I wouldn't know I'm British, although was around when we rioted over the poll tax.
Unless you're a english Nazi, rioting or street battling Nazi's is British thing too...

I'll never get people who saw most of his (political) arguments as anything more than sophomoric. Anything more than undergrad-level analysis. There are truly brilliant writers and thinkers out there. Heck, there are a handful of them in the Games Press, too.
Is the bar for conservative thinking in the games press really this low? Idk, man.

Colin has repeatedly shown himself to be incapable of being a decent human with basic social skills like etiquette, empathy, sympathy, or self awareness. It's not surprising that he cannot take any type of criticism directed at him without stooping to the lowest common denominator (it was a joke guys! anyone who doesn't think it's a joke is a humorless shit bag!). The industry will be better off without someone like him around. This is completely aside from the fact that he barely contributed to meaningful discussions in the past few months, but whatever. I feel bad for whoever has to work with him next because if your own friends can't tolerate your shit in a company you started together that says a lot about that person.
Based on Colin's last couple tweets he just posted it looks like he's gonna go off the deep end.

The ether at the end, god damn!

He's with his people now. Just look at his recent follows and who he really aligns with like Christina H. Sommers, the "fact feminist" who's not really much of a feminist and always says things like boys will be boys.
So we should just give everyone the benefit of the doubt unless we have a personal relationship with them?Do you know Colin in irl? It's weird how easy it is for some to judge the worth of a person based on tweets and a games podcast.
No thanks.. he's right about "journalism"... how many times does copy pasting a press release count as the extent of "journalism" He's dead right that only a handful of people actually do real work like Jason Schreier.

why are you crucifying the gaming press when his issue was it the ibtimes article?

cmon man. not all journalism is investigative journalismNo thanks.. he's right about "journalism"... how many times does copy pasting a press release count as the extent of "journalism" He's dead right that only a handful of people actually do real work like Jason Schreier.

That's not what I'm talking about. I was replying to the post about Colin declaring "real journalism" is dying...
that's what he's talking about. the ibtimes article. so your "fuck the gaming press" seems completely misplaced, especially when you consider places like kotaku and ploygon got the headline right.

Twitter has become the extension of a persons "Id" nowadays, an unfiltered portrayal of the real thoughts and beliefs scurrying about under the surface that they can say through a keyboard rather than express physically or in public.
You cannot separate a person from their actions or words when it's someone you "admire" or "enjoy".
He is exactly who he presents himself as and this notion of not holding him accountable for his own words and deeds is.....supremely baffling.
What are you talking about... fam, I replied to this link:

So, you feel like you know Colin well enough to judge his worth as human being based on tweets and podcasts? Yoinks.
Honestly I'm not surprised that people take things so offensively these days. It's sad though that someone can't make a joke or even just make comments that are unaggeeeable. If you don't like it that's fine don't listen, subscribe, etc. instead we get a bunch of babies that have to let it be known why something someone else said isn't ok. No one cares, and you really don't have a voice beyond the loud small group of babies that have learned to point fingers and make it a daily adventure to find something to be offended about. We've all said things jokingly or even ignorantly and if someone came right back at you like you love to do you'd hate it and think it's unwarranted. It's easy to offended, and go on and on about how horrible someone is. That's easy and immature. Grow up, shut up, and no not everyone that disagrees with you is hitler, a nazi, a racist, anti LGBT and whatever other letters you decide to add every week.
Nope just throwing in my thoughts.you seem to care. you also seem rather offended.

Well yes?
I know that people loves to judge other people that they don't know, and I know it's hard to accept differences lol.

So we shouldn't hold anyone we don't personally know accountable for their actions? Can you not see how stupid that sounds?Well yes?

No, and I totally agree it isn't. But they all just regurgitate the same stuff... And there's other forms of writing as well, not just investigative. There's no money to be made in that sort of long gestating stuff either.
