made for the desert
Medium spoiler:
It's found in Gerudo Town
Detailed instructions:
It's in the secret shop in Gerudo Town. Ease drop in on the bar ladies conversations until they give you the password. It's behind the clothing store on the immediate left when entering the town.

how much help do you want? I found two by looking around from on top of towers. you can see the area and the "seed/plant" thing they are stuck in from them.

IF I cannot resolve some riddle I just put it in the backburner until later... which means that I have some Kass missions from the beggining of the game still in my queue lol
I did, my final impression of the game is that if they could have made a few more Hyrule Castle's the game would have had a perfect balance. They could have done things with the Forgotten Temple that had nothing to do with the story but provided a tight locale to explore that was full baddies and loot. Same with the Yiga fortress. I hope the DLC has a tightly focused area like Hyrule Castle or that future games with this engine get more. I'm guessing it was just time that they couldn't put more in.
I enjoyed the open world the most about the game, it was truly refreshing, but if I were to pick between Divine Beasts or more Hyrule Castles it'd be castles. You don't even have to make it a traditional Zelda dungeon. Give people the option to storm the gate, sneak around, or find a labyrinth to work their way through.
Trick to getting behind these doors in the hebra mountains?
They appear to be stone but can't be stasised or otherwise - tried rolling boulders and shield surfing into it - no levers or anything that I can see either - dunno

For me, the experiences this game has that "resemble" dungeons are:
Hyrule castle
The Gerudo Hideout
the path to Zora's Domain
The quests leading up to Death Mountain Divine quest
The dragon Shrines, because of the epicness.
Lost forest
The dark ruins
the four divine beasts themselves
The Labrynths
Eventide island
And even some shrines. I've done a couple of shrines that are super huge.
Add to these some really awesome shrine quests and open world bosses.
I think that taking these into account, the gameplay experience of this game, cannot be matched.
I want some help with a quest, the one where you gotta snap pictures of certain bone structures...
The "Leviathans". I know they're around the mountains, but can someone give me the general map area to look? Like "in Hebra" is so vague and that region is so damn huge, but as a fan of cryptozoology this quest speaks to me.

I'm having trouble with this too. I've found lots of ribcages and stuff that resemble huge remains, but never any skulls, which are what you actually need.
