YouTube link here. Vanilla PS4 footage.

Spoilers, obviously. Nothing particularly new for those who have been keeping up with every video.

Looks like Dad Ryder's appearance changes based on your character creator choices. Neat.

Not going to watch (want to be in the dark) but judging from the comments, it does not bode well for the PS4 version, the version which I have had preordered.

Should I cancel?

Most comments I read on are entirely on the basis because of how DA:I came out, despite the fact that Andromeda is done by an entirely different team.

Nah, every Bioware game since ME2 has been shat on. Going by the hate one forums, you would think the games don't sell, but they still do.

Didn't watch anything because was super hyped about it (except for epic launch trailer)

Tried to watch this

Randomly skipped to 17:00

wtf is this

exploring and combat looks really nice and fun, visually cool, but the cutscenes and some of the ship cutscenes are beyond terrible right now, it feels like the same cutscene tech from ME1 in 2007
I thought people wanted them to make a game like ME1 again. ;P

I'd cancel until you read some trusted reviews or feedback here on 'Gaf. I'm optimistic.

Kind of reminds me of when a new Ubisoft or Bethesda game comes out. You would think if people are done with a specific developer or no longer like their games then they would actively avoid them and rather spend that energy focused on something they actually do enjoy. I guess Bioware is now part of that club now?

well yeah of course, they bought back loot and exploration I love it, but faces and animations in cutscenes is still really rough seeing people walk away from you with a walk like they have a 10 foot sausage between their legs, or turning corners like they just rotated on the spot instantly, or lack of emotion for what happens about an hour in, it's really lacking punch and quality.

Women seem to walk with their arms out to the side more then someone naturally would.

The aliasing on transparencies and the really bad self shadowing is quite noticebale on the PS4. the image looks soft too, is it 900p or is it youtube compression?

Glad I'll be playing at 60 FPS.

I don't understand why GAF hates on this game so much.

The last Bioware games have kinda soured a lot of people on Bioware, for good reason.

Mass Effect 3 ending was some of the hottest garbage ever. It litterally took was should have been an epic conclusion of the trilogy and turned it into one of the most dissapointing endings I've ever seen.

Then came Dragon Age Inquisition. Which was full of awful shit too. Bad story. Bad villain. Bad combat system that was still a joke compared to Origin, they promised the return of the tactical camera from Origins, which turned out to be 100% pure uselessness. Even the meat of the game, the open zones, was incredible dull, full of quest pulled straight from a d-tier mmo.

And I say this as someone who is looking forward to ME:A, so much so that I took the week off to be able to play that and Nier without work distracting me.

Lots of people just don't like the Mass Effect series very much, which is cool. But you get the echo chamber effect with people trying to top each other getting more and more hyperbolic about every real and imagined flaw. Finally you reach peak concern troll, where people are ragging on the game because a random writer narrating a 2-minute video didn't sound confident enough.

What is going on with the faces?

I mean, I'll bitch about BioWare games but some of these faces and animations look way worse than Inquisition. Like Dad Ryder looks like he has a facial tic and his eyes are practically clipping through his eyelids. What is going on?

The Game Informer stream is hard to watch. The game looks "off".

Thats what I am watching too and its really not selling me. I dont care for the dialogue flow at all and seems full of cliches just from the start.
I think I will continue to wait on this game for a while.

binary and hyperbolic people are shitier than any game they shit on.
outside of it bioware games are not that bad so there is maybe hope for you.

This game looks.....rough and over designed.

I'll wait for a sale as there's too much unique looking games I'm playing and going to in the future.

Kind of let down actually.

I don't understand why GAF hates on this game so much.

I want to be excited for it, because I loved the first two games, but the combination of EA seemingly being weirdly selective about what they're showing as well as the crappy animations/faces/framerate have me worried a bit.

Like it sounds like ME:A will be pretty good if you solely care about ME gameplay but that's never why I played the ME games
